Normally I don't comment on anything but this guy who games deserves more views, I remember when I found this channel and went to sub, I expected based on the quality of the videos for him to have at least 50k subs, but it's just a little over a tenth of that. Quality deserves recognition!

As bland as this game is, I actually did really love linear 3d levels rather than giant worlds that i had to explore again and again for stars. There was something neat about loading into a level and having a crafted hallway experience. It also made progression feel fun. I'm in the minority with that opinion though
I also liked the linearity, just wish there were more level themes and longer levels I feel like sometime I'll play through a level wanting more as I get up to the end
I feel like the levels were short because it was on a handheld device.
That game sold 12 mio. copies...don't think you're in the minority here with that opinion. ;)
About the worlds thing, didn't galaxy 2 and 3d world also have really inconsistent themeing between worlds? Like world 3 in 3d world only had one ice level.

Super Mario 3D Land is honestly one of my favourite childhood games, being the first game ever to really hook me on a game. After I picked up my 3ds again a few months ago, I started playing, day after day. Eventually, I beat the whole game. Every star, every flag, both as mario and luigi was beaten. I finished the final level and felt content. This game has a truly special place in my heart.
Counterpoint: I will not remove my rose-tinted glasses, this is the best Mario game ever made and you are wrong.
Jokes aside though, this video was incredibly entertaining, and the production value is absolutely nuts! Bravo, man. I'm glad this video was recommended to me, and I'm looking forward to what you post next!

I thought this game had download play and to play with friends like in new super mario bros ds
I had a VERY fun time with this game and playing 3d WITH REAL 3D mario on the go was.
I really liked the Tanooki suit (even though its called racoon suit)
I beat the game sometime in 2015 .
And i loved every second
I would LOVE to see it on switch or the next Nintendo console

It's wild watching and listening to this because yeah, I spent a pretty good chunk of my childhood playing this game and I barely remember any of these levels, even as you're showing them. Yet I still remember the game very fondly (even though I cursed it out a decent amount of the time because of the shitty depth perception). It was just a really good time killer for a portable console.
3D Land is kind of like junk food. It tastes good in the moment but is it really a lasting experience? Also great video, I do think this game deserves to be talked about even with its flaws

This game, donkey kong country returns, and mario bros ds are the three games that I 100% 2-3 times a year because they're 100% gameplay is awesome

Super Mario 3D Bland. There's some levels I really like, like W5-1 that has a more varying layout and theme, and W3-1, which is more open. But most levels are those random textureless blocks where little is going on. And Mario's physics are kinda terrible. His speed is slow and there's barely jump distance, which causes me to fall a lot.

I agree with a lot of this video but I still love this game! I 100%ed it 3 times as a kid.
A lot of these complaints are things 3d world does worse or doesn't change, it just has multi-player which makes any game better

I thought 3d land was world but I finally got it. I played it when I was super young but didn’t know it’s dang name.
I have a very intimate relationship with this game. It was my first 3DS game and the first Mario game I could call “mine” and not “my family’s”
It’s certainly not the best game, but I still come back to it now and then. I’ll tell you what, you should try to play 3D Land coinless. You can pick up star coins, but you have to beat the game with zero coins.

I think a lot of the design of the levels has to do that is was developed for a handheld and made for short burst play.
While not in any way remarkable I do play this from time to time on my 3DS if I want a bit of 3D mario to play.

3DS requires both eyes to use 3d. I only have one so the 3d stuff never worked for me. XD

I've 100%ed this game, twice. And I can't tell you anything about it. Like fr, every single level is like the exact same. The worlds aren't different, and overall, as much as I personally loved this game. It's mid.

I can't believe it took this long for someone on UA-cam to finally talk about this game's critical flaws instead of just parroting the same BS about how it's a sadly forgotten quirky underrated hidden gem that saved the 3DS and is therefore objectively good with 0 flaws whatsoever and is the peak of the system. I at one point thought I was crazy for thinking the game was boring, had bad depth perception, control issues (like the Mario running problem), and was overly padded.
Are You sure because 98% of reviews i see on UA-cam spend 87% of the runtime saying 76% of this game has no personality, story or anything of value whatsoever
