25% of FF7 Rebirth is a party game, minus the ability to play with friends who also have to deal with the broken controls to make it fair fun.
I think queens Blood in particular would be an amazing multiplayer game.
The fact that almost 30 years later people still havent figured out a big reason of what made superman 64 awful is mind boggling.
I remember being a good for my age gamer that could enjoy just about anything and I absolutely hated that game and never got past the first level.

I was able to complete the last two rounds after an hour or so of practice, and had only played this minigame for the first time today! thanks for the video, one echnic that work for me was, after the 500 circle before the final glide, i go back to the fans to get one last push and then i did the final glide, for me it was so much easier to get the 2 final circles at the end

Tips I found from beating it after a few hours of struggle. namely how to dive.
to regain altitude after a dive you need to be diving at full speed, you will know you've reached top speed by audio/visual cues, namely:- there will be air jets trailing from the bird's wings and you will also hear a gust of wind (that's your cue that you have reached top dive speed). You won't be able to do a sharp ascent unless you are diving at top speed it seems like it works on a momentum system. And as you say ascend to full height all of my failed attempts where when I tried to judge my ascent myself rather than just ascending as high as the bird would let me it seems to keep the bird on course using a sort of invisible boundary.
Also I can't wait for part 3 of this remake series, I can only imagine what kind of minigame misery they have instore for us my money's on
do a full cross fit circuit against Jules, as a frog, ridging a chocabo whilst also playing a piano, if you don't complete it in time Bahamut arrives and casts Gigaflare.
Thank you so much. I meant to mention the sound and I was just crunched on audio time even when slowing it down. I think the sound comes after something like a flat 3 seconds of a constant dive then makes you eligible for ascension. I'm really thankful that you're a repeat viewer it really means a lot to me. Oh, I forgot about the crunch mini game. I played it so many times, but eventually got lucky to get a flawless run. The last PITA game to 100 is the piano and I'm doing that in small chunks as well.

It's that last dive-bomb that destroys the run. Most people don't know that you can literally circle around between fans before that for as long as you like before reaching that 300 dive-chain.
The last one... you can't dive too deep into it because on the way back up, you will overshoot the 300 and if you try to correct, you're not high enough for that last double drop. I learned that you need to pull up just a bit earlier giving you enough air to tap the 300, pivot and drop into the last 2x500's - it's a pain in the ass but not so hard once you've done it... so you NEVER have to do it again!

This is the original route for course 3, not the other easy route that u turn back up and rise again . Superb and nicely done!!

I struggled in parcour 3 with the hight so i never reached the second to last 500 ring. So at 10:23 I turned around flew back to the fans and got the hight back that I lost getting these two rings and the moment I did it I got max points.

One tip to add is I was struggling to even get high enough turning around - i went slight wider and past the fans then turned so i went up facing the right way so I got mass altitude then dive as the 300 is going off your screen, and then pull up a bit before the end of the climb, then its perfect - enough height to do a fancy drop into center to finish

If you stay in the center on the final ring you can get more height, even fly over the ring. If you clip the right side you hit an imaginary ceiling that reduces your total height. You can also double back on some sections and relaunch for one you missed. For the final dive, I grabbed the first 4 and then relaunched and lined up the final dive.
I need to check out this imaginary ceiling you speak of. I didn't notice anything like that during my runs but that sounds like something SE would sneak in

You see it a lot. When you maneuver optimally you'll hit what looks like an invisible ceiling drop after ascents and it'll bump you down a little bit.
Appreciate the vid. I've only completed the first run, but I'm gonna only do one at a time so I don't get too worked up over it. Damn is it a bad game. It's so slow and hard to control. You can barely see some of the goals.
I knew this part was gonna be a slog when it took me over 5 runs just to figure out how to control it. And it took 15 minutes just to do the easy course. I can't believe they let this game launch with such an unfun game. At least when it took me forever on a lot of the other games, I kept looking forward to retrying them like the space shooter and the box game in corel prison
This one is really hard as a beginner but once everything clicks after some practice it's really not bad at all. If I use the turnaround strategy in my pinned comment I can go back to level 3 and get another perfect score with only a few attempts. It becomes like riding a bike

I wanted to perfect the first course just to get Yuffie’s weapon. I could never go above 500 because I didn’t realize all you needed to do was glide all the way (I kept diving each time). Thank you thank you😢 Not even sure if I can platinum this one because of this minigame, but I’ll go worry about the other course after I beat hard mode

