I recently had a dispute about indo-arian languages. In russia we have a region called Osetia (Alania) in Caucasus mountains. So they have a semi-isolated indo-arian family language. My take was that their language has persian ancestry because these Osetins (Alans) were part of Persian Empire. My opponent said opposite: they were not a part of Persian Empire and their language does not have a persian roots. Do you have any knowledge about that? Probably you know more about the spreading of persian language and Persian Empire 😮
@@melissaitr Probably in the past, when the Persian Empire existed, Ossetia was a military checkpoint on the border of the Empire in BC? And then the Persian Empire ceased to exist, and people remained to live in Ossetia? 🤔🤔
You from Palestina?
It's easy to be a polyglot. Just learn Russian, and you will immediately become proficient with Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, Albanian.
@@melissaitrTočno. Posebno albansky za to radčej vse ostaly razumety budeš😂
Albanian is not Slavic...
@@HeroManNick132 The point is how easy it is to learn these languages once you know russian. It's not a matter of being a slavic language. They have the same grammar and a whole lote of common words. Just because they use latin doesn't make the language less comprehensible. In fact, if you are to write polish words in russian, their words stop looking like a hissing gibberish.
@@user-ez8le1rp3x Sure, but the only connection of Albanian to Slavic languages is only the fact is Indo-European and some words are somewhat similar but overall it's not at all close.
I mean there are Slavic languages as well that don't use Cyrillic like Polish, Czech, Slovak, Upper Sorbian, Lower Sorbian, Kashubian, Siliesian, Croatian and Slovenian and some that use both officially like Serbian, Montenegrin and partually Bosnian. And some have co-official Latin alphabet like Belarusian and Macedonian and I hear Ukrainian is trying to switch also to that but who knows when.
And of course many Non Slavic languages that use Cyrillic like Kazakh, Mongolian and more.
meanwhile you mention bosnia, but never bosnian language. lame. educate more
hey, thanks for the comment. Yes, sorry i missed it, im tryna learn as well but yet im not perfect, sorry about that(
Bosnian is an ethnolect of the Serbo-Croatian language. 🤨🤨
