  • Today’s topic is about propagation of our houseplants. One of my previous videos showed revival of Ficus Umbellate, and a branch cut off at that time will be used today.
We can apply the same propagation method for other Ficus trees as Ficus Altessima, Ficus Benghalensis Audrey, fiddle-leaf fig and rubber trees.
Do you know how indoor plants are managed by professionals? Here we can go through the ways of maintaining house plants guided by the expert working at a production site from Japan: watering, cutting, reporting, propagation, and an arrangement as BONSAI. You who would be a beginner for houseplants can also enjoy many types of houseplants.
Hopefully you will enjoy the series of the videos. Please do not forget to like it and subscribe if you have not done yet. Many thanks and have a fun!

I just purchased four umbellatas 10 cm each. When do you suggest repotting and to what size? I noticed you plant in tall planters which are hard to find here in my area - California. Need your advice. thank you!

Thanks for asking. You would wait until the current pot is full of the roots, then repotting to a larger pot. If you repeat this exercise, then your umbellate would be bigger and taller in general. I think that they will grow well thanks to the nice weather in California. All cross fingered!
