I wanna ask, Chef, is there any significant difference between your rolling pin and the one with handles? I've only ever used a handled one (a wood cylinder over a metal rod) but I'm curious if your dowel may work better.
7:00 "Can you *not* play with the dough at every opportunity given?" I've been a pizza cook for 2 years and I can safely say, the answer is "No". I still smack the new dough supply like a drum every single time.
@@CHEFPKR Thanks, but I refuse to call myself a chef because I haven't done the work to earn that title. I'm a cook, but hearing that from you means a lot. Thanks for all the recipe tutorials, my roommates and gf really appreciate them!

The scent of sourdough can raise me from "I've been working for 8 hours already, please someone kill me" to "hello, world, LET'S GET SERIOUS!". Amazing variants: a flaky piecrust-style dough for empanadas, a non-yeasted dough with increased potato and deep-fry for samosa, or go full lumpia/spring roll. (I still make your seared-tomato curry to pair with pasta a lot. So good.) I was surprised that this was vegetarian!
I did my interpretation of this and made a pizza with a curry sauce. I used some Roma tomatoes a had into some pre-sauteed onions, garlic, and bell pepper. And then when the tomatoes broke down I add a curry block and stirred until the sauce came together. Then made the pizza sort of a Margherita pizza style and it was delicious.
these are more like Curry Hotpockets. but larger. my way to make them is make pizza dough like normal, but decrease the moisture of the dough. [soo all that glorious curry flavor can soak into the dough] then bake it on a pizza stone, using a cast iron pot.

OH MY GOD YOU FINALLY DID IT!! As a fan of Food Wars, I wanna say this looks so delicious that I’m getting a foodgasm from it. I’m so glad that I’m subscribed to your channel. You make great anime food recreations!
Oooh yes! Finally! I loooove both curry bread AND traditional calzones with a passion, so this dish is one I’ve been curious to see made IRL. Can’t wait to try it!
Nice job chopping those peppers nice and small. I saw someone get kicked off of Chopped because they didn't cut their veggies small enough for the judges to eat with a spoon.
It is called Curry Puffs or Karipap(local calls it) in Malaysia. It has been a famous local food with varieties of fillings from plain potatoes to chicken, meat and sardine
it takes me forever to get around to watching videos with my new work schedule, because I've learned the hard way, don't watch good food videos on an empty stomach. so now I wait til my lunch break on friday and saturday nights, (which is technically 3am on a saturday and sunday respectively) or watching them on sunday or monday on my day and a half off
Isami is a great character and quite relatable, despite being a great chef he sometimes feels insecure, likes to tease his older brother, gets curious by almost anything new he comes across and loves cosplay caffes.
I made this after watching the vid and it was dope! Also made a pepperoni and cheese calzone and a sausage, pepperoni and mushroom one, then the last was a mix of all them!
Tried making this today, but since I don't have oven, I just went and deep fried it after adding some corn starch on the outside to make it... crispy? XD still taste pretty good.
FYI, Vessi's holiday bonus is 20%, which is $2 more for the $135 shoes so it costs me money to use your code. I hope you get credit for click throughs in some way (though I technically took a look when Northern Lion mentioned them offhand in a stream)
Hi chefpk it might have been better to cut the potatoes before adding them instead of keeping them in water using the potatoes natural starches as a thickener, since letting them sit in water makes them lose that starch.
Hey chef, I’ve been really interested in sustainability in my meat consumption so I wanted to know if you had any ideas for game (like elk or deer) organ meat. I’ve made things like duck pate but I wouldn’t know what to do for a lot of the other stuff. If you have some fun ideas I’d love to hear them!

Looks really good. I am slightly confused/disappointed by the omission of garlic for all of this. But the recipe is the recipe; the magic of being a home cook is that I can add it myself lol.
I just realized something from Food Wars. Why is there always like a full stadium of people watching them cook? It takes a while, and they have nothing better to do? Like I understand if there is a competition for world’s best chef, then yeah of course there is going to be a crowd. But there was like a full stadium for a random shokugeki.
this video has reeeeaaally strong joshua weissman vibes... I'm not saying it's a problem, I love that guy and this is a good video, but i hope this is part of the search of your own style, keep up the good work!!
This is the first video I've seen from this channel and I spent an embarrassingly long amount of time trying to figure out if there actually were two people involved or not.
Wooow this recipe is one of my favorites, Thanks ChefPK, excuse me do you think it is possible to make the thousand leaves of Rindo mushrooms from season 4 or the potato udon from season 3 of episode 16?
Speaking of curry, have you ever though about making the bread curry from Black Butler. There's chocolate in it. If always wandered what what it tastes like, but I'm not that experimental in my own cooking. Although, I'd eat any curry made by a hell of a butler like Sebastian... Actually, any of the desserts Sebastian made would be yummy as would the demon himself 😋

The dialog between "cooking-you" and "narrator-you" was hilarious, totally your A-game 😂
100% agree!
The narrator is his twin
In malaysia, we call it "Karipap" or "Curry Puff" and the fancy one are made with deep fried puff pastry! A popular snack in Malaysia .
Malaysian here, and I'm proud of these curry puffs.

One of the underrated Dishes. Isami deserves love too. :3
Do you know voice actor in japanese is Yuki Ono ? Who also did Kiryu in Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's.
Wait what? Josuke's VA?
I love this because it reminds me of curry puffs which Is common in Malaysia. Would love to do this. Thanks chef
yeah the things that different from curry puff, calzone is bigger also make it more like pizza dough instead
@@EzartJMir when i saw the video is was thinking: isnt that that just a curry puff? thanks for telling us
If I have to name 3 underrated dishes from Food Wars, this one is one of them.
In the Philippines, we call em Empanada...minus the curry flavoring and with bits of shredded chicken. Yum!
I once made red lobster biscuits and stuffed them with leftover curry. I melted after 1 bite😋
I loved making these when the episode aired, they were AMAZING

Interactions between In-kitchen PK and editor PK are GOLD!!!!
This looked absolutely amazing… I kind of want to attempt to make this.
I totally agree, as someone who watched this without eating yet this is making me super hungry
I already ate a heavy dinner of rice, stew and potatoes, with ice cream for dessert... but seeing this made me hungry again.
Every time I watch an episode of Food Wars or Toriko, I always find myself craving something.

1:10 I just cook for fun sometimes, and one of the most intoxicating smells is the smell of a yeasted dough. I dont know why, but it hits different
Might try this, but ill probably sub the bell peppers or carrots for eggplant though because I think it'd work well
Yes!! This is one of the first dishes I made from food wars, I even made the grape yeast isami mentioned
Nice! I actually had a really hard time finding the wild grapes out here so I just went with good ol yeast
This is a recipe I am looking forward to trying.

I like doing it this way so that I can control the thickening :=
Protip for grilled cheese: butter/mayo the outsides, sprinkle with curry powder > grill. Enjoy.
Oh hell yeah
Please do Lugh's cream stew from The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat and Denji's toast from Chainsaw Man.

I think I'll use the hot filling when making it, and at no holes in the dough
That sound of the knife hitting the board when you chop is music to my ears.
I honestly can't imagine how it would taste with the P5 curry inside...
Now I'm drooling 🤤

I thought about it, but my mouth was in the middle of losing its skin.
Wow, I didn't expect your channel to be this full of contents! Great job 👏👏
Thanks!
could one add a bit of shredded cheese before wrapping the calzones up?
This gives me an idea for a curry pot pie. Maybe some pulled chicken in there too.
