I cannot find words to express how much I love this sequence. My hamstrings are terrible and even though I've made progress since I started going to yoga classes, there is still much to do. This sequence is brilliant, but the last stretch with wide legs is impossible for me - I have my hands behind me, sitting straight and I still feel a looot of stretch in my legs. Right now leaning forward seems like an impossible task, but I'm determined to do this routine at least twice a week amd we'll see if I'll be able to make any progress. Thank you!!
I was very flexible in my youth and into my 40's did a lot of yoga. Life happened and I fell away from the practice. After long-Covid and some years of inactivity I lost all flexibility. I was almost convinced that at 60 I'd never be flexible again. I've been conscientiously stretching for 5 years without much improvement, just thought I'd keep what I had. I've tried several UA-cam channels for flexibility with very little improvement. Now, after trying this video for 2 weeks, I can (after I'm warmed up) touch my toes and get my forehead to about 6 inches from my knee! For those who wonder about this channel and if it can help with aging stiffness, give it a try! I'm hooked!
Liv, I’ve been using this since you posted it, around 5x per week. I’m able to touch my toes now, and I’ve never been able to do that before in my life. THANK YOU for all you do!
When I watch your videos it's like watching a Disney princess, except singing to squirrels and birds you're showing me how to make my body not hurt when I stand up
I'm 68. This sequence works - at least for me. I maybe wasn't that tight - I do do yoga- but I can now put my palms under my feet with straight knees..... go for it!
today is day 30 of me doing this , great results , on day 1 i was touching portion just little below my knees on day 30 i was able to hold the sole of foot Thanks
Liv, I've been doing your classes for some months now. Before, I thought that yoga was really not my thing but how wrong could I have been!!! I have totally come to love it, gained more strength, balance and mobility. Today I was surprised to find that I could lay down my upper body on my stretched out feet with ease - such a good feeling! ♥ You make the classes fun, doable and your explanations, hints and modifications are just top notch! Thank you so much for what you've down for me so far!
I’m 19 with REALLLYY tight hammies and hips, just finished this for the first time I’ll come back in a month and see if I have made progress (will be doing x3-4 per week!)
Just did this for the first time and thought pessimistically that I should at least check afterwards - i could actually touch my toes for the first time in my life!
Thank you so much! I am really struggling with hamstring and lower back flexibility! This workout is amazing and felt achievable! Will rinse and repeat and reach my toes eventually 😊
Beginner hammies stretch! Yes, all stretches look easy and yes, they are easy to do! But, the next day I felt pain and ache in places where I'd never felt pain or ache before; little had I known of proper stretching before that video;) thank you Liv! That's brilliant
I followed these instructions once and was able to forward fold for the first time completely with straight legs, including hugging my arms around the legs and touching the forehead to the shins. I didn't expect that to happen before 2025. Thank you! ❤
Long time fan here! Loved this video I can even feel it in my glutes. I have endometriosis and this seems to help soothe my back pain. These long follow alongs are the best. Thanks for everything ❤
That was really cool! The flossing and preparing and active stretching were really helpful. Are you planning something like that for back bends and also shoulder/chest mobility, I’d watch ir right away. You are amazing and I just love your humorous friendly attitude towards yoga and being kind to the body. Hugs from Germany!
This was brilliant. I was followinf another video for ten mins when this one popped up ! And im so glad it did... cos this was brilliant. I do yoga and pilates..and my biggest problem is that my body freqently tightens up. So despite being agile one day im unable to do the same 4 days later. So thank you so much. Im going to try and do this atleast 3-4 days a week alto aiming for every morning now.
I am 68 and have been practising yoga for some time but always feel tightness in my lower back I am going to try and do some specific stretches for a couple of weeks with you and see if it improves. Thank you
Oh wow! I’ve had incredibly tight hamstrings forever and they are getting worse. I’ve just done this session for the first time, incredibly easy to follow and afterwards I could stretch a couple of inches lower than before, plus I feel really relaxed and less achy. Thank you so much, I have high hopes for quick results!
Liv, thanks for the videos. This one is especially helpful for me as my hamstrings are so tight. Your 21-day challenge got me in a good position to start this one 3x per week!
Hello from the USA. I’ve been watching some of your stretching videos realize that I’m doing much of the same techniques already, but learning to take them to whole new level. You’re in incredible health, limber as a cat, a great communicator, teacher, and quite easy on the eyes too! Thank you for sharing and inspiring us.
