- I purchased this vintage dresser at a thrift store for $20 and wanted to flip this furniture for a good profit. Check out what I did to get this piece sold within a few days for $50/hr profit just from flipping furniture.

Nice return there for your work. Well done Shabby. Good to see ya lad.
Love watching you do what you do....everything old is new again.😊
I really like this type of finish
That's quite the outfit!
Nice job on the dresser.
Wow. Great attention to detail. I love the way you show all the steps and products used along with the necessary precautions when exposed to the products. Excellent work all around! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!
Beautiful restoration, my mother who lived in Orange County, CA had a dresser just like this. She passed in 2010, it reminded me of her. Your work is outstanding.
Thanks for sharing!
The stained parts on this piece look really nice, and I normally prefer a painted piece. Great job as always. Not gonna lie, playing with the video playback speed. Not sure which is funnier, you in 2x or slowed down to .75! 😂😅😂
He got a haircut!!! Lol. Beautiful work.
😊 thank you
Looks great!! Love the dark and white look!!
Beautiful job! I love the two tone wood and paint look. ❤️
Even in my economically depressed area, I think you should have charged more for this lovely piece!

Not bad for a day's work 👍I really like that stain with the light paint. Lovely Also, I'd much rather the dust than the spider eggs!!

Nice! I love your straight to the point style of videos.
Thank you! I try my best to keep it short and sweet but still show enough that a lot of the process can still be seen.

Hi Gail. Good to hear from you again. :)
That turned out beautifully. Is the wood maple? Good way to upcycle old beautiful furniture ;)
Yep! Maple! Thanks for commenting!
Great👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊👍👍
Thanks 🤗
Enjoyed watching. Is wood conditioner required? I did my dresser and had splotches everywhere.
Preciosa 😍
Hey I'm just starting my furniture flipping journey and I am also trying to just do wood pieces and what I constantly run into are dressers with drawer problems almost 90% of the time whether it's broken tracks or they are just too loose or tight. I avoid these a lot of the times. Could you do a vid or segment on what you do with these problems? Or do you avoid these also?
Do you think you could use a water-based stain for the wash
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
XI like the wash idea with the stain do you have to use an oil base stain to get the same look or would’ve water-based stain work thank you
I've never tried.
👍♥️😊
What kind of spray tip are you using? You have way too much over spray I’d suggest a FFLP 210 or 310 fine finish spray tip or invest in a hvlp gravity gun
313 tip. Anything smaller in diameter causes water based poly to spit. Smaller fan size just means I have to make more passes. The Magnum series has always had a lot of overspray. The Graco TrueCoat too.
😲😇
Can you pleassseee do something with Unicorn Spit??
I'll look into it!
@@ThatShabbyGuy I think you'll dig it.
How do you clean the sprayer and dispose of your waste? I've got the same one and was running half a container of mineral spirits through it after using anything oil based, but then always have that same amount of waste that needs to be dealt with.
I only use water based products in my Graco for this very reason. All I have to dispose of is paint water. Whatever I clean from the machine goes into an empty paint bucket. I'll reuse those full buckets for awhile as stands to set my furniture on while working. When I need to get rid of them, my county has a place that household chemicals/paints can be taken to as long as you are a resident of the county. With mineral spirits, I think the best way is to recycle them by letting them sit. You can pour off the clear spirits and reuse them and only have to dispose of the stuff at the bottom. Might check into that.
@@ThatShabbyGuy Awesome, thank you. I'm not sure why the simple solution of using only water based products never crossed my mind.
Honestly they're easier to clean up. Dry faster. Tend to be less toxic. And are comparable in durabilty. Might have to make the switch! Good luck!
I've been doing this for about 11 years now. I use chalk paint on most of my projects. Do you ever go to the Round Top Antique Show?
I always say I'm going to go but always forget. I might have to plan something for the spring one. Is that the busiest time to go, do you know?
Nice worth more money charge more next time
