I've seen that water thing done with pie crust. My question is can I use whiskey or other alcohols or would the flavors be lost? Also will you do any wild game?
I got my mom to watch full metal alchemist brotherhood with me, and she ended up loving it. I was even able to convince her to take a day off of work to finish the series with a massive binge. It was so freaking good, and so fun. I should make these for her sometime.

After the first bake of your shell brush some egg wash inside and on the sides. It create a barrier between the filling and the dough and it will plug the docking holes, which sometime can lead to some leakage. Then you put it back in the oven to finish cooking and set the egg wash. In the french recipe for shortcrust pastry there's egg. Also, i'm sure it tasted good but if you really want it to be nice and rich, use half whole eggs and half egg yolks, cream AND cream, salt, nutmeg and Espelette pepper.for the filling. My 2 francs.

i made a spinach quiche a little while back, and didnt have a food processor, but mixing by hand just enough for it to combine went great. i also didnt have pie weights, but freezing the crust for 20 minutes prior to baking worked out beautifully, and the bottom was as beautiful and flaky as the rest :) turned out great, heard no objections at the dinner table :D

For my Easter brunch buffet I always make an asparagus and egg quiche. Very pretty. 😸 I put cayenne in my crust for savoury food. I think it makes it extra delicious. My mother favours a cabbage and bratwurst quiche, but for me the recipe of the dough is to complicated. I like my simple flour, butter, egg and flavour dough I eyeball.

I did that, but the dough ended up too greasy and did not hold itself, the sides of the crust just fell down and shrunk and the extra dough from the border, I put them in the oven too and they ended up way too crumbly (ate them anyways). I mean, it was still good, but my quiches ended up being more like big oven omelets with some crust on the bottom x) What went wrong?
