Great Advice and tips. Here is my summary. 1. Play for enjoyment not for the grind 2. Expect to lose and learn from it 3. Learn and pay attention to maps 4. Spend gold wisely 5. Have fun
I can’t stress enough how important it is to learn the game and not race to tier 10. If you do you’ll end up like me when I started and thinking the tier 9 Conqueror is crap.
@Blackhawk yeah, I make a point of mainly staying away from Tier 6 and below in order to avoid lower tier new players grinding their way through. If WG cared long term they should ensure the matchmaker takes into account player stats, experience, etc and ban seal clubbing platoons running around in their Pz IV/V ...
I did that on a diff account years ago with the German heavy line and British heavy line. It's different now. My Conqueror currently has the most battles so far, and I'm way better with it than I was. Yes I unlocked and bought the 3 10s. Last one being the best...such a great gun on the SC.
@@kquraishi74 I agree Pz V/IV should be banned. At tier V, you have almost 900 HP and 2500 DPM with reload buffs, this is not normal. That is not alright for new players' experience. For that reason, I avoid ramming with mine because it is not nice. I believe everybody should have fun, not just some of us, getting wrecked by a ram panzer I think is not fair play.
I'm the same. I've halted at the teir 9 Conquerer as I just can't get it to work for me. I bounce more off my lower teir Leo than I can with the Conquerer 🤣
My biggest tip: do NOT fail your way to tier 10! If you’re a new player and are just starting out, do NOT buy a tier 8, 9, or 10 premium. Work and grind your way up the tiers - get experienced in playing the game. One of the worst things about this game are those who fail to tier 10 and don’t learn anything in the process. Not only do they hurt themselves by not improving, they enrage the more experienced players around them and make the game a nightmare to play.
@Blackhawk I disagree, although the game is flawed in many ways, it's everyone's responsibility to be self aware, to recognise that you are mortal & not a gaming god... as was imparted to Neo... "know thyself"
@Blackhawk I still didn't miss your point at all, I said the game has it's faults in that direction, but new players are not babies, there are many ways to learn, but many think they don't need to... or are you suggesting those people don't exist? It's not all the game's fault at all!
@Blackhawk You having trouble controlling yourself poppet? What did you say there... "festooned with seal clubbers"? But it's the games fault, right? & who's apologising for WG? I said there are problems with the game, but there are more with the players... I have no idea why you're choosing to wet your bed over it!
@Blackhawk I've got plenty thanks, including an explanation for why you're wrong, but assholes appear to lack understanding... apparently. See, self awareness... Know thyself!
I'm glad you mentioned the value for money aspect of the season pass. For 2,00 gold, you get 2,100 gold in return meaning it pays for itself. And that's without taking all of the other goodies into consideration that come along with it. Around 4,500,000 silver, 14 days of premium time, 2 premium tanks at season level 100 etc make it a great return on investment. If you haven't already, could you please do a video on situational awareness, the strengths of the tank your in and best positions (artillery, lights, mediums, tank destroyers and heavies) etc? Fed up of seeing my whole team lemon one way or position their tank in a place that doesn't suit their vehicle type. See so many people go into hull down positions with tanks that have no turret armour or gun depression. Taking paper thin TDs to the front lines thinking that they're going to trade shots successfully with mediums and heavies, then getting annoyed once they're swiftly taken care of. Bombing their light tanks to 'spot', only to be destroyed within 30 seconds, leaving the team at a vision disadvantage. It becomes infuriating seeing people make the same mistakes over and over again 😆
Oh my gosh. Spot on video today Eclipse. My friend made the T69/T54 tank line look so easy. He three marked both. Loved them. After much convincing I started up the same line. Fell on my face through both tanks. Some tanks, regardless, will never be your friend. *sigh* lol
Not all tanks are your best friend mate, but, the reason is, is that they are playing their favourite tanks wrong. For me, I have to stick to my teammates while hiding in a bush and snipe at enemy tanks in my Stug 3 B, my tank destroyer friend.
Great advice. I tend to keep a minimum of 7mil of silver in my garage. Just means I can afford equipment. All my tanks have equipment, supplies and limited premium rounds. Just makes sense if I need a tier 10 then I tend to wait till the start of the season so I get the silver back quickly. Any tanks I have marked I keep as it tends to mean my play style matches the tank. Like thr Cromwell, M4, Knight, dreadnought, e75, e100 and Russian TDs.
