tchelicon.... aka behringer... turning the screws again on the little people.
Enjoyed the run down 😎😊 nice work as always
Thanks man!
Stream Deck Plus, you can still use your USB mic.
the elgato wave xlr is a good shoutout too. it lacks the physical controls of a goxlr but the software is robust and has vst support
pair the Wave XLR with the StreamDeck+ and you've got a great GoXLR replacement imo. It's working great for me, shit if I didn't already have money invested in an XLR mic I'd just grab some USB mic and the StreamDeck+.
Been thinking about getting the due. But can not find for the life of me how to use it with usb gaming head set. Wondering is that possible? Would hate to buy a whole new headset just for the due.
got a Goxlr a year or 2 ago was thinking about roadcaster duo with desc space not being the big thing I was also looking at other output devices like the Streamdeck Plus and Elgato kinda want to keep the setup going with the Shure Sm7b and would think the route to go would be with the Roadcaster Duo kinda want to wait though until the device stops working would that be best?
Oh if it's still working for ya...use it.
Not gonna be much value for it on the used market.
Who knows...maybe something changes
8 months later, should i get the goxlr or something else. I know the updates wont be happening, but until windows updates and makes them obsolete, would it still be worth it or not (i can get one for around $150)
RCP2 and a Streamdeck for me. Three Canon cameras into an Elgato capture card. Go big or go home…or maybe I’m just compensating??? 😮😂
The GoXLR was my first streaming-focused interface. I sold mine a over year ago when the RCP2 came out (and I switched from primarily streaming to pre-recorded podcasts as my main creative outlet), but I still have a soft spot for it. The routing was the best in the game (and still a bit easier to navigate than the RCP2 in my opinion), and those motorized faders were probably my favorite feature. I will seriously miss this device.
I'm curious about that Razer unit though. It looks the most similar to the GoXLR, and at that price, it might even be worth trying out. I just can't stand Razer's software, so maybe it'd be better to avoid it
I agree the routing on the GOXLR is dead simple. I'll likely get roasted here for saying this but I bought and returned my RODE duo and stuck with GOXLR because the routing and sub mixes were so much easier to do on the GOXLR.
Hello, I'm Brazilian and I didn't really understand the message of the video. Are you saying that the Go Xlr will stop working? I'm thinking about buying one to stream. Now I'm scared to buy it.
If I was still using Windows, I'd be considering Roland Bridge Cast as a direct replacement for my GoXLR Mini. However, I'm not using Windows due to work related reasons and much to my surprise the open source software for GoXLR works very well using Ubuntu. So I'll stick with my GoXLR Mini for as long as possible regardless of support from TC Helicon or not. When it eventually sunsets I really don't know what to do. Probably go back to using my old Rode NT-USB mini. Hardly the same thing though. Not looking forward to wrestling with open source software to get EQ, Compression and Noise Gate working.
Bro....i knew I made the right choice when I got the rodecaster pro 1.
I'm still using my GoXLR but i have the community made program and it works just as well as the day i bought it. Ill continue to use it until it dies.
Where do you go to get all updates etc?
Rodecaster pro 2 for me
Unify is out on Beta for Mac
Noted!
Thanks for the heads up!!
@@DarkCornerStudios you welcome sir
The business RODE was too hard for Helicon to travel?
Ha!
I tried to avoid any rough jokes like this.
Fan boys take that stuff personally
@DarkCornerStudios I think it will prove true that in 30 years you can review your RE20 again but all these smart products will be incompatible with Windows 18 software, or a dead piece of silicon. Fits the modern business model of profitability and profit maximisation.
I got a GO XLR a week before the announcement, now i know why it was so cheap
Shame

The Razer audio mixer is over a year old now so not that new, and yeah its basically a duplicate of the goxlr
I am out of touch with the extremely gamer focused gear.
I need to pay more attention
@@DarkCornerStudios to be fair im pretty sure almost no one even knows it exists lol
My history with their stuff has been spotty.
Never owned a razer product that didn't break
Rodecaster duo for me
Hard to beat.
It's my goto on my Mac setup
I guess you could say that they're...
...TC Heli-gone.
I was totally gonna use that...
Figured that WAS too soon...
Bahahaha
mine completely died anyways ..turned it off went to bed woke up turned it on and no sound output at all ...did all the troubleshooting ..uninstalled re-installed .checked and switched cables even tried on another pc ..same result ..500 bucks gone ...
Oof...sorry to hear that

Speaking strictly as an audio engineer? Not much of value was lost here. These mixers were functionally dumbed down versions of practical any regular mixer that you can pick up and run anywhere.
The TC Helicon team primarily also develops effect processors for live vocal performance, so it's actually a little nice for a change, to see them focus on this and not gaming / podcasting.
Finally - if Røde's or ZOOM Corp's offerings are by-and-large better offerings at the same budget, then there's surely no qualms with jumping ship to a reliable platform and manufacturer?
Damn huge L. I LOVE MY GO XLR
as a Streamer, BEACN is the bomb!! My BEACN mic is SM7B level and the software is the best of both worlds of TC Helicon and Elgato, when they offer VST support this year, they will be hands down, the best for live streamers for total control and for dealing with music on the VOD on twitch!! I have mentions the USB BEACN mic in this channel, but Dark Corner Studios doesnt seam to want to review it since it is meant for live streamers and on has support for 2 Mic's in the software, sad!!
This video kinda is outdated

I'm glad I only briefly considered goxlr before looking at rode products 😅
Lol