Im the tightest person I’ve ever met, essentially in the lower back and the hamstring area. Will start this routine and keep you posted about progress. Love your videos overall , but maybe you can do voice overs in the routines? I thought I was watching x2 speed 😅 thank you 🙏
I get cramps in my feet doing yoga .... the best correlation I've found is that the studio (and my feet) are cold. Might be worth exploring the benefit of a warmer room?
@@timgallagher858 thank you for taking the time to respond. I do have cold feet so will try and warm them up before starting as my room is normally quite warm. Just purchased an infrared lamp to trial after doing some research on the health benefit so will see how that goes. Have a lovely day xx
Thanks to the serendipity of the UA-cam algorithm, I discovered your channel, and I'm thrilled to be here. I recently attempted this sequence for the first time and encountered a rather perplexing challenge during the concluding moments. As we reached the part where we pointed the toe and bent forward, I found the experience to be quite demanding, not in terms of the hamstrings, but rather due to the intense tightness in the muscle on the top of my foot area. It became unbearable, prompting me to exit the pose prematurely. I'm eager to enhance my practice and overcome this hurdle. Do you have any recommendations or insights on how to address the tightness in the top of the foot during this particular pose? I'd greatly appreciate your guidance!
Amazing as always Liv! I'm in love with Your incredible an unique way to fusion all your knowledge about the body, and then share it, doing it easy for all levels 🙏❤️
Hi there! I've been loving this routine for the past few weeks. Is it possible to do it on sore hamstrings and leg muscles? I try and do the exercises in between workouts. Trying not to tear muscles further since mobility can feel pretty intense on the body. Thanks for your advice!
A beautiful sequence of stretching and mobility Perfect for these holiday days spent at the table with long dinners with friends and relatives. I really enjoyed myself and felt great well-being. 🙏Thank you very much and best wishes for a 🎄 Merry Christmas and a happy holiday for you and all your loved ones.
Can you kindly show something to open/stretch the lower back that I can do while my baby sleeps. My baby needs a LOT of bouncing before she gets to sleep. Thanks. Very helpful videos so far!
It has only been a week.and I did 4x a week and tbh I can see the result.atleast I can touch it. Before practising this stretches i Couldn't touch my toes.
Are you learning to play the piano? I used to learn for a few years. I miss it so much. Also, it was a great routine for the hamstrings. I've been stretching the hips for quite some time and have improved hip extension but not hip flexion.
Hi Liv! Wondering what’s more correct to do when doing the last few stretches (the ones sitting down) - straightened knees + legs but unable to reach the toes (can only reach leg), or knees bent and able to reach the toes? Thank you so much!
I cant wait to do this later! I love everything you do Liv 😍 Although my hamstrings and hips are really sore today, would hou recommend doing this routine anyway or coming back to it tomorrow?
Hi Liv, this felt fantastic. I will certainly be adding this in a few times per week to my schedule. Can i use this instead of the hamstring stretches from your video where you use a strap to stretch the hamstrings, called TRANSFORM Your Flexibility in Just 4 Steps? Thanks 😀
Liv, this is a great video and my go-to prior to running (well, jogging) but can I ask one Q (having watched your other related vid on freeing the nerves around the hamstrings)? Why do you do the final stretches (which are hard btw) with pointed toes AFTER rather than before right angled toes? Thanks again for this and it WORKS! Yet to touch my head on my knees but close...😂
What if one has a 2 inch belly. It can probably take much longer and may be other exercises are needed before achieving the final goal. Any help with this would help. Thanks
When you said I hope you feel calmer in the body I was the opposite of calm I found it being too long and maybe I stretched to much bc it hurted a lot so yeah lol 😂
Same question from me too 😫 I’ve had mine for years and I’ve tried everything. Sitting on a tennis ball gives you short but instant relief (if you haven’t tried that). Hope it goes away soon 🙏🏽🖤
I really struggle, because I feel like my lower Abdo acts as a physical block, because of C section. No matter what I do, the abdomen doesn’t change, and prevents me moving further forward. Do you have any help for women who’ve had lower abdo surgery of any kind, be it c sections, hysterectomies etc, because we have bands of scar tissue and adhesions
I had sciatica before and I desperately wanna be able to be able to do the splits and help relieve my hamstring tightness. Should I accept my fate and never try or is there something I can do

Maybe it is because I'm tall (196 cm), but my flexibility is terrible. I can't even sit Seiza, as I'll just float in the air. It's kind of sad at 25 years old, honestly...
