Negligible difference while gaming. Not worth the increase in temps and power draw over a standard +200 Mhz boost and - 20 CO. But hey, if you have a beefy cooler, yeah why not.
+200 and -20 co doesnt give any multi core boost. Just single core. Most modern games utilize all 8 cores. So you are getting around 6-7% uplift in games if you do all of this. This is almost as big as a generational uplift vs 7800x3d in some games.
Your statement is all over the place. 95 percent of all games are going to be limited by 1 primary thread while most of them often only effectively utilize 6 threads or less, so often only a few cores. Gaming is not multicore and the biggest differences you see in this CPU is not because of thread saturation in certain scenarios but because frequency is more important in situations where the game fits into the entire cache anyways. @@nikolajovanovic3647

I have a msi 240 v2 liquid cooler, it goes up to 95 degrees in cinebenc, is this normal?
With this CPU? If so, I would say something is wrong.
Nice but i prefer to keep pbo with 200 override and just good curve. If you hit in game 5.4 is fine. At 1440p maxed its usless to force bclk
Buy an Artic Freezer 3 ,360mm AIO. You will get better temps and be just fine.
Nice 🎉
thanks!
is it safe to do overclocking with these settings? I just want to know. if it does I want to try it.
No dangerous voltage is being used so it is perfectly safe. Just make sure you have adequate cooling.
@ thank you 🙏🏻
I'II, try you overclock settings see what happens. Have same MB, CPU. G Skill 32GBTrident Z5 Royal Neo 6000MHz CL28-36-36-96 and Strix 4090 OC
You are the best
My 9800x3d is 60-70c idle and in game its 95c.....i must have done something wrong, this cannot be correct can it? My SP is 115 according to the MB with latest bios (TUF gaming x870)
@jordan3802 you should be in the low 40's for idle. That seems way too high. What are you using for cooling?
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer My comments keep vanishing for some reason, its Liquid Freezer ii. I have a picture of the install but i dont think youtube will allow me to post the link
That is why, please don't use links
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer .....guess who forgot to take the sticker off the copper plate....issue fixed lmao
Glad you got it sorted.
being nice and showing your settings so people can stop asking
Instead of them stopping
Now they ask to do this on all possible motherboards

@@nikolajovanovic3647 Lmao what, of course you get improved multi core performance, what are you even talking about. Most chips can comfortably hold 5400 on all cores in gaming loads. If you care about CB scores you might have a point but then again, not worth it.
Cannon spike!
unfortunately my motherboard does not have that BCLK2 option
ROG X870E APEX soon
Why would anybody need that?
@Bang4BuckPCGamer nothing like APEX to OC as new 9900X3D and 9950X3D on the way so they just made the APEX X870E 2DIMM to replace GENE miniTX X670E 2DIMM, you have an APEX ENCORE so you know what they're capable of, good job there bro 👍
@@UruguayOC With Intel it makes more sense though, not so much with AMD.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer maybe not for the average user but as moreX3D CPU's are on the way and APEX is the king of DDR5 OC and Core OC it will be very nice, i commented your video as i was about to buy a ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO and then i saw the news. Keep your good work bro!
5600mhz should the score of r23 Over 25000
In a heavy load like that, the 5.6 will reflect in the single core test.
I get over 24k just with a -30 curve and 200 boost and Cl30 6000 ram. Someone else on reedit got 24400 something yesterday also with a -30 curve and 200 boost but 8000 CL38 ram. All you're doing is ruining the lifetime of your chip even more running it at 5.6ghz. If you don't even get higher scores than I get on 5.3-5.4 what is the point?
The point is my single core scores are considerably faster than anything PBO and curve optimizer can achieve, while maintaining multi threaded performance.
Youts does cuz u have a massive ap of 111 thats crazy
@Shuttterbugg it seems to be normal. My other 9800X3D has an SP of 115
Hello @Bang,
Is there a better ram than the kingbank ram you listed? What is the fastest ram for the 9800x3d? Does a-die or m-die matter? Just want to get the best for my build and doing research now. Thanks in advance.
I am really not sure what the fastest ram is for AMD. I have seen people using 8000MHz+ Ram with the X870E motherboards, but that is not via 1:1 ratio so it is not always going to give much better performance. My advice would be to buy a low latency 6400MHz kit of ram like CL30, and tune it with custom timings.
@Bang4BuckPCGamer ok, thanks for the help man, you the best. This settings make the core run between 5.5 and 5.6 ghz all the time right? Kind of like and allcore OC? Also, are these settings stable to run permanently? No risk of degradation?
Thanks Mr Bang Bang
@@quesawea5142 This is just a max all core boost increase. Under heavy load like Rendering a video, or blender the cores will go down to 5.4GHz. Having a static 5.6GHz would require a constant high voltage. This way is less stress on your CPU
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer ah, i see. So can I run this 24/7 for gaming or I risk degradation? After the whole intel 13/14th gen degradation fiasco I am worried, hoping you can give me some reassurance coming from you I know its someone who has deep knowledge in safe voltages and degradation stuff.
Cheers
This is perfectly fine for 24/7 use.
Unfortunately i don't have eclk on my motherboard i heard you kinda need that for curve optimzer..?
Where did you hear that?