Finally, hit it after over 9 hours of game clock. I dont remember if you explained but make sure to nudge the top of the two 500 rings after the last zigzag on third course. It pushes them a little bit, but maintain good centering or you'll drop just outside the ring on either the top left or right or them.
I think it's shown, and If I didn't I certainly meant to mention that, it was tough cramming all the information I had in a coherent manner lol
@@Gatabud To be more accurate, you want to nudge the drone thing that is producing the ring and drop into the tip center of the ring. And ya, if your gaming notepad looks anything like mine, it's a miracle you can even put a instructional vid together LOL.
Nice video. This wasn't too bad for me. I remember the Chocobo race in FFX being way more annoying.
Catcher Chocobo is forever seared into my brain. Forever the goat of insanely hard but beatable mini games
The literal only way i got those last 2 rings on stage 3 was after getting the last 500 before the dive I actually turned around and used the fans to get back up in the air higher. This gave me enougb dive time that I got the last 2 rings no problem.
Correct, this makes it easier, I did a short a few days ago to supplement this video thanks to this comment section. Shame on me for not finding it myself
First time fimding this channel, and I must say I am impressed.
Good presentation, good explanations, wonderful editing for showing details of the run, and the regular speed unedited run after with minimal commentary was icing on the cake.
His encouragement scattered through the video together with his own testimony of how hard it can be was welcome. It was very nicely paired with the footage of his IRL reactions to his failures and eventual triumph.
While going over the same info again was indeed a bit annoying, the explanation that accompanied it made it much more tolerable
Cannot recommend this video enough and I look forward to seeing more of what he has done. If this video is representative of his usual quality, I may have found a new favorite guide maker.

Also, at that last drop after the zigzag of the third course, diving a bit lower than center and pulling back up will put you higher on the last 300. It basically puts you further along the course when you peak and youll easily get enough height to make the last rings. Once I noticed this, I got the 9600 on the next run and I was at least past the 75% mark on the last 300.

@@Gatabud Last pro-tip, don't toss your ps5 controller in celebration. I gave it kinda hard toss/slam onto the top of my dresser and broke the L2 shoulder button and cracked the bracket it connects to inside the controller. A replacement trigger assembly is 15 for both sides and needs to be soldered in. I'm waiting for it to arrive. Appreciate the tips man.

You're not an idiot, you can do this. There are several Minigames in this game that had me feeling like they were impossible at first but I practiced and figured em out. Let me know if you need any advice
What I noticed I just done in beginning the third if you can't get time right with top right follow that and turn right if it coming down or lift it coming there do opposite of do it to much just enough 😊
This video was great, but let me add on to it. For the last part go back to the wind mills after the two 500s. You can’t go back after that. Then you should have enough altitude.

for round 3 I think I found a better approach in that you can do a double pass, like collect all the loops before that final dive and then turn around and fly back to the propellers to get another full lift, this allows for a better approach for the final dive. I have vid if you like.

The one I found the easier way was that when you get that last 500 and then before you go to the 300 one and then glide down and then go up to the last 300 one there is one easier tip is that get to that 500 don’t go down the 300 turn around then go to that last glide part that give you boost to go up try that then turn around get that 300 glide down get all those points and then in end you see the good results that when you hit that last 300 you get so much higher and then bam you get those last 2 so easily

I just casually redid it this weekend to complete the quest on hard mode to unlock ultimate party animal again and I wasn't even close to getting the top 500 ring, and I barely got the bottom. It's insane I actually won this without doing the turnaround strategy
It took time, but I beat every mini game in Rebirth
Cactuar Crush, Gears and Gambit, beat everything in 1-2 tries.
Chocobo racing, beat everything within 3 tries (except the Bahamut course, that shit drove me nuts).
Sit ups vs Jules, 30 mins
This shit though, that last f’in course, 5 hours
Wasted several evenings trying to clear that nonsense
Hands down, the most time consuming and frustrating thing in this game
Nice!!!! This one took me a long time, but piano was the most difficult for me.
@@Gatabud it sounds counterintuitive, but if you set the piano speed to 2-3, it’s so much easier!
There’s also a ps5 accessibility setting that allows you to zoom in, so I zoomed into the 2 wheels.
With these 2 things set, the piano mini game is much more manageable!
If it wasnt for glide 3, tifas sit ups (took a good couple hours to beat Jules) and the stupid frog jump game (got a time of 1.10 about 600 times in a row 😂😂) i would have got the platinum in 150-160 hours.. all i have left now is glide 3 and im on 180 hours. So 20 hours for 3 minigames. #Update i just got the platinum in 180:40 :)))
That intro montage is literally me yelling "nooooooo goddammit!" every time I only got one of the two 500s at the end lol but I finally beat it today I think just by pure luck at the end! I finally got enough height to let go of R2 and drop down into the final 2 500s, my thumbs were shaking and my controller was so sweaty lol. Different topic but do you have any tips on the jumpfrog minigame and Pirates Rampage Ghost Ship? I know those ones are more skill based and I should just practice more but it's still hard for me

