- Ukrainian missiles rain down on a column of Russian tanks in a field.
In the footage, the column of tanks is seen rolling along a country lane in a field as missiles rain down around them.
Russian soldiers apparently abandon their armoured vehicles and run for cover in the nearby trees as the Ukrainian forces continue to blitz the surrounding area.
The Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on 1st June: “Destruction of the occupier’s column from a bird's eye view.”
The Ukrainian military did not state where or when the attack took place.
Russian troops invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 98th day of the campaign.

I absolutely agree with you, Roman : peace, love and freedom are principles that shall prevail
Everyone in Russia has enough land to live on, no need to grab land from neighbor.
I agree, I’m sorry that you live in a country that has an oppressive dictatorship, if only Russia was a peaceful democracy

as an old artillery officer, I can with 100% security, this was a arocket barrage. Artilery doesnt spread their fire this much, we "fork" them in and the 3rd shot is a direct hit (this does not comply on laser guided missiles of course)
Yeah, was thinking same thing. Probably one of the Grad variants.
whole video is miss leading as it has been filmed on longer period time as some tanks has clearly burned down and you can not see any of them burning, so no one really know what killed those tanks, it is just propaganda.
@@freezedeve3119 Watch the topic, please
I'm an old artillery officer too and I can tell you, with old howitzers from Soviet Union it might need up to 7 shots to "fork" them. I think, it was shots by a "Grad" what we have seen

Ukrainian, Iraqi, Afghan civilians all suffered horrendous atrocities from Super powers
@@zakjuly6721 I remember you getting defeated in Afghanistan. How many did your country kill there?
@@zakjuly6721 Indeed. But that doesn't make it quite equal. At least Americans went to Iraq to remove a terrible regime, torturing and raping its citizens. Afghan's Taliban was not much better. But why did Putin come to Ukraine - only to enlarge Russia's empire and add territory. Attrocities are attrocities - but some were committed when something worthwhile was attempted. And some during pure robery.
uhhh they are used to it . that land saw much worse craters in the past
if it was the us and they missed the first time, the FDC would have them redirect their fire mission to the proper grid coordinates to blast them to hell.. they do not need rocket artillery they cant aim it.
Judging by the number of craters, and the lack of destroyed tanks, I'd say that is a complete waste of firepower.
Agreed ! Modern warfare NOT ! More like ww1.
Yup. It's like the FO said "They're over there.....somewhere. Just fire for effect".

This is tube artillery being fired from miles away while drone operators observe and give target adjustments to the gun commanders. This is NOT an inaccurate artillery barrage. People are used to videos of guided munitions. Most of those are individual (very expensive) projectiles being guided by laser right onto a target. That's not how most artillery functions. The range of accuracy when firing Howitzers from far away has some give and take. They were on these guys and destroyed this column.
This is not a tube artillery
@@BERNARD7269 You can tell its an artillery system because of the scattered test shot. The artillery system creates a geometric & thermal snapshot which is used as a guideline for the next attacks. The system analyses the snapshot and provides a real-time response for the next attacks. Very cost effective and can be operated solely by one person.
@@BERNARD7269 I'm wondering what computer game they got this from? It's already happened with the helicopters from Arma 3 - and the Sun reported on that.
And having just checked the Arma 3 website, they are doing a charity bundle to raise funds for Ukraine. Hmmm. Believe what you want
@@BERNARD7269 definitely tube artillery.
There's also GPS guided artillery shells which can correct their path in flight to get crazy high accuracy

They’re still a great vehicle to have. Russia just has terrible communication and tactics.
Not true, but the way the russians are using their tanks atleast from what has been mostly shown so far can only be called ineffective.
I mean they are sending in their tanks a lot of times without infantry support and without air superiority that just calls for them to be bombed or shot down by some troops hiding in the woods.

Ukraine needs better accuracy to save waste of shells/ammo. Targeting needs improvement.
Most of the ones that missed were GRAD systems, these aren't accurate anyway, these are ones that are meant for an entire area, not one specific location, the more accurate ones would have been the artillery
They can only hit them with whatever they have available. When they have guided missiles they are using them well and much of their artillery use has been of the highest standard. If they ony have crude mortars etc at their disposal then of course their accuracy is going to be compromised. They seem to be doing pretty well whatever way you look at it with Russian losses being extremely high.
Sid J ... Yeah plenty of pot holed fields but not much damage to the Russians, open targets but unfortunately the Ukraine missiles are hitting everywhere but the target. Lots of wasted ammo sadly.

Can you imagine if Ukraine had several A-10's and several Apache Helicopters. They would have wiped these tanks out in the matter of a couple of minutes. When this is all over, the US should sell Ukraine our older F-15 and F-16 and Apache's that are sitting out in the desert and could be made useful. That will keep the next Russian leader from thinking twice about going back into Ukraine.

There's another one I heard from my dad, who was a tank gunner in WWII: "God's on the side with the most artillery."
True many years ago but not with modern technology and modern weapons and training.
What you saw there was a well-coordinated "Carpet bombing"don't forget that shrapnel even from those shells that missed is still lethal to personnel, that's typical bombing from howitzers probably American and miles away, clearly, the drone was giving them updated coordinates.

I'm a layman in the military subject, but I observe that modern warfare has not given the armored a chance as it once did. Even unguided artillery has the possibility to correct the shots, and do a lot of damage. If there were infantry next to the tanks, there would be many casualties to the enemy, since a bomb produces a destructive effect in a considerable radius.
morden tanks are effective egains low tech/trainning army to be faire a tank is just a moving coffin since drone and guided ammo stated to apear some systeme can protect a tank to some extent but the russian mostly sent somme old gera with no era no thermal /nvg etc so you can have 100 soldier but if none of them can see it's over
This was true in WW2. Most armoured attacks in WW2 resulted in many destroyed tanks.
It doesn't mean you don't need tanks. It means that artillery is still the most important component of land warfare, as it has been since 1914.
The only reason it's not as important for the US is that they go one better and establish aur superiority, something the Russians don't have the training, doctrine or capability of achieving.
