- FOOTAGE appears to show Russian soldiers 'forced to flee' as Ukrainian Battalion unleashes mortars and heavy guns.
According to this footage released by the K-2 Battalion / The 54th Mechanized Brigade, 'The enemy is retreating The assault group of the K-2 battalion (54 OMBr) knocked the enemy out of the fortified DZOT.'
The Cyclops position was taken under the control of the battalion. The occupiers are forced to flee. We are working after them with mortars, anti-aircraft guns and small arms, since the topography of the area does not allow artillery to work effectively. Now you can estimate the number of enemies that our battalion's fighters faced in battle

Being a Marine Corps Vet, we were always taught camouflage and concealment, but it's amazing how there's nowhere to hide with drones up in the sky!
And think about drones at night with thermal imaging. Literally OP.
A shipping container with solar/power generation could serve as a base for remote drones that could be deployed from a bunker without endangering any soldiers. Camouflaged shipping container releases drones that have been automatically loaded with suitable explosives. They go through a preprogrammed flight path and if movement is detected the controller is alerted to issue a drop. A single controller in a safe bunker can control maybe 4-8 drones easily.
It's the future of war, and I'm personally happy Ukraine is utilizing it better than russians.

The giant explosions you talk about would have left shell craters, none of which are evident in the video.

No, it was no mortars at all. Ive seen the whole video (wich in reality is a serie of 3 videos) and most russians indeed ran away. The terrain is more complicated than it looks in the video. There was 0 mortars in this. It is all grenades, from drones, rifles and hand threw.

I'm thinking "suicide drones," or small flying explosives that can be directed straight at the enemy could be extremely effective. They would be unavoidable. Drones dropping munitions is effective, but getting it right there where it hurts would be better.

It was a little frustrating watching the Russian flee and get away. I was hoping for a well placed artillery round or a few good mortars to take out the whole squad. You don't want them coming back to haunt you later.
This is a really poorly edited version of a 5 part video series on the taking of this "cyclops trench system". Lookup the proper videos here on yt. From memory those running Russians get picked up by a bmp then that bmp gets nailed by Ukrainian artillery.
