Love 💖 your Houseplantpixie (Monique) - Навчання та стиль
Hi Monique, yes i know what you mean about "making the decision" - i had mealy bugs all over two of my succulents and i tried once to get rid off them but those "bastards" 🤣 came back - so into the bin they went!
I too get them occasionally on my Syngoniums - as another of your subscribers mentioned - and find if i get a cotton bud and dip it into isopropyl alcohol and then straight onto the bug it kills them instantly - i almost always find them on the new leaves that are just starting to uncurl. Great video and i love you included your gorgeous fur babies!
💖thanks for your comment I really appreciate it. Glad you were brave enough to toss them. Have you got air flow around your Syngoniums? There is more videos coming up with the fur babes💖
@@Houseplantpixie actually now i come to think of it, no - most of my syngoniums are placed in medium light areas further away from the windows so are not getting alot of air flow - will try moving them closer and see what happens 😃👍🏻
@@pinkpaisley4520 💚hopefully it helps. So far my Syngoniums have been doing fine....hopefully it stays that way
What a beautiful plant! I love the ficus family.
I was curious, what is the plant on the wall behind you? The one climbing up the wall with almost heart shaped leaves. It's lovely.
💚thanks for your comment. Do you mean the dark green one? That's Syngonium Chiapense 🌿
Great video and informative as ever!
So, what I heard backed up what I think happened to me then. I moved a really large syngonium from my lounge to outside on the deck last summer, while I painted. It was outside for a couple of days. A few weeks later, mealy bugs everywhere! Made the call sadly to bin the syngonium, as it was heavily infested. That was a good call as you said to make the decision re: is the plant worth the hassle
Also, like you guys, I have all the windows open in summer, but have now put a really fine insect mesh over them, which hopefully is fine enough to keep pests bugs out
I do have a question, how do the transfer from plant to plant inside? Do they fly or crawl from plant to plant?
Laughed out loud at the end when you called mealy bugs 'Bastards' too funny, but get it!
Thanks for your comment 💖I believe that the bugs go to plants that haven't got enough air flow and the weak ones. Glad you tossed that Syngonium it's not worth the hassle 💚🍀well done
@@Houseplantpixie Weak ones - That makes sense, as I had a Hoya Bella that I over pruned and that was the first one that befell mealy
Can I buy it online? I am from France
Thanks for your comment ❤ I do believe that you should be able to find it online. 😀
