The space at the bottom of the stairs in front of the game room and office would make a wonderful library space. Add oak floor to ceiling book shelves. Don’t be scared to display books you actually ready. It will feel wonderfully authentic and it will suit your home beautifully.

Thank you so much for introducing me to Hello Petal. I ordered the trio of lavenders after I watched this video. They arrived this week and I was so excited. So well packaged and everything pristine. The pots and saucers are just lovely, and the quality of the lavenders is perfect. Can’t wait to pot them up at the weekend. Thanks so much for the recommendation.

When I can’t sleep, I play music designed to help you sleep on UA-cam . I also, take a walk at some time during the day. This relaxes me when my mind WON’T STOP, then, I sleep better because I can relax when the time comes for sleep. It’s taken me a life time to figure this out. Once, I was so tired from being busy, that when I sat down to watch fire works at the end of the day, I fell asleep and slept through the whole fire work show. Afterwards, I joked that I have struggled with sleep and anxiety my whole life, I should have just gone to a fire work show and would have slept like an Angel. Lol

That’s so interesting that on the place settings you have a knife on the left and the fork on the right; in Canada, we have the fork on the left and the knife on the right.

It’s the same in UK and Americas. Seems she made a mistake to me. Not the end of the world but she likes things to be proper so hope she reads your comment and corrects it. Haha she did correct it little bit later in that shot.

@@solo_official-ready I saw the flip later in the video. Lol! There are so many ways to set a table, Lydia does such an amazing job of using new and old, rustic and elegant, I just love her style. Love the home stuff…shoes and bags as my body doesn’t suit the clothing shown, but I still love the style. Wish I were taller, but we have to love the body we are in. 🥰

Lydia- I am addicted to your you tube videos. I am an elementary school principal in the states.... and honestly your english grandmother vibes helps me unwind from my day and is a great calmer. I became addicted after the holidays. I love how you bring the outsude in your home and your signature color of moss green. So from sunny Florida just know that we love seeing your walks and garden tours. Everything is so lush and green. Def opposite of our dry florida tropical vibe! Best wishes and please keep the videos coming.

Thank you so much for showing us a small glimpse of your visit to your grandmother’s! Absolutely the sweetest ever. Grandmother’s and their homes are sacred. Without even seeing your grandmother, it is easy to see from her home that she is a very refined individual. I have been watching your UA-cam channel for a very long time, and I believe that was the best yet!

Particularly your clothing and accessories… whether they are high end or not… you wear with such pride and respect yet you really aren’t too “precious” with them👏🏻👏🏻 You inspired me to start using my “pretties” without over thinking the weather or gravel/muddy roads, etc… I keep thinking I need a special occasion to use my special things… but you remind me that EVERYDAY is special 🥰 Gracias 😘

Hi Lydia, I have to be careful with my terracotta plant pots damaging my wooden tables and floors. The water and coldness from the base causes the wood to mark and sometimes leaving a small amount of mould. I put little place mats under the base to protect the furniture and wooden floors.

I'm curious as to the other musical groups you wanted to see but have missed out on because they've passed. Because I feel the exact same way. Especially pre-COVID I always used to think, "oh I'll catch them next time", and so many wonderful artists have passed away, that now I don't have the chance. So glad you took the opportunity to enjoy the Chili Peppers!

So my dog, a German short haired pointer, loves to dig up beds and ruin them too. What I did was take the cover (mine has a zipper and is removable) and instead of stuffing on the inside, I put a comforter folded up inside. So it’s still plush and comfy, but if she digs and tears a hole, there is no stuffing inside. So far it’s worked great and if she ever has an accident or needs cleaning, I take it apart and can chuck it in the washing machine.

Hai Lydia, I've got a pollination-advice for you! Plants can be self-incompatible! This means their own pollen will not fertilise the plant and you will not get fruits from the flowers! I don't know if this is the case for lemons but in any way: for a mix of genes and therefor a greater genepool in the fruits, it would be better if you only pollinate the flowers from one lemon-tree with the pollen from another lemon-tree to first avoid self-incompatibility and second enhance the diversity of the genpool! Wish you all the best, Lilly

This was 🔥! I loved the various topics. I cannot get over how sweet the part about your granny was. Showing her style and describing her attitude explains so much about you. As for the portion about tablescapes. It gave great inspiration. However, I was a little confused and concerned about the number of pieces used. As with jewelry, I usually opt for the less is more approach but will likely be a little more adventurous. This specific example may have been for editorial purposes though. It does not seem people-friendly because it created a divide between the sides of the table. I decorate with the vision in mind but never forget that my guests talk with each other across the table. Still, I will keep this in mind for decorating for a buffet.
