My brother and I played pre release and just redownloaded Grounded to try it out again! It was worth it as we have already sunk around 12 hours into a new save file!

@@Dog.Dad.Studios how hard is this game to play by yourself? I love ARK, and that game is not too bad by yourself even at base building, but I know you said that Grounded can be grindy
@@eddiehanley4258 it wasn’t that hard, but there were moments where I googled where to find stuff and it was legitimately 20 minutes away in game, it’s all doable, but it’ll take time. I have not played ARK so I can’t compare unfortunately
@@eddiehanley4258I have like 350hrs in grounded over around 4+ playthroughs at varying levels of release. The grindiest portions are weapon upgrades (past lvl 7) and base building (which is vastly improved with recycling now giving 100% of items back and being able to move after placing). The OP mentioned having to look up something for story progression, but I am unsure what they needed to as there are markers for what burgl tells you to collect. If you are new player, do not play on woah. It's not a typical hard mode, it's just ridiculously hard early game and will make you think the game is unbeatable and even mid to late game you will die a lot to basic bugs. Easy is way too easy too. Medium is where you want to play, good balance between difficulty and enjoyability. If you don't care about achievements/trophies you can do custom and turn off/on whatever aspects of the game you want. I really like the game. Color pallet and art, base building is extremely fluid, combat is decent, but made better because of bug weaknesses, and some of the bosses can be fairly difficult.
@@Dog.Dad.Studiosregular broodmother I feel was super good design, but becomes extremely easy after you really get the spider attacks down. Mantis is pretty good, except for the unlockable debuff scream. Wasp queen is annoying and poorly designed. Flying bugs in this game already aren't that great, but adding a heal effect is just dumb. Infected broodmother will really test your skill, and build.
