That's looking great. It will probably be much more reliable than the original inspiration. I've seen a P1800 give an E-type a really hard time on a track, so the performance should be respectable.
Just stunning! As I approach retirement, I dream of jumping into this level of workmanship - gonna' check out your classes right now. My objective has always been to build a McLaren M8-B tribute car (street-legal) - but - maybe an aluminum body rather than 'glas? Hmmmmmmmmm
Wish I could come do your class, would have made my Riley Brooklands project easier. Bit tricky bringing that over from New Zealand though! Will it be TIG welded? I tried my best to get gas welding to work on mine but after struggling I went back to TIG which somehow now I have magically got the hang of.
He's making a replica of the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso? This was how they made the movie car in the movie Tower Heist that was supposed to be Steve McQueen's Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, as depicted in that funny movie where Alan Alda plays a corrupt Ponzi Schemer Madoff like character. There's a story & video on the P1800 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Tower Heist movie! Incredible work he has done!
He integrated 2 x 3 steel frame rails into the unibody front to back with a Mustang 2 front end. The motor is a Jag V-12 with fuel injection. Spencer built the stainless headers.
@ very interesting. I’m building an 1800ES myself. I’ve always loved the BMW 2002 turbo , so I’m basically building a Volvo version. I want it to look very period correct , like if Volvo had wanted to compete head to head with the 2002 turbo .
There's a build thread on the Grassroots Motorsports forum for what I'm betting is the same car/builder. Search for "Volvo Ferrari 275 Nart" it should come up. Pretty sure the Volvo was picked mostly because of its approximation to the Ferrari windshield shape and not much else of it is left.

If I recall correctly, the Volvo was chosen because the windshield shape is pretty close to the original Ferrari windshield shape and not much is being used from the front half but the windshield and A-posts.
That’s crazy, 9 days! Wray, you are a world class teacher. I plan on doing your class in the future.
Wray, you embody "Walk softly and carry a bug stick." Living Legend. Thank you for all you do for all of us.
Amazing work in so little time!
Thanks Wray and thanks to the student! 👍💪✌
I'm always impressed with how quickly your students learn.
Thanks for the video Wray.
I hope this gets finished. Hats off to the fabricator.
Yeah right...ever seen Wray show a series of videos & a completed project? Never!
Absolutely stunning!
Very Cool. Thanks for sharing.

This has a Jaguar V-12 for power with a 5 spd.

Neat, I’d like to know more about that V12 and how it fit between the frame rails . Volvo 1800 engine bay is insanely tight

Now: why turn a perfectly fine P1800 into a lousy Ferrari?😅
Never seen a project ever completed by you or in your videos, So why bother showing anything on your channel!
