First timer here. Love your video! Could you please tell me approximately how many skeins of yarn I need for a typical throw blanket? Thank you 😊
Hey I’m not a pro but I’ve made about 5 I use 2 tru 5
This is my first attemp at this. I think I like it. You are a great instuctor which I liked because you went slow enough that I could follow along. My right side looks wonky, but I hope with practice this will improve. At least I hope. Thanks again..
It sounds like you are well on your way! Keep practicing and you will get better and better.
Great VDO, very clear explanation, THANK YOU 🙂

Wanted to give up. Thank you for your tutorial. I got it. Whew
Thank you so much I was also confused until I found this video ! God bless you
You are very welcome!
Thank you Soo much for sharing this video of how to do the fluffy banquet. You explain step by step how you do it. I want to make one myself since I saw another video but it looks kind of complicated. You explain every step clearly. Hopefully whenever I got money I'm gonna get some yarn. What about how many yarn I need for a queen size bed?
Hellooo! So today i couldn't really do the blanket bc there wasnt that much light bc it was at the night but I'll try to do it tomorrow. So I'll edit this and tell you how it goes! BYEEE!
Edit: omg it has been 2 days- i have been taking breaks but i haven't finished but it's good! The blanket is beautiful! Thank you for the video!
That's so wonderful! I'm super glad it was helpful!
Hello! By far the best video out there. Thank you. Quick question when you are finish with one ball of yarn how do you add the second, third and etc. into your blanket?
I like to use the burn method. I do have a full tutorial up that shows how to do it!
I would love to watch the whole video please. Thank you. Your video is great.
Thank you! ❤ I did a scarf and came out great
Wonderful!! You are quite welcome.
I have been so frustrated trying to figure this out. A few mins of your video and a few hours later and I have half a blanket!!! Thank you!
Yay! I'm so glad!!!
Awesome video. Thank you!!
Your a good teacher, thank you
How much yarn will you need to finish the last row. I mean like 2 x’s the length of your row or more?
This is a great tutorial - planning to try and make these as Christmas gifts! Quick question - if you want to get fancy and change colors do you just knot your two colors together and keep going? And just hide the tail formed by the knot somehow?
Thanks for helping me make my own blanket but did I miss something? What are we supposed to do with th tail part is it supposed to be there? Thanks anyway I love making chunky knit blankets now all thanks to this video that I started off from 🙂
Yay! I'm so glad it was helpful! You can weave the tail into the body of the blanket! I have a full tutorial video that you could skip to the ending to see how i do it :)
Thank you 😁
Your video and directions are so easy to follow! ❤
Thank you! I'm so glad you find them helpful!
Excellent, thank you!
Wow this is the best and thank so much it is amazing
Great instructions. I need to make a chunky blanket for a baby. My son's first. Do you know how big a baby crib blanket should be. I have no idea how many rows to start off with. I appreciate any help.
Thanks for sharing I’m doing a blanket for my granddaughter
Wonderful! You are quite welcome.
Thank you so much I’ve others but your. So much more help but trying too make approximately how many rolls of yarn would I need? I have eight rolls and it’s 9 feet each. I would like to make a full-size blanket for a 5’3 person
When you are doing a full blanket, how many loops across and how many rows do you do?
Do you have a place where I can look how many yards it’s needed to make a chunky blanket? I would love to learn to make one for my daughter’s birthday.
first timer, i think my problem is adding a new color after i’ve finished one. its probably not as hard but i’m going through it lol. good video though love it
That can be a bit tricky, but don't give up! I do have a quick video on color changing, so maybe check that out too!
Thank you soooo much, I’m making a blanket and this was so helpful ❤
I'm so glad it was helpful!!!
These instructions are wonderful but my piece still does not look right. Are there certain chunky yarns that work better than others? I'm using Chenille chunky yarn.
It will definitely look best with a #7 jumbo yarn! I personally prefer hobby Bobby's eternal bliss but I think lionbrand has one and walmart does as well. What doesn't look right? Is it shape?
Vielen Dank , super gezeigt.
It’s hard to do the blanket for me dose the blanket take a day to make because I’m a kid so I have no patience!!! But the blanket looks great and I want one for me so.😅
Lol! I can make one in just a couple hours so a day or so is definitely possible!
Awesome!! Thank you!!!❤
Thankful 🥰
I have 8 rolls of the yarn. How do you start a new roll when one is done?
How many skiens of yarn do I buy and how many loops do I make for the rows?
I have a full tutorial video that gives all those details if you would like to check it out!
Hi I’m watching ur video and I’m trying to figure out y as the higher I go up the blanket looks like it’s starting to flare out, am I doing something wrong
Would love to see the entire video.
I have the same kind of yarn sep for it's pink white purple
You should definitely try a throw!
I have a question I ran out of yarn and any advice on how I am able to finish it without buying another bulk??? Please advise me
Full video please! Thank you!
are you using the middle or the top loop? Some of them show you use the middle loop that’s why I want to know it’s confusing so let me know which one you are using the top loop middle loop or the bottom everyone needs to know cause everyone show a different. Thank you.
When I start my first row after the initial foundation chain I work into the top of the chain, or top of the loop. I have seen some people start into the back bump/middle loop, and that absolutely works as well, I think it is really just a personal preference. Hope that helps!
Mine came out a funny shape, one side shorter than the other so the blanket isn't square-shaped. What did I do wrong?
It could be a few things truthfully. First, the nature of this project does not create a perfect outcome. They're not always perfectly square/rectangle unless you have a super consistent stitch size and tension, so it could be that. Also the chain row definitely tends to be tighter and, therefore, a bit shorter than the consectutive rows. It's also possible that you dropped a stitch somewhere, but you would probably notice that.
My guess is that it is just a matter of getting a consistent stitch going throughout!
How much yarn and how chunky is it supposed to be?
How many do we need to chain for blanket? Will be my first try at this
I actually uploaded a full tutorial with all the details!
It's a jumbo #7 yarn and I use about 5 skeins of Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss for a throw
I hear ur avrg is 20 loops i want to make a king size blanket throw how many loops would i need and how many skeens do u think it would take to make a whole king throw i would appreciate the info so that i may start this. Im wanting to make this for my daughter i have cancer and want to leave her something from me and she loves these blankets and i have always wanted to make one so if u. Could plz get back to me ty
How would you add on another ball of yarn if you ran out?
I have a quick video tha shows how to color change and it would be the same to add a new skein! I also have a full length tutorial! let me know if you need more help!
Good tutorial explaining only keeping the first row loop open. I undid my first blanket 3x before finding this.
Pretty sure you are missing a stitch on your closing row though. 🤔
