      LemmingRush lemming why did ya crossed the river?
      on the EU Server its commen to not cross the river and to clean the side first where your base is at
      normally all people who are crosding it will die fast with no impact on the outcomd of the battle
      and btw
      dont say the leo is trash pls
      not until you finally get smooth ride and snap shot!
      it will massively increase the gun handling and you will see that also the leo is able to hit difficult shots and snipe
      so please dont complain about it all the time and keep up the good content ;)

      +lucky he isnt saying the Leo is trash (he did a review on it) rather he is saying its not a sniping tank like most people claim it is

      Personally i would say 2 things. one get rid of the "How to win more in world of tanks" part since this didnt cover that as much as "how to control Erlenberg" would have. Second this would be good for a Map Guide kind of series to show the win conditions of maps and how to prevent losses from happening. The format was good but didnt feel like a "win more" vid more like a "Basic guide to maps and map control" Vid. Felt again more like "how to control the map" instead of a "This is how you win more battles" vid. Personally "Win more battles" vids dont really exist for a game with as much complexity at the high end so whenever i see a title like that it screams to me "Click bait".
      Just my 2 cents

    TL:DR- the W key is OP. Simply being able to advance and secure positions has a massive impact on the round. If anything its disappointing how few players understand the positional nature of this game and reduce it down to "I haz big gun! Bang! Bang!"

    On the EU server each team holds its side of the river and commits no tanks over the river, the first message you get when you load onto this map is 'don't cross the river', no matter what side you're on. So what you end up with is one team holding the 1/2 line and another holding the 9/0. It's then a 'who can camp longest' competition until one team (usually the one with the most tanks left after the sniping dual) takes its brave pills and tries to cross the river sustaining mass losses from the defending team picking them off and then they simply push back across the river and win. Generally whoever camps the longest picks up the win. Yes, it is ALWAYS like this.

      Ben Althof If you are in a scout wait for your team to secure your side of the river and then attempt to use positions down the middle of the map to spot the enemy camping there side of the river. Alternatively if you're not in a light tank, follow the lemming train and camp, camp and camp until you cannot camp anymore. Whilst camping snipe at the enemies side of the river and pray your team snipe's better than them. Eventually you will either wear down the enemy to a point where you can cross the river or the enemy will wear you down to a point where they can cross the river. If they cross the river first, frantically ping the map hoping to deploy tanks to where they are heading and they think they have warn you down, from here snipe them when they are in the open and trying to cross the bridge and you will ruin them and push them back. If you win the initial sniping dual, cross the river and pray they don't reinforce the ridge line opposite with more sniping campers. Sadly this is the only way to play this map on the EU server. If you attempt to cross as Lemmingrush did in this vid you will be alone and the enemy heavies will simply roll over you and you will die with 500 damage and 800 spotting from the damage done by your sniping campers sat on the other side of the river. Yes this has played out many times and I have tried many different things...

    • @pavelp80
      @pavelp80 7 років тому +1

      Ok, this supports my theory, I would say trying to spot better and making less mistakes around middle bridge and pushing bridge which is not so well defended is perhaps best way how not to throw the battle. But it's more or less attrition war, that is about suppressing any aggression and not letting enemy to cross river or spot your hill (which sort of eliminates all paper TDs from battle)

    • @jurekdekarski2316
      @jurekdekarski2316 7 років тому

      It's not always like this. I play on EU and I believe I have a high winrate on Erlenberg (Is it possible to check that out somewhere?).
      I play mostly light tanks and mediums which makes it easier for me to influence the game on this kind of map than with a heavy or TD, so there is that.
      As LR pointed out you have to win one flank and you do that by encouraging your team to push early and spot for snipers later (the former part is for a mediums ofc). With a light tank I usually use a passive scouting positions in the middle which gives spots for both sides of the map, when I see a flank folding I retreat and support the other flank with a push or spot the south bridge area which often stays open, when opponents start to push that way my teammates the spots and damage racks up stalling the push in most cases.
      In a LT you can often sneak up undetected and light up opponents snipers but you have to have support from the middle of the map to succeed.
      This is like a basic over view of what I do to win on this map and of course there is way more to that.

