  • Our Water Monitor is growing, so lets upgrade its cage now! The original cage was big but now we are making it even bigger. Wow, that's huge! I'll show you how this old cage turns into the massive Asian Water Monitor enclosure at the end! This enclosure build was long and difficult at times but we managed to pull it altogether. The original cage was 6' L x 4' D x 6' H and by the end of this video it will be 8' L x 6' D x 6' H!
Asian Water Monitors grow at a fast rate and grow to a large sizes, so large enclosures are required for Water Monitors to be happy. Asian Water Monitors are also very active, they like to explore their cages, climb, and swim. So everything about this cage needed to get bigger basking areas, ledges, cave and most of all the water bin was replaced with a full-on pond!
Thank you to all the people who helped and made this build possible!
    Enjoy!

What is the black stuff on the ramps? Looks super helpful in climbing! Also if you don't mind me asking what kind of brackets are those? Thanks!

Was size is this enclosure? Will the enclosure be able to house it when it’s full grown considering it can 7-8ft?

True! I agree it does look better but I can't build enclosures outside in Canada. So not a fair comparison space wise.

Your heart mite be in it, but I'm not a fan of anyone keeping reptiles in captive settings no matter what your care level mite be. Laws need too be passed too prevent anyone from owning reptiles unless your a zoo. Most of these big monitors are very dangerous and regardless of your experience with them thay shouldn't be owned, the belong in nature in there natural lands. We will get reptiles banned from stores and private breeding farms.

I will debate you. Why do you feel this way? Are you vegan? Are there any other reasons other than they are meant to be wild?
