I love mine...setup it up with some led headlights from Amazon, tow hitch, and foamed the tires. Mine is the 48" which is a perfect size for small lawns. It has the ZT-2800 residential hydros like so many other residential grade mowers. The suspension is worth it's weight in gold....cuts great and mows quick....nice review
I just bought one of these with the 48" deck and 21.5 Kawasaki engine. I absolutely love it ! It is much better than the Ariens , Toro, John Deere, Husqvarna, ExMark.or Gravely. Excellent review and spot on.
I bought this machine last March and used it in my lawn business this past season it was a great machine I put 108 hours on it. I also bought all the options for it the bagging system the mulching kit LED light kit and the striping kit and a bunch of mulching blades. I ordered it with the Kawasaki 21.5 HP. But it is up for sale right now because I bought a IS700 model. I just needed something more commercial grade but I cannot say anything bad about the 400s you will like it for what you need it for
My father in law has this machine but with the 21hp Kawasaki engine. It’s a solid little machine for a $4,000 price point. Myself personally, I have the Ferris 3200z and it’s built like a tank. Ferris makes some really nice products!
i love mine but you cant grease the front hubs cuts great. and when my old lady mows the fuel gauge is a joke. when it stops running she comes tells me its out of gas and most of the time she is way on the back of my land. the last time she ran it out of gas i made her carry the gas about 600 yards. i thought that would teach her to look at the gauge but NOPE i had to take more gas to her. but at least this time i could take it to her in my truck or she would have carried it again.

Thanks for the review! I'm currently in the market for a zero turn and the Ferris 400S is one of the top options right now.

I am looking at this mower and my dealer said that they updated the front wheel to be larger.
Looking at a used 400s. I don’t see a follow up review. Do you still have it? How reliable is it?
How much did you end up getting this for?
🤭🤔 here's my review but I haven't used it. Maybe use it then let us know . There are plenty of dealer walk around videos
Correct me if I'm wrong....but I do believe I refer to the this video as an " first impression" review Mr "Guy"! Good luck!
