Hello Friends, beautiful star stitch. Most baby blankets are 36 to 40 inches (36 x 36, 40x40, etc.) Your starting chain will depend on the weight of yarn and size you desire. Ex. Aprox 120 chains for weight 3 (Baby yarn). The pattern calls for an even number + 1 (so I'm going to try chaining 121, size 4mm hook, and baby yarn). Use hook recommended on your yarn label. Gook luck!🎉❤

This is a great design - I was really struggling with this one pattern I'd gotten and had been working with for over a year (couldn't figure out why it wasn't working!! oh well...), and wanted something nice and simple that I could focus on... this worked perfectly!! Not only is it pleasing to look at, it's also easy to work up, and is so fluffy and soft! Thank you for sharing this :D

So we were making 6 loops to form a star, but on its third loop, I wonder why we have to go through the back stitch and not the front? It's a bit tight and difficult to push the hook in. Will it matter if I take the front instead?

How do i know what to chain?it said “ch ****” at start of tutorial but ive not seen anything else to help me determine what to chain to make a blanket size. The video itself for the stitch was easy but cant do it without knowing how many to chain

probably 3-4 skeins. The size hook needed will be listed on the back of the yarn. (:
