I stopped using the pitch shifting pretty much all together because even though it sounds cool, it’s just too recognizable as a pedal. I’m not sure that’s a great thing or not. It just feels strange now when I hear it. That’s ok because it’s still straight up one of the best delays ever. This and the echo system (totally different beast for sooooo many reasons) are my favorite delays. Recently I’ve replaced the thermae on my board with the demedash t120 delux. I seem to have a knack for showing up late to a party but this is the best demo of the Thermae on the internet, in my humble opinion (I would argue it's even more meaningful than the almighty Knob's effort; blasphemy, I know).

AwakeFM There’s no Time knob on the Therma. But the rest of the features make up for it. I’ve also got a a Tonal Recall and it’s a beautiful delay. The modulation on the Thermae is amazing though! Very different than the TR. good luck in your delay search :)

I just think they're really different pedals. The Polymoon is awesome at getting pad sounds (that's what I use it for at least). I just meant they're both awesome pedals and it would be a hard choice to make.

Anyone else have issue with switching Modulation on and off? Seems like it get's stuck and starts modulating different interval pitches. Sometime I can't even turn in on or off. And I have yet to get external tap to do anything but create oscillation feedback locked to the tempo.
Really really nice video. I do have a question though. Is there any way for me to sync up the sequences with my playing? Due to the fact that the sequences are not envelope triggered (I believe) the sequence does not start when I start to play. Additionally there is no indicator for how far I am into the sequence thus making it nearly impossible for me to know when to start playing. Is it possible to hook it up to another pedal (something like a midi clock or some sort of midi controller) that triggers the sequence only when there is audio input?

For anyone asking the same question, if you don’t think you’ll use the pitch shifting feature (which is not always the easiest to integrate into a song); the blue-knob Tonal Recall is all you need. If you don’t need the dip switches / modulation possibilities of Chase Bliss pedals, there are a lot of other great analog delay options (DM2, Carbon Copy, Memory Boy, Aqua Puss...)
@aBunchOfPedals Got them both. Though I prefer the things I can do with habit it gets a bit lost in a band environment. The thermae on the other hand, sounds amazing, even with a drummer banging like there is no tomorrow and a bass player with an amp cranked up at 11. Both keepers.
@aBunchOfPedals I agree they do make great stuff. Having said that I still prefer my cooper fx Gen loss v1 to the chase bliss versions or the Gen loss card in the arcades.

George Marial It really depends how long your delay time is and where the filter is set. Longer delay times and less filtering will get noisy. I think it sounds perfect with the filter rolled back to like 9 or 10 o’clock.
That's more of a personal preference. The longer delay times will have more noise, the filter can get rid of some but that's just the nature of analog delay. I still think it's cool but some might not.
Yea it seems like they’re really hard to get and honestly, $600 isn’t worth it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an amazing pedal and I’ll never get rid of mine. A great alternative is the Demedash Effects t-120 (regular or deluxe version). It’s got solid delay and the modulation is amazing. Also king of pricey and it doesn’t come with all the fancy bells and whistles. Or if you want a really cool (this might be my favorite pedal of all time). The Homenoise Effects Black Lodge delay/reverb combo is AMAZING.

Oh now you're speaking my language! I love BoC so you definitely hear soem influence in there. First of all, I'm really happy you found this video helpful. The Thermae is a wild pedal (if you want it to be) but it also has some of the coolest modulation I've heard in a delay. Honestly, if I had to pick one pedal to get that BoC vibe, it would be the Zvex Instant Lo-Fi Junky. It's got great modulation and compression. That would be my go to pedal for that stuff. That being said, you have a TON more options with the Thermae (obviously). Check out my video on the Infinite Jets, it's a weird one :)

Think of it as a pedal you don’t stomp on. Beyond that, they are as well made as any pedal I have ever owned...if stomping is your jam. I keep some on the floor, and for some, the hand is quicker than the stomp.
MCHiphopotamus lol, you felt that deep in your soul. I think it’s just the delay chips. It’s hard to get analog delay to sound super clear with massive delay times. This does get noisy... personally, I don’t mind, I thinking works perfectly for what I’m after. If I want prestige delay I’ll go either with the Echosystem or the Polymoon if I want something weird. What delays are you rocking?

Nah, only the repeats are shifted. If you want a cool pitch shifter check out the EHX Hog2. Pretty cool, giant ass effect pedal.

Never had that issue (or heard of it). Have you tried contacting CBA directly? They have great customer service.

I’ve never tried the Habit. The Thermae is a solid analog delay and I use it all the time.

MCHiphopotamus lol, you felt that deep in your soul. I think it’s just the delay chips. It’s hard to get analog delay to sound super clear with massive delay times. This does get noisy... personally, I don’t mind, I thinking works perfectly for what I’m after. If I want prestige delay I’ll go either with the Echosystem or the Polymoon if I want something weird. What delays are you rocking?
