Andrew's Reptile Ark
Canada
Приєднався 27 лис 2020
This is a channel to help educate viewers on animals, from small to large we do it all! We do focus on reptiles mainly but we cover all different kinds of animals! By sharing information on all aspects of reptile keeping. We would also love to learn from other reptile experts to share their knowledge about keeping reptiles as pets.
Our focus is on animal conservation and education, so that everyone can learn a thing or two and possibly get involved with these wonderful creatures.
We provide all the details and the necessities of how to care for reptiles indoors and outdoors. We are located in an area where keeping reptiles outside isn’t an option, so they must be kept inside but still provided with the same environment they would experience outdoors. Keeping larger reptiles indoors requires a large amount of space. Not all of our viewers have the space to accommodate them so we would like to show what it is like to have them in your home!

Checking on Our Asian Water Monitor Cage!
My eggs have hatched but one hasnt moved yet and its almost been a full day and the other one has been in the egg with its head sticking out and hasnt moved yet either. Im so worried and i dont know if they are dead. I cant find any forums for water dragons. Do you have any tips or any words of wisdom?
Hi first time seeing your chanel caiman lizard are my dream pet
I recently separated my red eared sliders because one was trying to kill the other. If I had a set up like this, would I be able to reunite them so they’re not lonely and bored?
Where did you get that rack at?
Is that your son and wife?
These were my intro to reptiles. I still love royal pythons.💜
Dun da dun daaaa dun da daaaa
not sure if youvd thought to try on the floor the "dry stone bath mat" kind of dudes. theyre like a diatamaceous earth mix and people have coasters for sweaty glasses or bath mats for showers. idk about how long it would last since ive never seen it in this application but could be worth a try as a base layer under the eco earth or coconut husk substrate. perhaps more substrate wouldn't hurt either. looks good
nice vid
Best lizard I’ve ever owned, mine was exactly like yours
Do you even realise they don’t even need that much humidity 🤣 I’ve had eastern water dragons in my back yard every day all year long they don’t need that crap
My female Australian Water Dragon spazzed at first and jumped into a light fixture repeatedly, losing some teeth. But then she eventually calmed down. Now she will eat out of my hand and sometimes I can gently nudge her under the chin. I don't really hold her but I have cats in my house so that is part of why I haven't tried. I find her easy to care for. The set up is a pain, but the nice thing is they always go to the bathroom in the water container. So you just clean that every week or two and the rest of the enclosure stays pretty clean. Overall except for the start it has been low maintenance.
How did you guys do its enclosure
I hope you have water resistant treated that plywood. Otherwise you're gonna see mold and deteriorating
They look stunning! Please do an update video as I have one as well but no matter what I try I just can't tame him.
This is the best video on UA-cam on the subject❤
Thank you so much for watching and the support!
i have 2
Awesome feeding video. One of your best!!!
I'm a agamid keeper but I have been thinking of getting a caiman lizard,
My Sarpie is the same way with my tortoises she always checks on them and loves hanging out with them :)
Why glass you giving video yet can't look after your glass rubs off faces .
Omg pebbles almost looks like my gal Bestie! 😍🥹 love it
How much do they sell for
I'm a lizard guy but good video.
great info, tegus are the best!
Does anyone know how expensive the upkeep is for a caiman lizard, monthly?
@@holdenbaloun5257 we have one! Expensive because of the filtration. if you wanna go out, check out our other videos on Caiman lizards!
What gloves are you using
Can they handle if they power goes out?
depends how long the power is out for and how cold your house is
@@andrewsreptileark A week. I'm lucky my water turtle was fine.
If I buy that red brick from Home Depot… do I need to desinfect it before I put it in the tank?
yes
I seen them before, my brother has one
Dimond?! Get that idea from Wickens Wicked Reptiles 😂
Pure coincidence! We like the name because of her white colour similar to a diamond!
Those are awsome beardies
There top shells are not supposed to be bumpy. And actually turtles tolerate being held but they actually don't like it..
Awesome video! Got my little guy mid August, miss him already now that he's in brumation 😞
Can't they dig under the boards and escape?? I'd love to do something like this but I'd think it needs to be buried pretty deep??? Is this correct??
trench was dug and wire mesh is placed under neath
I def do not miss having to handle these type of lizards lol I would rather groom an aggressive ass dog any day than to try to handle a fast aggressive ass lizard lol
They’re only aggressive if treated poorly
I love lizards
This is awesome af bro 🙌 👌 👏 💯 💪🏼 😎
Thank you so much! Check out our other video where we swim with our Caiman!
That’s amazing! I’ve always wanted to do something like that! I Love Turtles!
Get one man❤❤❤❤
Hii
After owning and keeping Chinese water dragons for over 7 years I finally got a chance to get an Australian water dragon. She’s a baby captive breed and I get her next week super excited I’ve always wanted one. Great video👍
Our backyard buddy- water dragon loves bananas very much. Is that a good food for them?
Do tortoises overeat the way dogs and cats do?
I'm actually here because of a creepypasta on CreepsMcPasta's channel titled "A customer sneezed in my face". The author of the story spends a good ten or fifteen minutes describing what life is like with a pet tortoise and it made me laugh so hard I wanted to see them eat in real life. The author said watching them eat is like watching a car wreck 😂😂 Thank you for this video!
It gets 4 to 5 feet tops and is from Anaconda land, not an Apex nothing.
Puting the egg box inside the nursery and THEN opening the lid so he can calmly come out would be a much better idea 💡😅 very cute though. Thanks for sharing ☺️