    Good map awareness and positioning by the E75 as well. He recognized you need his gun at the castle to keep them back.
    Otherwise they would've simply pushed and taken the west side of the map. E75 gave your Grille and other mediums time to come and support.
    Great content, keep it up!

    So in other words: You're always on a timer. Push your strong flank, or you lose. Stall your weak flanks, to give your strong flank more time. Camping in the back causes losses.

      however, you should be camping in assault when your team is defense, that because you will win if least of your team mate or you survive the match until time runs out.

    I just found this channel but I like it. The other channels I follow are entertaining, and you can see good gameplay, but rarely does anyone talk about why it was good gameplay. I don't have the knowledge or instincts (or the reaction time) of the guy with 15k damage. So I can't really emulate that. You present concepts that are usable by everyone, not just the best players. It's one thing to mention map awareness (which everybody does), its another thing to explain how to interpret what you are seeing. Thanks.

    I find this helpful, but it feels like it should be a part of a series! You could do stuff Zeven does not; he doesn't really showcase much of his replays in this manner, he comments on other people's and does live commentary - not the same. So, I like specific situations and then how you try to generalise them.

    In theory, you're right lemming. Thing is, 9 0 is way easier to perform a coordinate push from South and 1-3 tanks that go Castle side always just get rushed and die. Thing with this map is, you need to clear your side and hopefully take a position in the middle, and 9 0 side has just better positions in the middle.

  • @defiant4eva

    pretty sure this is not considered a ROFL stomp, because 15 of Lemmingrush's team didn't march down one side in OP tanks killing everything in their path and end the game in 3 mins. Yes, to begin with 13 of them went east, then after a few mins some of them realised "Oh shit this map has two sides" and more of his team came back to help or to support. While the tanks that didn't, slowly ground into the enemy tanks and eventually broke through!
    Plus we never really saw what happened over on the east side, so it is a little unfair for LemmingRush to blame the 113 for losing the game for their team. yes, he was on full HP when he left and moved flank. He saw the blob of tanks coming and thought well I am dead if I stay here. No matter how good your tank is, when is hull down. It will never hold off 4-5 tanks that are determined to push.
    My thoughts on how LemmingRush's team won. Well after the initial start, after the team Lemmingtrained, enough players realised the mistake early and went back and setup a good enough defence on their flank. LemmingRush had 4 other tanks with him and 2 TDs supporting. The E75 didn't do a particular good job and neither did the T54, but at least they provided numbers to that defence to help delay the enemies push.

  • @jurekdekarski2316

    In pub games this map is kind of easy to influence the score with 1 or 2 tanks and sniper support. The problem is usually sniping guys refuse to move an inch forward to have a shot and they stay out of render range which ultimately leads to getting surrounded and losing the game.

  • @blaze1148
    @blaze1148 7 років тому

    You had good close support in the end with the TVP and the E75 as other targets.....even though you had TD's supporting you from the 6 line you would of had to abandon that flank if you were on your own.
    I often try spot on an unguarded flank but have to use the terrain well and have supporting fire to reduce the chance of being isolated and focused fired.......using your superior view range is key here.

  • @caleb7631

    Hey, I have the strv, and the only way to pen it with guns 120mm and less, is by hitting heat close to where the top and lower plates meet. Other than that you can go for the commanders hatch, which is an over match, or flank it. Of course if you hit the heat shield too high up it will bounce, and if you hit the plow too low it will do the same. If you have a 122mm+ shoot the lower plate, or above and below the gun.

    you cant damage a 130b frontally if your gun caliber is 120 or less. Thats because of the autoricochet due to the slope of the tank. The little grille/fence on the front stops HE and HEAT shells. If you have a caliber of 120 or less, your only hope is to track and get around them. If they repair they will be turning quick enough to follow you though

    Well played, you could have been easily countered though if the enemy team had a brain and pushed 1-2 mediums on the K1 area. Also, there was no arty, and because of that you could actually play the leopard in a really strong position instead of hugging rocks.

    Hey Lemming, I think the reason most people snipe in the Leopard is because they don't realize it's actually an MBT. If you look at armored warfare videos of leopards, it is your play style. Try explaining the Leopard as an MBT rather than a medium tank.

