    Did you do a cost comparison of building this set up vs pre made outdoor composit cabinets.? Of course that’s a different modern look just curious. Your ability in building far exceeds mine. Looks great!

    • @letsdiy2gether239
      @letsdiy2gether239 Місяць тому

      I didn't do those comparisons. But i did compare the pre-made outdoor kitchen sets vs. doing it my self from scratch. It was way cheaper to do it myself from scratch. They charge a huge premium for the pre built, do-it-yourself kits.

    Future reference, if you ever need to cut cement board again, or drywall gor that matter. All you need is a new blade on a good utility knife. Put your t square across the board and score it 2 or 3 times with the knife. Push in on the back side of the cut while pulling back on the top of board. Snaps off like magic ❤

    • @letsdiy2gether239
      @letsdiy2gether239 5 місяців тому

      I did use 3/4 to give a little bit more height, but I also felt the 3/4 would add a bit more rigidity to the 1/2 playing surface. Thanks for watching

      We(recently retired poker pals) finished our table using only 1/2 in ply and no legs as we are using a standard folding table as a base reasoning that pretty much everyone has one around. Our game travels every month so we needed something lightweight and your plans fit the bill. Thanks again for posting.

    How about using mdf to make it even lighter? Also if i wanted to have a high railing or put some LED lighting, can you suggest any changes in the steps?

    • @letsdiy2gether239
      @letsdiy2gether239 7 місяців тому

      Hi, yea if you wanted to add LED lights and a high railing, you would need an in-between step before you add the rails. In the in-between step you would build out the high rail. In my opinion, putting a high-rail on a foldable table might cause issues. Not sure how strong the MDF would be, I'd be concerned about sagging. Good luck!

    • @xSnakeEyes86
      @xSnakeEyes86 6 місяців тому

      MDF is heaver than plywood. If you added a raised rail you wouldn't be able to fold the table the same way, if at all.
