    Fantastic video. I have chronic left sided pirformis pain and my left hip is getting tighter. My left lower back is painful when using the ball. Just doing it with the video loosened up the area. I will add these exercises to my routine. Thank you.

    I came have to thank you from Brazil. I’ve watched some of your videos and this changed my life. I finally learn how to release my hips and lower back, even tho I’d consulted with several different health professionals and did several exams. I feel an import relief in the pain that accompanied me through almost all my life. I feel I can release tension even my ATM. Now I have to necessary tools to keep getting better, thank you

    I have an artificial hip and am physically active. This hip holds onto inflammation and stiffness. I’m working on these exercises/stretches to see if I can get a degree of improvement. We will see what the hip will let me do! Thank you.

    That’s a lot of really helpful, useful, and actionable guidance and I really appreciate you sharing it! I found, though, that I couldn’t take it all in during one viewing so I’ve got this one saved to come back to a time or two more to apply it all to my situation

    I tried to sit in that position at the beginning of the video and WOW... I can barely even get into that position. Your videos are showing me that I have some serious lack of mobility in my legs and hips... at only 24. Sitting all day has been quite bad for me.

    Back near the end of 22 I contacted a near fatal illness known as sepsis I was lucky but it left me crippled. Its like all the muscle in my legs are ridged I did get physio for 6 weeks which is all I could get but after that nothing. Is what I'm wondering is there anything u could recommend I do which might help free up my muscles because I firmly believe with time I could walk again without the use of crutches?

      That determined attitude is half the battle right there mate! With such a specific case you’d likely need to work with someone directly to give you the direction your body specifically needs. From a general perspective, musculoskeletal dysfunction usually sits upon 4 pillars - somethings tight, somethings weak, it’s poorly positioned/poor posture, there’s a heightened nervous system over the top. Figuring out which of those needs your specific attention and then finding solid strategies to improve them is great general focus.

      Thank you for responding. I have tried to get refered several times but nothing seems to come of it and I can't afford private. I will try stick to my own little exercise routine with gentle stretches and movement and make sure I don't over do it and keep positive and given time I might reach my goal or close. All the best in your journey and good health and prosperity to you and all who watch.

      I wonder if your fascia needs work along with strength building after it releases.

      @@Mykidsaresmarterthanyours I did wonder, I've only just learned fascia and until recently didn't know it was a thing. My legs are extremely stiff it's hard to explain but it's like some sort of packing material in my legs preventing movement. I've been looking at exercises based on that and I suppose time will tell. Thank you. I really want to walk without aids so it's great to hear suggestions even if I'm aware of some. All the best 💖

    If you do feel a sharpness or pinching when you bring the foot out to the side in the hip crease area, at 8:00 what might that mean?

    • @YourWellnessNerd
      @YourWellnessNerd  5 місяців тому +1

      For many that can be a sign of jamming up the hip. If it is then shifting the hip out of as much hip flexion (more toward that 90 degree position) should help people find less punching and more comfortable pressure.

    • @Laura.Kottlowski
      @Laura.Kottlowski 5 місяців тому

      @@YourWellnessNerd ok, thanks! The feeling of a sharpness in the right hip and glute when doing certain movements (bending/folding while weight baring) is what lead me here - As an 'older' professional figure skater I am hoping that it's just tightness in the hip/glute and not overuse in my jump landing leg...

    That was helpful. Maybe ease off on the cross legged position though, it is something most of us with stiff muscles can only ever dream off, and is discouraging to the point of not even trying. I did, with one leg outstretched, and found it useful.
