I love watching how confident you've become from your home decor to just being more transparent. I really think all the Internet bashing has brought out the best in you. I've enjoyed every version of you, but I really believe you've come into your own.

I applaud the fact that you truly love supporting heritage brands vs worldwide luxury retailers not that their items are not worthy of purchasing however there are many who only have clothes tailored for their unique body shape which when worn allows oneself to feel confident in their appearance. Well tailored clothing vs off the rack is truly night and day! Well done Lydia! I hope that you will continue to experiment with sourcing fabrics and tailoring pieces for your wardrobe as it is very rewarding ! My grandmother would create her own patterns source remarkable fabric and sew her own bespoke dresses so my love of tailored clothes started as a child who loved watching the entire process firsthand! Have a lovely week ahead 🌸🌿🌺

Your calm response at the vet's office shows the importance of emotional intelligence. It's crucial that more people recognize its value and actively learn this essential skill! It’s unfortunately not common. Your self awareness and positivity is wonderful!

I’m on the journey to , I feel a lot calmer “ How can I think of this differently “ in a positive way …I even hear other people being very negative etc and I want to say to them “ How can YOU think of this differently “
I understand from a neuroscientist , that you get a high spike in the brain when you are negative , may be it’s a soothing response and it can be addictive. It also can be a lifestyle habit .

I don’t know why but I thought this is how anyone who’s late to an appointment would react. OK, I’m late, it is what it is, I’m at fault and misunderstood the time.
What’s a tinge unsettling is trying to understand why anyone would kick off in the first place and get mad/ angry for being late to their appointment..
Maybe I’m missing the point, I don’t know.

Hi Lydia, the induction hob will only work with the right size pots... small pots on the smaller stars, larger pots on the larger stars. I don't usually comment, but while I'm here, I'll just add that I'm totally smitten with your content...I've only been watching since you've started gardening. You're truly blossoming as a person, something that I've noticed gardening does to people ❤

    • @danishpastry6137
      @danishpastry6137 4 місяці тому +1

It's to do with the composition of the smaller pots as well, we bought a small pot from one brand that didn't work (our induction hobb was brand new at the time), another pot from a different brand in the same size did. Ali knows how induction works, as an electrician, so I'd trust in his judgement her.

I can not wait to see the day you no longer feel you have to wear Hermès just because you can. You sometimes make yourself look like a billboard....it's to much the shoes, the belt, the bag. Maybe just pick one. Enjoy the luxury of course. But real peace and freedom from it all will be when you can wear what you want without having to prove you have made it.
You will look great supporting small local businesses aswell.
      And feel good about.
And honestly it's what you wear not how you wear it. You are so close to having that confidence and peace

Now that I think of it, it could also be the diameter of the pots. Some hobs have problems with smaller diameter pots to recognize them. Try, if your hob recognizes the larger pots more easily, it could also be that on your hob some positions are meant for the larger pots and some for the smaller ones.

Had you made a big stink of it we would have discharged you from the practice… we have plenty of other clients… did you know the Veterinarian s have the highest rate of suicide of all MD’s? Send them something nice or a thank you card for seeing them both. 100% sure because you handled it well you were seen…. We generally have the power to do that.

Cubbie suggestion; put riser in back half of the cubbie to stack shorter jars, put same height jars in front. You could possibly have 6-8 jars per cubbie and be able to pull one jar down without removing the jars in front.

So cool hearing you talk about gut health. This year I decided to read one book a month about gut health and it's been soo helpful to my own health journey. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of this book called Super Gut by William Davis, MD but a section in the book talks about how bacteria in the gut can make you less empathetic to others and hearing you say how you calmly accepted something that wouldve easily annoyed you instantly reminded me of that chapter. Good luck on your journey and if you're inclined, I would highly recommend that book.

Your vlogs are a special part of my week! Relatable and enjoyable. I'm in love with the tweed blazer and now Scotland is on my list. The only trouble i have watching is idea overload and wanting to buy a lot of your items you talk about. Im still waiting to find out what style oval labels you're using from the label maker and brown or glass jars that can be used with that label next to the sink! It's the home items for me!

The jacket is stunning! I am glad you are pointing out that's what luxury is. As an Italian, I grew up paying attention to detail when it comes to clothing, bags, etc. Not because I was wealthy, but because craftmanship is what makes luxury, at any price point. Fabulous stitching, proper cuts, excellent material: that's what makes luxury and that is also what made luxury when luxury brands started out. Now, there's a fixation on branding and everybody calls it luxury. Not the same thing. While it is possible to have both (a "luxury brand" that still works at luxury standards), it is also true that a lot of "luxury pieces" aren't actually luxurious any longer, but people don't always understand the difference.

I love the fact you are keeping heritage alive. The jacket is superb. If you source more fabric, you should get a hat made. You really suit them. My husband used to wear those all the time. No baseball caps for him.

I really liked your explanation about the tweed jacket's " road to existence":-).It makes alot of sense to support the farmers, workers from the beginning to finish let alone have a lovely long lasting product.Never thought of it like that.I realise not everyone can afford it always but for those who can it is a very good way to help and support.❤

The length of the pants are fine - they're not riding up to your ankle when you're walking. They will feel like they are because of the width of the pants, but I promise you - they are not. They're actually puddling around your shoes. Beautiful as always my girl - My mother hand made all of my clothes growing up because I had such long legs it was impossible to find pants that were long enough - this was in the dark ages before "tall" was a thing. So growing up I had a "bespoke" wardrobe! People have been sewing their own clothes or having people make clothes for them since forever. My grandmother made wedding dresses for brides and hand knit and crocheted sweaters etc... for people. Your jacket is beautifully made and it looks wonderful on you. And it will last a life time -

I adore your new jacket Lydia. Please stop feeling you have to justify what you can afford, the jacket is beautiful and it suits you perfectly. Ignore the haters, they're everywhere in life and you're never going to please all of the people all of the time. I can't afford to spend £2k on a jacket, (maybe one day hey) but I can appreciate how your jacket costs that and I am pleased for you that you have it. Don't waste another moment on anyone who has an opinion on what you should and shouldn't be doing with your money, that you have worked hard to earn! x

You’re amazing lovely and thank you for this comment I promise you I know that my core audience knows this and I’m so grateful for this incredible community we’ve all built. The reason I now do this so much was the last time I didn’t pop a caveat like this into a piece of content, a large portion of people were upset and that’s not what my content is about. So I think for their sake, those who may stumble across my content to feel acknowledged and seen, despite our community knowing that very evidently on this channel, that’s the case. I pop these caveats in to diffuse any potential upset. It’s not fool proof but I’m doing my best 🥰 I hope that makes more sense x

Lydia, the induction sections sometimes fail, in your case it seems like just that particular section is not working properly. Anyway, be aware some pots are even labeled “induction” and they are not.
Congrats for keeping your cool with the appointment issue. Well done!

I rarely comment but I want you to know how much I truly love your videos. It's like an episode of a tv show that I love. I will never meet you in person. I live in the US so the odds are very slim :) but you seem like such a genuinely sweet and lovely person and seeing wonderful things happen for you and Allie really makes me happy. I feel lucky that you share your world with us even though as you explained it opened you up to criticism and caused you much hurt and pain in your life but you are a better person for it. Your acceptance at the vet's office really gave me pause and I'm going to work on that in my own life.
