- I recently renovated my basement with new framing, Lifeproof vinyl planks, painting and sheetrocking. I also showcase various tools i used like rubber mallets, The RollHammer and more. Watch this video if you want a general overview of basement renovation and how to install vinyl floors.
Thank you for your well made video and installation tips.
Cool great job 👍
You don't need a saw. Just score with knife and snap it been installing lvp for years now. I basically just use 3 tools. Utility knife hammer and tapping block. Occasionally a jig saw for round cuts. Don't even need a tape measure
So helpful. Thank you Roll Hammer Time !!!! 🥰💪🏾🙌🏾🔥
Ingenious idea thanks for that.
Nice hammer
Thanks 👍
Great info. thx

It works great
Great Video ! What is the minimum thickness x width x length of vinly plank i can use on DMX 1 step to avoid pop out and long lasting floor life
Hi. How necessary is it to apply the red waterproof sealant? Does you basement get extremely humid? Not sure if I need that. My basement is mostly dry. I do have a dehumidifier. Thanks
curious about this as well
Basement cement floors will always have some humidity, so I added the Red Guard as an extra protection. Dehumidifiers will keep your basement dry as well. thanks for the question
I need this tool! It is out of stock!!! When is it coming back???
sorry. not sure.
A tapping block does not damage the product. If it did the manufacture would not have it listed as the tool to use to install it
Roll hammer?
Hi, thanks for watching. I use the RollHammer because it helps speed up the floor installations, especially getting to the last board. you can check it our at www.therollhammer.com
Cool. What was the color of that lifeproof flooring?
HI. Ocala Oak was the color. Thanks for watching!
Ya there is no way you should be using that big metal tool to install life proof. Your Damaging the locking system and don’t even know it. Just cause you can’t see the damage does not mean your not damaging it. I do vinyl plank every day especially life proof. The proper tool is a tapping block rubber mallet and a pull bar.
This RollHammer tool did not damage the locking system at all. In fact, it made the job easier and helped us move quicker. And it was especially great when we got the the last planks up against the wall. I would continue to recommend that tool because it worked for me.
@@letsdiy2gether239 that’s what a pull bar is for the last row. You may not see the damage to the locking system but I’ve been doing it long enough to know your comprising the integrity of the locking system. I’m also a certified inspector of all types of floors
@@3rdGenFireChicken I cannot move the planks once in period! Using the suggested tools are ruining my locking system!
