    One of the best videos, addressing hamstring tightness I’ve ever seen, and I have seen hundreds over the years

    I came across your channel recently and I find the information and knowledge you give is right on point. I've even added some of your advice to my routine. My problematic body parts are improving. Thank you!

    I've resisted doing these strategies because they seem so boring, but FINALLY, after little success in just continuing strengthening and foam rolling my hammies, I sat down and actually did exactly what you suggest, and feeling so stupid for not following this routine before!!
    It's already helping with just the awareness that my low back is tight
    The trick for me was to lie back while using the foam roller on my lower back, rather than just rolling up and down. That's where the tightness could be felt. Thanks
    Onto your calf tightness video

      Great to hear the video eventually helped in the end mate! Definitely not the sexiest exercises and things to try, but most dysfunction is a bout nailing the basics, not necessarily the fancy stuff!

    One of the best videos I found for hamstrings straching.

    I think my lower back is more messed up than I ever imagined. Going to continue working on my lower abs and rolling my hips back to take some of the strain off of my si joint and hopefully getting my hip flexors and hamstrings opened up. So much work to undo. Years of ignoring pain and brushing it off as age.

      I hear you. The great thing about the body is it always adapts in the direction we knowingly or unknowingly ask it to. It just takes a little care each day to turn the ship around!

    Needed this video - thank you. Do you have any advice/recomendations for the best types of office chair, sit/stand desk that would help keep the lower back to help with the posture part of this video?

    • @YourWellnessNerd
      @YourWellnessNerd  2 місяці тому

      Usually any chair works, but knowing what your best posture feels like can help you understand where you need to be first, and then what you might need to add/adjust with your chair/desk to better support that shape.

    Is there any alternative to plank and side plank you'd recommend? Those are really hard for me as someone with migraines because they force a lot of blood to my brain and they also are just so uncomfortable for me and I can't hold them for more than a few seconds.

    • @YourWellnessNerd

      Hope you’ve since figured it out. Exercises like fit ball rollouts are less horizontal, and something like a pallof press can also be a vertical option

      @YourWellnessNerd haha no, I never did figure it out but these are good to know! Hopefully I can figure out what these are. :)

    Wait so all this time the tightness behind my knee is not my hamstrings??? I do have a history of many low back strains.

    • @YourWellnessNerd
      @YourWellnessNerd  6 місяців тому +1

      Could be mate! If you can free up the back and it eases then you might have your answer!
