- DRAMATIC moment Ukrainian defenders blitz Russian units hiding in former residential buildings in a village in southern Ukraine.
The 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the attack took place in a village near the city of Huliaipole in the southern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The brigade joked that they organised a “hellish party” for the invading unit after noticing them travelling to the Ukrainian village to “look for a DJ and musical instruments”.
The Ukrainian brigade said on 27th May: “In one of the hamlets in the Huliaipole region, orcs organised a mass movement. They were very busy - they were probably looking for a DJ and musical instruments. With the help of cannons of 45 rounds and cooperation with air reconnaissance units of 15 GU DVKR and Azov, we organised a hellish party.”
In the footage, the defending forces identify several buildings in the village and rain down bombs on the Russian positions, apparently destroying military gear and killing enemy soldiers.
Russian troops invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 96th day of the campaign.

If Ukraine can get the weapons they need to defend themselves, then victory is inevitable
Unfortunately Biden just refused to send long range M270 MLRS to Ukraine...anything truly long range weapon systems USA is not willing to send Unfortunately because they afraid they would/could be used to attack targets on Russian soil.
So unfortunately it seems that USA/Europe is only willing to provide as much weaponry that it makes it really hard/impossible to advance all across Ukraine but makes it possible for them to take entirety of Luhanks, Donetsk and likely keep their positions in south.
And after that what we likely on our hands is frozen conflict, just basicly bigger scale "frozen" war than what it was between 2014- February 2022 where neither is able to advance much
yup. they're got the skill and the stay. And they deliver, time and again. Russia may have them "outgunned" in sheer numbers of weapons, but their weapons haven't the sophistication; neither (apparently) have they the skill, loyalty to mission or to leadership; and they have now dropped the recruiting age limits. Apparently, though, thousands of Russian families are still sending their loved-ones into battle without questioning just WTF Putin is doing.
News update: Biden *rejected* Ukraine's request to deploy long range missiles which are able to reach Russian territory...

@Jim Stewart Before a barrage takes place like this you take the time to create notes of distances between designated targets in a field book so after you start, you can quickly make the proper adjustments to hit them and minimize enemies time to flee the area. You take a couple shots and use that to triangulate the zero point. Then you use the notes to quickly dial in the next target location while the loader team does their thing. It’s really a lot of planning and timing to accomplish this type of an attack. Also in this situation I’m sure they were getting real time feedback via the drone operator

It's not like all of them are actual orcs. The orcs were sent to Bucha for example, to strike terror in both the enemy and their own troops. Currently the people of russian army sometimes happen to refuse to go in. There was an episode, when soldiers refused to go forth, and then the commander started shooting and waving his gun to intimidate them telling he'll shoot at them. Then one guy just ripped the ring off of grenade and said "Do it, I dare ya! I'll make sure you die with me then." Actually, it's a rumor, but it was reported by a russian soldier to his wife via phone.
But I guess, you would struggle to see through the dehumanization by both sides.

@@dhy5342 Well actually it was a town, but the russians have the record on turning lands into deserts, russia leveled the city of Grozny , and made the same effort at Aleppo , destroying everything and everyone is a russian terror tactic, just like Genghis Khans mongol hordes.
They probably failed every assault attempt and resorted to artillery after loosing too many troops, this operation could be done by special forces house to house combat that way you avoid colateral damage and even capture prisioners for Intel.