Also advise to new players: new tank not always means best tank. I've destroyed like 50 new players in new italian ht line. Try to see stats of diffrent tanks and than see which one u wanna go for. Why?? Im sometimes playing my t8 premiums for silver and I ve met a ton of players using t10 new italian ht. And a lot of this people are not using it how u should, they are thinking that they have 3 sheels so than can fight 3 tanks...
I always run camo on my tanks, even ones that I don't plan on keeping. In that case, I just run camo for 7 or 30 days with silver. I think a lot of players overlook how important it can be. Maybe it doesn't make a huge difference on heavy tanks, but I even then it gives you a small advantage.
I did most of these, started at German to get tiger 1 , tiger 2 ect, struggled with all of them as id only ever played wot b4 at my friend's after the pub, skipped loads got bullied at tier 10. I ended up running 100s of test games to see exactly how armour, vision ect worked , it was a very difficult way of doing things. Now I'm going back through all the tanks I skipped . Excellent video, this should be shown to every new player.👍
Hey man I loves this video I’ve been playing since week one this game came out and your vid made me think about how I go about using certain tanks you made me realize I have to go back and retrain my tank gaming thank you much appreciated keep up the good work looking forward to more vids
yep, the times ive done something brave or dumb hoping my team would at least take advantage of the distraction. reminds me of HISHE- jurassic world, where the long necks just watch each one die and do nothing. admittedly sometimes it pays off and starts a chain reaction
But some of the best games I've had is when I take that chance hoping that someone will follow me over the hill or around the corner and someone does. Or when I pick that heavy two tiers up to follow and we pummel everyone we meet as a team.
In all seriousness, if I was going to add anything to what you mentioned it is: Be patient. You have 15 minutes. No need to rush or make poor decisions. Yes, watching video helps. Also, if I had trouble dealing damage to a tank I was fighting, I would always go to the garage after that game was finished to review the armor set up of the tank I was fighting. Helped me learn weak spots.
You nailed it. I earned the T95E6 in one of the seasons but I was only about 1700 battles in and I knew I wasn't ready yet. I wasn't skilling any commanders because I didn't really know what that meant, and I wasn't buying equipment because I wasn't earning enough silver. I have a friend who is an experienced player and he took me under his wing. Through his mentorship and watching videos like yours I am learning how to play the game the right way. I have about five Tier X's now and am slowing starting to play them more regular, and I am having success. Thanks for the Channel, its fantastic.
Started off playing to get the hellcat - TD tanks were a new descovery to me. Since then I've always seemed to go the 'other way', against the current meta, and declared anything above t8 not my business, and too serious for fun...feels like I did everything back to front, but its been a fun n interesting journey.
War Gaming showing you how much they care. Get tracked twice and die, you get to come back and spend MORE silver, which translates into lost silver, and spending gold to get more.
took me forever to get my 1st 10. many irons in the fire and no hurry to finish any of them. my weakness starting out was 10 garage slots for 1500. loved me some garage slots i did
When I first started during the first year wotc came out I never shot premium ammo because I thought u would have to use gold to shoot premium ammo wasn’t until about a year later that I found out about switching currency lol
I rushed to tier 10 in order to get the campaign achievements that are now unobtainable and I struggle to do well mostly because my commander is not maxed out.
I do not have any maxed out crews. Most are around 5-7. I think if you only have the experience from the tech tree and go up in tanks as soon as you can, you only end up with 6 skills total. I wonder if someone has mathematically figured out the skills-to-tech-tree ratio.
@@georgehillyer7959 ya my highest skill crew member only has 6 and its the one I took to t10. I think it was at 5 when I initially got it. I've started working on some 2 and 3 star commanders that have exp boost so hopefully it goes faster.
play the tanks, get the next tier with xp but dont play it for a while, its tempting but I went down the e5 line and stopped at the t29 to really enhance my skills and positional knowledge
One piece of equip and one commander skills I find mandatory on every tank is the advanced loader and rapid loading. Increasing your DPM will help you get more kills and shots, thus increase your XP and upgrade faster. I myself play currently at tiers 6-8, the game is more fun that way. Don't rush to tier X, if you don't have the skills yet. You need to do more in the game than at a lower tier, you'll probably loose, you'll get bored or frustrated and abandon sooner. The dust on my T10's is 1 inch thick, that's how bored I became of the "big guns".
