If they heard blue screening even with the given context, I can guarantee you they would instantly go "but it's in recovery mode, that wouldn't happen on Linux though". I love Plouffe’s joke about segues ended up actually being the segue. You can tell the guys were actually just having a genuine laugh together and it wasn’t a planned joke by the way they were laughing but it worked perfectly

I love how I've never learned French but understood that part anyway. There have been conversations like that at my high schools languages building(It's maybe 8 classrooms) where it'd be a 2nd or 3rd level class and someone wouldn't know even the first month basics from the first class. And earning mad respect for basically getting grossed out "ewww a geek" shit from some pretty bitchy actress while talking about his 40k collection, despite the fact a) he looks like Henry Cavill, b) he has the money of Henry Cavill, c) he's famous because he's Henry Cavill and you really gonna act like your disdain for his figurines means shit. Yeah. Linus' team geeking out about PCI slots and ten thousand dollar CRT widescreens got that kinda vibe. Because can YOU afford a ten thousand dollar CRT? Thought not.

This and archeotech is my favourite things, those and the rate my setups are some of the videos I can't help but watch the entire way through. Although he once did a like two and a half hour build on first time PC builders and I freaking loved that video, it was fantastic. It's easy to be all excited about the next Compensator build but, you know I mean after a certain point it's hard to explain just seeing like GTX 680's in SLI in a laptop that has good enough speakers for crab dancing just gives me more joy than looking at 4090 framerates at this point. I was looking at Walmart's projector's today and it occurred to me it was more exciting thinking about than some Asus $1200 monitor.
Alex consistently seems to do things for giggles, expecting someone to stop him, and then no one stops him. So either he does it on purpose, or... these are the things that seem reasonable in comparison to what he _normally_ asks for. These "garbage grab bags" are such fun, please keep doing them.

You know for the character flaws I can readily see I think Linus is actually a decent man. Like he's an actual person, he just has high expectations and a frustration threshold with that, what do you call it nervous energy I can vibe that I got after I quit drinking and smoking like that NOW FASTER thing that makes you more prone to frustration. But he cares abuot his team, and he's clearly the kind of guy who's been burned willing to stick his neck out for someone even when maybe you always shouldn't.