Glide 3 is legit the final thing i need for the platinum. Wasnt hard mode that stumped me, wasnt bonds of friendship or rulers of the outer worlds, wasnt 3D sephiroth, tifas push ups... gilgamesh... no. a stupid target flying chicken mini game is whats preventing my platinum 😂

Aa far as the first two 500 moving markers i usually do it by by flying into the left one when its still on the left then i fly into the right one when its on the right i dont wait for them to come together i miss sometimes but i get it about 90 percent of the time of course your way is correct also gatabud i think your way is better
I like that but I also like that with mine starting at the same time it also makes the later part consistent and predictable
This may be a stupid question, but how do you ascend? I hold up on my Left joystick and my Chocobo just descends the entire time so my score is pretty awful (I’m

No such thing as a stupid question. When you hear a wind blowing noise press forward on the left stick and if you have descended enough without interrupting then you will ascend

Hardest mini game with only S-Rank Piano on the last two songs toppling this.
Finally completed this challenge after hours upon hours of attempts. My only advice for those still trying is that if you’re having trouble with @Gatabud’s strat, you can also run the strat linked below to backtrack to certain updraft fans to give you an added boost for the final dive. Regardless of what strat you use, you have to be pixel perfect on this challenge to get the highest grade - much like the Jules crunch-off.

You know gatabud there is a mistake a made many times almost towards the end of the course there is a way to get maximum altitude i mean serious altitude you get so high up in fact that you can miss the 300 and 500 and 300 right before you have ti make the perfect nise dive this makes it perfect to get the last vertical 500s but again your so up that you can miss the as permentioned markers so if you do this you still must decrease altitude and for sure you will miss this is a mistake dont do it players

It hilarious how none of the none of the 3 directors or the producers can get it through their heads after 25 years they didn't work on non JRPG games developed by Square Enix for a reason. In an interview with Game Informer around 5 years ago Yoshinori Kitase was surprised how negative the reception to the minigames in FFX.
I'll give props to the chocobo racing in the gold Saucer because Motomu Toriyama did direct Racing Lagoon.
I am having fun BUT I will say this... For better or worse the FFX mini games were gating ultimate weapons that were absolutely game changing and all of these mini games are relatively low stakes with only a platinum trophy on the line
Perfect altitude is the key but again there is a way towards the end to gain too much altitude this is going to screw things up
I have only seen that happen at end if I go back to the fans and get a fresh altitude
I can't even more count all the trys I've done on third stage. That last circle will make me mad; or I give up on the platinum🤬

This was probably the least fun minigame in the entire game. I hated every second of it. I'd rather have to beat Sephiroth as a frog.

Hi gatabud i pkayed and win exactly like you even the way we got the last two 500s is the same we didnt drop into them we just kind of glided into them so any tips i give out would be exactly like yours you see you and i are great ff7 players winning for us just comes .... naturally....

I don't understand dive bombing I pull up but nothing happens
Keep diving straight until you hear a sound and then pull up.
Also fixing the camera on you makes it harder cause it's hard to guage where the rings are.
Are you talking about my face box in the corner or the fact that you can't move the camera? You can pause and enter photo mode to look around
Lol, that just adds more tedium to the experience. I've got the controls and techniques pretty much mastered. I've beat everything besides the last leg of the last course, and like you, that's where I'm beating my head... I can hit all rings and make it to the goal, but drop only halfway between the last two pretty much 9 out of 10 times. It just takes so long to get to each run. Last night, I spent 3.5 hours on the last course only. Def enjoyed the vid.

@@Gatabud I finally managed to beat it using your tips, thank you. Dear God. While I love the story and characters, I can't see myself replaying this 2nd part too much. With Remake I re-play that all the time. But these mini games are killing me. I still can't get Tifa's Dragon Claws from that box game. LMAO.

@@Gatabudthanks, I need some tips on. how to dive bomb because everytime I dive, I will tends to skew to left or right, making it misses before the I ascend.
You can adjust slightly, but the key is lining up properly before entering the dive so minimal adjustment is needed. I talk in the video about seeing the numbers inside the circle, really focus on that
This side quest triggered me so badly. Worse than the chicken!

I'll just say that if I met the guy who decided to put in a mini game that is this unfun and with such broken difficulty, I'd do what the guy from Casino Royale did to Daniel Craig at the end in the chair without the bottom. The only redeeming quality about this game is that it's the means to the platinum trophy. The feeling of constantly being "cheated" due to how precise you need to be is just enraging.
This one's tough for sure. That's hilarious. I don't know if someone can get a video demonetized for a comment but this video has made a whopping $4 since I crossed 1000 subs so even if you did I'd forgive you I'm playing the long game and doing this for the love of gaming
