I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 that doesn't like to start up first turn of the key, but it always does on the second turn. Also, I was driving home on night and the engine just shut off. All the electrical stayed on but there was no engine. Just before it shut off, at a turn the truck didn't have any throttle response for a little bit. It gain it back tho in a big jerk. If you could help me, that would be great. I do plan on taking it in to have a professional look at it tho.
You forgot to mention the hose that is labeled "NOT REPAIRABLE" at the top back of the tank. It just pulls off and has no clamps, but was a surprise. Had I not been paying attention, I would have been paying BIG BUCKS to replace this.
what size is the fuel line on these? I'm working on putting this engine in my 87 ramcharger and need to make sure I have the right size line to provide enough fuel
when my truck cranks and shuts off , When my dad puts gas in the coberater it will run till it runs out. Do you think it is the fuel pump or a fuse? Maybe a fuel sensor? I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 motor.
You could check the VIN online, it may tell you the tank size or contact your dealer with the VIN to see if they can tell you what tank size the truck has.
VIN - vehicle Identification number. Every vehicle produced is assigned a unique serial number, the VIN. The VIN identifies the car as to what year, make, model, country of origin, it allows a dealer to determine what options were on the car at time of assembly. Options like how many gallon tank it has.
Shawn Jerome, it would be nice, but at times, rather boring, as the flat rate time for this job is 1.8 hours without draining or cleaning the fuel tank. Our goal is to show the primary steps of the installation. I do hope the video was a help.
Informative, but lacking detail, real life perspective -the mechanic does NOT have the overhead view of the top of the tank the camera shows - and potential issues -everything doesn't happen seamlessly like when fittings and connectors are loosened before hand.
That’s how you do it! No cutting corners! That’s greatness bruh 👍🏽💪🏾💪🏾
My hats off to you for your one of the few that cleans before removing the module.... very important. also the tank.
Thank you. Do the job right the first time and reduce the chance of the dreaded come-back repair.
and wearing gloves :)

What size is the tank on a 1998 ram 1500 318 (5.2L)
Is it possible to have a fuel pump in the tank and one mounted by the filter canister on a 2gen Cummins?
Are you saying that the best maintenance option is to take it to a dealership?
Hello if you have this fuel pump in the tank that means that you dont have the other lift pump next to the filter canister???
No, This truck is a gasoline engine. It only has the one pump in the tank.
Clean the tank with water?? how do you dry it out??
MrJoseph1157 Air
Can you replace the pump in a 2001 Dodge 1500 just the pump
Can you replace just the pump in a 2001 Dodge 1500
Is it easier to remove the bed of the truck or remove the tank like in the video??
remove the tank, that way you can wash it.
@@OneLeggedTarantula That was what I was thinking, the tank's got to come out anyway
Does the 99 dodge ram 1500 v6 not require a fuel filter change?
The fuel pump module E7138M does have a filter in at the pick up point.

Hi, could you tell me the difference from the dakota fuel pump, from 22 gl to 24 gl?
There are too many differences to tell. There are more differences than similarities.
I need to change my dakota, how do I know which one is correct?

We all know you can't change one in four minutes and 27 seconds so I wish that it showed it in real time and every step
