#5 If Duras or the Duras Sisters had taken power, they would have ripped up the accords there and then.
And joined a alliance with the Romulans against the Federation.

    • @SonicSlicer

Civil War might still have happened, in much the same way that happened on Bajor with The Circle. The Duras Family-led High Council accepting assistance, materials and supplies from the Romulans would essentially be locked in war with Klingons who still have a bone to pick with the Romulans because of the bad blood created by the Khitomer Massacre. It would divide the Empire, or rather, what is left of it after the Romulans take their cut.

I couldn't get past the first part of the pilot of Picard. I loved Star Trek up until Insurrection and Nemesis, (Enterprise had some great characters but was beginning to change the canon) but the worldview that the series now has, (the corruption of Starfleet and how Vulcans are bad) has gone so far away from the Great Bird of the Galaxy's vision that I get outraged in just a few scenes. It's so sad that a series that was all about hope for the future of humanity is now just another dystopia.

In Insurrection you also have to consider that everyone, except Data, is experiencing a reversal of their aging, starting to experience more adolescent traits seen in young adulthood. Worf gets a gorscht (pimple, zit) and experiences another teenage trait a shift to a night owl circadian rhythm (stay up late at night and sleep in late in the morning).

Best comedy character in Trek. His looks during serious dialogues are class. In the TNG episode where the probe erases their memories he is always in the background thinking he will be the leader, his facial expressions are hilarious. Add those too classic lines such as "I am NOT a merry man", "Find him and kill him", "Death to the opposition" and the long list of "Klingon's do not....." which are much more pithy than the rules of acquisition and we have the funniest character in trek.

_Star Trek Online_ has Worf instead return to the Klingon Empire. He becomes Gintok to House Martok, serving Lady Sirella after J'mpok defeats Martok. Instead Data (in B4's body) is mentioned as captaining the _Enterprise-E_ until the ship is lost sometime later. Data does, however, save all hands and return to Earth. He is shown visiting Sela after her story arc. Worf, meanwhile, gets numerous appearances, and the player gets to interact with him many times, over the course of the story missions dealing with the Klingons and the Alliances. He is also prominent if you choose to play as a KDF officer. Worf was, until recently, also the one who voiced narrations and level-ups for KDF officers until recently. Michael Dorn apparently said he did not like how his character was written in some parts of the game, and no longer wants to voice in it. To be fair, Worf is made to make more than a few stupid mistakes, such as leaving Sirella's son, M'ven, alone when he was supposed to be guarding him.

One of the most underrated talents of his generation. Worf's hair in TNG is a Klingon child's haircut, much like his sash was a child's sash until he went through the ritual with the pain sticks. I don't remember at what age a Klingon is supposed to go through that ritual, but Worf went through it many years later than a Klingon who grew up among Klingons would have. So in my head canon, he changed his hairstyle to the adult Klingon hairstyle only after completing the ritual. And it just takes years to go from a bob cut to a long ponytail.
