    Damn that 4090 running 3045 at 47c - If that's air cooled that has to be a god bin or is this water cooled?
    So what would this be.. +300 on the core yeah but did you need to give it more voltage manually or just keep it hella cold for the normal boost?
    Awesome work btw, did the basic tunes on 4 - 9800x3d so far now and my god they just love getting to 5425mhz and staying at this clock speed unlike past x3d which would bounce around like crazy even if cool.

    any chance can you do me a huge ask. my temps get pretty high when doing heavy stress testing. the hardest i can hit the cpu is with compiling shaders for the last of us or uncharted. that game uses oodle kraken compression which is heavy compression and doing the decompression + building the shaders hammers the cpu
    im running a custom ek loop. with 2X 360mm rads and my cpu can max out at like 94C when doing that which its nuts. when running cinebench R23 for 20 mins it only hits like 89C. can you share what temps you get when doing that? im trying to do a sanity check if its normal or i just got a bad bin chip.

    CPU Cooling = ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360? Interesting you were able to get these results w/o a custom loop, nice job. I've owned three AMD sys in the past; 2950x, 3700x, and 3950x all of which had horrible stability issues so I've opted to stick w/ Intel.
    To be clear each AMD sys had QVL memory, latest bios, ryzen master, windows updates and w/ PBO disabled (stock settings). I would get random BSOD, no POST and just sluggish desktop performance. I could understand perhaps one sys having these issues but THREE???
    So I guess you could say I'm an Intel fanboy bc I've NEVER had any issues even despite the most recent 14th gen degradation issues which hasn't affected any of my systems but I also tune them and don't use bios default settings.
    I've been tempted to give AMD another chance BUT there have been ppl who have tested older games (for which I play a lot of) and Intel still leads in that space due to architecture differences for the time period of the game development.
    I think if you mostly/only play newer games and if AMD is actually stable now then it is def a no brainer to go with. I do wish I could try before I buy w/ AMD considering their history but $1000 for a platform switch is not something I'm willing to gamble w/ considering my history w/ them.
    Intel really needs to get their sh!t together as imo they are in serious trouble in the desktop space.

    Negligible difference while gaming. Not worth the increase in temps and power draw over a standard +200 Mhz boost and - 20 CO. But hey, if you have a beefy cooler, yeah why not.

    • @nikolajovanovic3647
      @nikolajovanovic3647 28 днів тому +4

      +200 and -20 co doesnt give any multi core boost. Just single core. Most modern games utilize all 8 cores. So you are getting around 6-7% uplift in games if you do all of this. This is almost as big as a generational uplift vs 7800x3d in some games.

    • @Stardomplay
      @Stardomplay 28 днів тому

      Your statement is all over the place. 95 percent of all games are going to be limited by 1 primary thread while most of them often only effectively utilize 6 threads or less, so often only a few cores. Gaming is not multicore and the biggest differences you see in this CPU is not because of thread saturation in certain scenarios but because frequency is more important in situations where the game fits into the entire cache anyways. @@nikolajovanovic3647

    • @Bang4BuckPCGamer

      I am really not sure what the fastest ram is for AMD. I have seen people using 8000MHz+ Ram with the X870E motherboards, but that is not via 1:1 ratio so it is not always going to give much better performance. My advice would be to buy a low latency 6400MHz kit of ram like CL30, and tune it with custom timings.