  • @thesabreferret
    @thesabreferret 7 років тому +4

    I find there are plenty of games where MM screws you in every way possible, with a team of terribads; a mis-match of tank types, and your team collapses so hard that you're getting double flanked in the first five minutes! Of course, those are also the games where RNG really decides to fuck you as well, so you get to watch all your shots vanish in to thin air. I guess the only suitable thing to do then is to just log out.
    Currently on a one day chat ban for mouthing off about that in public chat. SEA admins are so thin skinned that it's quite laughable.

    I miss the old Match Maker. It made great random battles: an even distribution of top, middle, and bottom tier battles and tons of variety. WarGaming, bring it back with the current team balancing mechanics!

  • @siewkimng1085
    @siewkimng1085 4 роки тому

    Map control is only a single factor out of many variables that determine a win/loss. The fact that most tank can move around means that positions are not necessarily that important. Of course coordinating a team of random to move around the map is almost impossible, that's why there's a perception position is important. However far more important is your position IN RELATION to your teammates, and the class of tanks in question.
    The most important determinant of win / loss is losing or killing tanks. Why do you lose games? If your teammates keep going out of position to get focused fire, your team will lose tanks and eventually lose the game. While it's much easier to get focus fired upon if you lose a lot of map control, you don't need to lose map control for them to decide to (impatiently) drive into enemy firing zones.
    Sometimes a bad distribution of tanks numbers means immediate loss. Put too many tanks into a hard to break flank, and not have enough on a more complex flank means that your team can't break through with the numbers advantage, but the defensive flank get crushed without dealing significant damage to enemies. This can be mitigated if the defensive flank knows how to hold defend-able positions, but randoms play by habit and they will always go to the same position even when it is obviously not defend-able. They will then yell at the teammates that are taking a far more defensive position for "camping".
    Using your tank to its weakness makes it much easier for your team to lose tanks. Losing tanks means you're closer to losing the game. If you bring a sniper tank to front lines, it will get destroyed quickly. If you camp with your top tier heavily armored tank, it means your squishy team often can't out-trade the effective hit points of the enemy top tier heavy. You'll lose a lot of teammates that way and you'll lose pretty soon.
    Sometimes a bad shot due to RNG means losing a game. Or enemy gets a lucky RNG shot means losing a game. Not aiming at the area with the highest probability of damaging hit can result in more misses and failing to connect important shots.
    So why do win/losses happen? Win usually because you've eliminated sufficient enemy tanks so the remaining get focus fired down. Lose because you've lost sufficient allied tanks the remaining ones get focus fired down. Combat multiplayer games are chaotic in nature, which means there's no sure formula for winning, only improvement in chances. The best chance to win is to eliminate enemy tanks (and pay attention to the occasional cap out).

    im sure 4000 other people have said it however for good measure... the ikvs are autobounces from the front and they have to be overmatched to be penned. i know one of them has 40 so its a 121 mm to overmatch and i think another is 30 or 35 so its either a 91 or 101 mm gun neccessary to overmatch.

    I'm still learning, but this is something I've picked up, especially if you're low tier: at least delay the enemy's other push if possible. This is happened to me several times while in a Sherman jumbo and thrown into a game with tier 7-8. I can at least hopefully delay the enemy so my team can win the other side of the map. I'll pay the price with my tank most of the time, but I know I've at least softened them up a bit and maybe take one or two with me.

    This was really a long winded description that could have been summed up simply with this: "To win in WOT battles, the side with the advantage must push, and push fast. The side with the disadvantage must defend, and hold out for as long as they can to buy time." It's just that simple.
    In your game shown, you went to the west. You were at the disadvantage side. So you needed to hold out there. The enemy team had the advantage in the west, but failed to push. They all just drove to the castle, spotted you and the other 2 tanks, and just sat there, and tried to "peek-a-boom" with you.

    Hey man, thanks for the video, really helps. I have a wn8 of 2500 and a recent of about 2.8k on the eu, however for some reason no matter what I do, i cant seem to improve my winrate. It's stuck at 55%, and my recent is a horrific 45%, even though i am carrying most games. Is there anything i am missing or am i just unlucky?

    As an average (read: bad) player myself (I'm trying to improve), I think the mindset of the 113 would have been along the lines of: the 0/1 line should be secured with what tanks are already here and our base needs defending, I'll go back and the other tanks should be able to take their base

      ROFL Stomp: "ROFL" stands for 'rolling on the floor laughing' but has been mushed into other words with their own meanings. In this context it means the act of destroying or owning something in a video game.

