      Hi Adam - needs must - I don't get to go much due to work and weather , so best take advantage when both the weather and work give me a break - also felt that I should post the videos almost right away, as I have not done much flying nor posting of videos this summer.. Oh the weather has turned once more - the very next day it was windy and rain !!! - Stay safe - Martyn

      Hi Jeff - I have enough comms chatter now to make a full flight of it (in fact I have some videos that are like that already somewhere in my vids on UA-cam).. LOL - I really do like this one and thanks for your kind comment.. Stay well - Martyn

      Hi Sean - yes it really is fun to fly - good flight times and easy to handle - no stability RX needed as I said I have a AR410 (simple Spektrum 4 channel RX in it) - I am happy with this one 🙂 - Stay safe - Martyn

      Hi Airhammer - don't get to go much due to work and weather , so best take advantage when both give me a break - felt I should get the videos out PDQ - as I know I have not posted many flying videos over the summer - it was a great day.... Thanks - Stay safe - Martyn

    Congratulations on the maidens Martyn. Nice throw on the take off. The F-18 looks to be a good plane.

      @FlankerTanker  Рік тому

      Thanks - the maidens were some of the less stressful ones I have done in quite some time - I have some more to do that I think might be a bit more on the Hold your breath and concentrate side of flying - but we will see - the F-18 is all set up and now is nice to hand launch as long as you give it a real hard shove - anything less and it will touch the ground.. this F18 is sweet to fly , lots of fun.... thanks again - Stay safe, Martyn

    Bank and yank holiday 😂, sorry Martyn couldn't resist. Great flight, they look so much better without the wheels hanging down 👍👍👍good flight time too !BTW I miss Gerry Anderson too 😢

      Hi Ramon - Rudder what's a Rudder LOL.... I do like a good old Bank and Yank - thanks for the kind words, I totally agree these edf's that do not have retracts are much better looking and some even fly better without the Landing gear.. - some a more difficult than others to hand launch though, meaning I do still have a few with the gear on !! - I go back a long way with Mr Anderson (and I am not talking about the Matrix) LOL... Hope all is well in your world - Stay Safe - Martyn

    Wonderful flight Martyn….Q: does the ‘grunt’ help with the launch⁉️😎😜

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  Рік тому

      Thanks Noel - Oh yes the "Grunt" is Mandatory at the club - we are mostly a bunch of old timers , you know at the age when you make a noise getting up from a seat - so something like a hand launch needs that something extra a nice loud "GRUNT"... I could edit it out in Post production, but that would take away from the reality of my experience LOL...... Bet you wish you had never asked...LOL.... Winter is coming (and it had better bring good weather with it).... Stay safe - Martyn

    Love the camera placement, I had that plane once , never got near 5 mins , you must fly it better

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  Рік тому

      Hi Ironmover - it was about the only place I could think of putting a small camera - everywhere else, the camera could have caused lift issues... it is interesting regarding the flight time - it was only 5 mins but it is so enjoyable it sees a lot longer when actually flying it - great fun.. ever thought about getting another ?? - Stay well - Martyn

    Hi, thanks for sharing, great flying and conent! 😎 👍
    Could you tell us which nice camera you are using on the jet? 😀
    It looks smaller than the hawkeye firefly.. 🤔

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  11 місяців тому +1

      I do not know the Hawkeye camera - the ones I use on my aircraft that cannot take the RUNCAM2 - like this one are Mobius 808 No.32. Key chain cameras..

    Do you use SAFE on take off or at any point? I'm wondering if I should use a reciever with it. It will be my first jet.

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  8 місяців тому

      It does not have SAFE or AS3X, I replaced the AR630 with a simple AR410, and I tend to only use RXs with SAFE , etc... for Maiden flights and a few flights after , then if I feel it is not needed, I install a cheaper RX like the AR410 or AR620, neither of which support SAFE or AS3X....For the Hand launch I have a throttle to Elevator mix switch programmed into my TX...full throttle has 5% up elevator mixed in with it, once flying I then swith it off... I would suggest you have SAFE available for your first flights, and if / when you have the feel for the aircraft, then think about a cheaper RX.. better to be SAFE than sorry...pun intended...Cheers...

    How do you like it with the 2500mah battery instead of the 2200 recommended?

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  Рік тому

      Good Question - Unfortunaly I cannot answer it as I Don't think I have ever flown it on a 2200 , because the Admiral 2500 and another brand 2600 I use in it, fit in the battery bay 100% no issues and give me the correct CG.. for me it is such a nice aircraft to fly set up like this , not sure if the extra 300mAh gives me anything time wise, it's more down to easy of use and CG how I like it... -
