A fiend once told me about this hunter from Texas. He hunted in Colorado and got a deer. This dead animal was tied down over the hood as he drove back to Texas. Imagine how bad that caucus would be after that drive as the engine slowly cooked it.

One time I went thru a drive thru with my bearded dragon. The staff were amazed and most wanted to pet/touch him. Got a few questions about him and general questions about bearded dragons. Fun time. Yes he enjoyed the attention.

I'm going to say this story backwards, I was the one with the weird thing in the car!
So myself and my now husband were on a road trip going to Southern California in order to attend a Mad Max festival and we pull into a Carl's Jr drive-thru just to grab some grub because we already had hit the loo at a previous gas station but we didn't feel like gas station food so we decided to grab burgers.
We had a camelbak set up with a spigot hanging from the back of the passenger seat so we could drink water as we drove however the hose leading from the camelbak up to the mouthpiece had been decorated with a plastic snake skeleton.
As we pulled up to the window to pay I needed to take a sip so I had the skeleton head of the snake over my mouth and the cashier stared a few seconds before collecting herself before she asked for payment for the meal.

A McDonalds I frequented always had the same guy working drive thru all day every day. I felt bad that he never got rotated to something not dealing with customers. One day I place my order and start driving to the window when a car full of teenagers speeds around the corner and cuts me off. They handed the guy a handful of money and he handed them a handful of napkins. The passengers started hopping up and down in their seats excitedly while the car drove away. I don't think those were JUST napkins, and I understood why this guy apparently always volunteered to work the window.

As a smoker I’ve always found it incredibly bizarre that people go through the drive thru with lit cigarettes or actively vaping. For one, we live in a state where that’s literally illegal (gotta be at least 20ft from any door or window that’s not your own home) but also just incredibly freakin rude. Like, the sheer audacity of it.

When I worked at McDonald's, I i had someone come through before 7 in the morning smoking a bong. (No judgements)

Welp, this just made me realise when I'm tired and getting a late night dinner after work, the times that I kinda forget what I ordered or get confused... the workers probably won't even care because they've seen some stuff that day.

I was working at McDonald’s in late 2013, a white Ford transit came through the Drive-Thru. The back was COVERED in blood. It was like a murder scene, i looked shocked. They’d kill deer and Skin them in the back. They then asked me if I knew of any badgers, they wanted to hunt them. I just said no. Served them and then warned the next window.

I had a pantomime dame in full makeup once (we were near a theatre) so I gave them no obvious reaction, then called up window 3 on the intercom and got them to do the same :)
Had some students also try and go through without a car but had a rotting sofa they’d got from somewhere, put it down outside the window and pretended they were in a car. They were summarily and politely told to fuck off and I suggested they try and blag their way into being a passenger in the car of one of the random people queueing, which they did eventually

Also not in a car but I was working that same drive thru when 9/11 happened, I had someone tell me a plane hit, ran through to the tiny break room tube TV in time to see the second one. Spent the rest of my shift telling my customers “Did you hear the news? No you need to put the radio on right now”. It’s my generation’s JFK: Everyone knows where they were when it happened. I hope the next generation doesn’t have one of their own.

Wasn’t me who got this guy but when we had closed up for the night and were chilling, we found out someone offered to tip the guy at window 1 with a joint, and he refused, at which point we are all going “WHY DID YOU SAY NO WE COULD BE LIGHTING IT UP RIGHT NOW?!!!”
We also trialled hot dogs and immediately nicknamed them “Muttleys”, and there was at least one occasion where we played “ice hockey” with brooms and a frozen donut. Good times

Me and friends are the ones giving the workers a story. Before work we were in a parade and after went to taco bell for drinks. We work in a haunted house so full costume when we pull up to window. Girl working got someone else to help as we were too scary for her.

I was busy stocking our drive through when I hear my panicked coworker call for me to come help at the window, when I got there the lady in the front seat was absolutely nude and wouldn’t leave (we hadn’t charged her yet) so my manager made me help her because I was one of the only females left on shift

Oh 1 I can answer. I used to be a manager at Wendy's back in the late 90s & early 2000s. I was the closing manager & we were right off the interstate so we got a lot of ppl. Once this guy came thru the drive thru backwards. It wasn't an ez drive thru to get threw & this kid did it in reverse lol & 2nd story it was spring break & we have a car come thru at night with 2 girls in a convertible with bikini bottoms on & no tops on. Best one ever lol oh I did have a girl pull me part way out of the window one time & kiss me. Didn't expect that at all lol

Parkinglot next to my work palce has about a 5 foot drop. One day someone got really pissed off at how long they had been waiting in the line and RAMMED THE CAR AHEAD OF THEM OFF THE EDGE! Thank christ the girl in the other car wasn't hurt. Can only imagine what that asshat got charged with. Found out it was the ladys ex and they were apparently going through a very contentious divorce, and she already had a restraining order on him.

I’ve seen bicyclists (huge liability concern in case someone isn’t paying attention and finds themselves a new hood ornament), but people on motorcycles and motorized scooters like vespas are okay. If anything, because they’re road legal, a little more material between the car and the person. Had an old man in a Vespa with a backpack carrier on, a budgie (I think, some type of domestic songbird in the very least) in it.
Pedestrians even worse and I have refused to serve them. If they can walk to the drive through, then why shouldn’t they come in? The same train of logic applies as is bicyclists applies
Had a person on so many medications (between benzos and opioids) that she could barely function. Legitimately concerned because she was behind the wheel.
A drive-thru pharmacy really is an entertaining place to work.

Dumbest: A toddler sitting, unbuckled, in the center console of this ladies SUV. Made me really mad.
Strangest: A lady who sounded like she was about to cry and how upset "he" was about his messed up order. Manager thought she was a DV victim, but she sounded really weird and didn't sound scared, just crazy (I'm also a DV victim, so it's not like I'm not familiar with it.)
Most angering: a guy who just sat there arguing with his GF/SO for 5 minutes, deciding what to order, and was actively hurting our drive thru time and created a line of cars. We told him as such and asked if he'd like to come in to see all the options, he got pissy and said he didn't care. He was as ugly as his personality.
We've had food thrown at us for not being able to understand people who didn't speak English before either. One man whipped rice at my coworker for getting his order wrong because he wasn't speaking to her in English. MULTIPLE people will be greeted in English and STILL speak Spanish whether you understand it or not...