    I'm usually the one to go and try to hold the flank alone. It is just so depressing when you and 2 or 3 other tanks hold back 10+ enemy tanks for half the game only to have the 10+ tanks on your team who went the other way get killed by the 3 or 4 tanks they met.

      I've been doing that more, but motivation your team to push with you, instead of just watching you die because no one wants to scratch the paint on their tank isn't easy.

    Sometimes I feel even buying time for them to push doesn't work, I've encounter situations where I try to buy time for the other flank only to find that our other flank totally collapses just because of 2 or 3 unicums holding it so I contemplate sometimes maybe if I had help to push the other flank more aggressively instead of buying time we would have won. wherelifetherehope from the SEA server here hahah still stuck at 53.85% WR haiz.

    All good on paper but 90% of the time i lose is because either 80% of my team dies within the first 3 minutes doing barely any damage, or if i try to cover a flank i get zero support so i end up falling back trying to slow down the enemy and inevitably dying in the process most of the times xD

  • @pdrhnr4253

    How can that 113 stall a push from 4 to 5 tanks eaven hulldown, everytime i try to hold a flank(for example with a t29), the enemy just goes around and shoots me in the rear, since he dindnt have any help(none that i could see), i just think that if he stayed he would just loose his tank.
    Now you were able to keep your flank cuse the e75 just "wasted" his to give those extra 15 seconds so that the tds and the tvp would positin to support, in my eyes if that e 75 would just followed the lemmings, i think that they would just rofl stomp and spot the tds killing the entire flank.
    But then again im only a 50%...

    the reason you won is because you're a unicum. 99% of the time we don't have one in the team when everyone decides to lemming train. resulting in who ever goes to the weak flank gets out positioned and killed. allowing the enemy to encircle the lemmings as they never seem to know what the maps for (even if you click it to warn them).
    sorry if I messed up your theory with facts :(

    I will tell you best way to win, and by doing this any team can improve their win% 60-70% ( but it wont happen a lot as no one playes this game as a team game) chances as soon as the game loads look which enemies are better players and let ur arty focus them, then if u gys are in close combat and ur high in numbers by any chance and where enemy tanks in front of u who are either hulldown or in cover are not in a position to recieve assistance from tds or other tanks from behind just rush em focus and killl rather than just shoot hide you win the flank faster with your numbers. and most imp 1st focus on the better players of enemy always wins you games. ELIMINATING UNICUMS FASTER IS THE WAY TO WIN AS 1 UNICUM CAN LATER KILL OR FIGHT AGAINST MULTIPLE TANKS AND WIN SO ALWAYS BETTER TO ELIMINATE THEM 1ST)

      on the EU Server its commen to not cross the river and to clean the side first where your base is at
      normally all people who are crosding it will die fast with no impact on the outcomd of the battle
      and btw
      dont say the leo is trash pls
      not until you finally get smooth ride and snap shot!
      it will massively increase the gun handling and you will see that also the leo is able to hit difficult shots and snipe
      so please dont complain about it all the time and keep up the good content ;)

    yeah you are right ay but even tho you held your side they won the other if you have high stat tankers on your side you should always win except if they are overconfident so i think that if your side is full of tankers with good stats you will alway win because regardless of the tank if your team is better skill wise you will always win if you fight with your skill just my opinion ay

    • @LemmingRush_
      @LemmingRush_  7 років тому +1

    • @bogan6264
      @bogan6264 7 років тому

      yeah rush they get em coz they good tankers but everyone has different skill levels yes there will always be tankers that do great witch is good to what i was trying to say was its not hard for a team of great tankers to fight against a team of tankers with 1,000 damage per battle when the better side stat wise have 2,000 to 3,000 dmg per tanker yeah of course the higher skilled ones will win because his skill level is higher and it makes it harder for a less skilled tanker to get better when he is with a weaker skilled side

    Games are won and lost primarily due to the 29 other people you've got to deal with, with WG's RNG F*ing you at every turn.
    Unfortunately in my experience I end up with the window lickers who don't even know what the minimap is versus entire platoons of people like Lemming, QB, Circon and the like.