Hey eclipse i got a question I have a grille 15 and have got a gun rammer, the equipment which allows to change shells and a camo net, should I switch any of these for vents?
I wouldn't on a tank like the grille as you'd be better off with adv optics, and like some others have said I don't know if vents are even a thing on the grille 15
I agree! When playing 10s I see people all the time playing 10s and can tell by the way they play, they haven't got the skills needed to play a 10! I'm willing to bet they still use the circle map as well. It's like they are playing checkers, and at that level, you should be playing chess!
Here's the biggest mistake anyone can make: playing this game at all. If you're new to the game, quit now. Save yourself a HUGE waste of time (and money). This game HATES noobs, and is full of bots, which being part of the game, know exactly where every tank is from the get-go. I've been one-shotted from full health, without being spotted by a gun that has 120+ damage (I'm not past tier 6) and once by a bot TD that didn't even have line of sight to my TD, again without being spotted. I would LOVE to meet the dic...er, devs. "Explain" my anger in person
Here’s an idea. Why not have bonus experience earned for playing your tank role. Heavies get bonuses for deflecting damage or taking damage, lights for spotting, TDs for damage and kills.
The XP is actually doled out based on the way you play the game in that tank in addition to the damage ETC. You get less XP in a heavy for sniping instead of getting in and brawling.
My king tiger and hammer tiger are some of my favourite tanks. They require full knowledge on how to stay alive. Not like most Russian heavies. Both earnt and good for credit earning. I find tier 8 can require more premium ammo if you match with tier 10s. That's when king tiger struggles.
When I first started all I wanted was a Tiger because I thought I'd be unstoppable, but was I wrong. First few years I only causally played and was woeful. While I'm still pretty average I've learnt alot from your videos. And as an older player from Australia when I'm playing it's usually at times when the majority of people online are more experienced players as it's usually later in the evenings for them. Mistakes are extremely costly. And also learning not to assume your team mates are team players or watching the map consistently..Frequently I'll make a move assuming my nearest green is covering me only to die as he sits back looking in the opposite direction. I still don't think I have the skills to play teirs 10 properly with 11k battles. Only have 1 TT teir X the e-100, also have 3 or 4 premium teir X but don't really use them. I plan on mainly sticking with teirs 5 to 8 until I get better and get crews trained up abit too. Happy Hunting everyone
Lmao thats exactly what i did when this game dropped i was so amazed with german armor being a ww2 buff and i went right up the german heavy line for my first line. I wasnt upset tho cuz the e75 and e100 were very good tanks imo especially after the e100 penn buff
Eclipse...you plan on doing any future live streams? That last one was pretty fun. Maybe go through each nation on each livestream. Just pick random tanks in that nation.
I know this ain't the perfect place to say this....... But holy CRAP The Armadillo is fun. Yea they will nerf it likely very soon, but..if you want a tank to actually farm silver, Armadillo is the way to go. On a loss where the red guys had 13 left and I was the last tank alive on my team, I ended up getting 300k silver, with only a 1.25 silver boost. Only had the thing a couple days and only played I think 20 or 21 battles with it. One battle I ONLY got 96k silver. I barely did anything significant that battle. Got surrounded by 4 enemy armadillos and a HISS, I managed to empty 2 full clips on a few tanks. Killed 1 Armadillo in the process. 3 min. I died It's literally a Silver Printing Machine.
In CW mode you'll get more silver with your prem tanks. 100k is a normal return with prem account. Keep in mind that in CW that you'll pay 1.5 mil silver for a gun upgrade :)
Rushing to tier 10 are muppets, they think it is the promised land, that’s why there are so many of them in the game. Truth is I never got so many tier 10 tanks I found I had more fun playing lower tiers. I stopped playing nearly two years ago now on console and moved to pc, and I am in no rush to get to tier 10. For those just starting I highly recommend don’t rush to get to tier 10. Stay in the lower tiers 6, 7 and you’ll realise it’s actually quite good fun. I know the stupid +/-2 matchmaking really screws things up and should be taken out of the game entirely.
you played too many games in that arty, that I could take your words serious 😂 Okay jokes aside, nice tips. As for the arty, I think everyone should play what they want. I wish I could enjoy arty, but I dont
61% win rate dang n here I can't even get past 51% lol...I have almost all the tier 10's n have over 450 yes 450 mil in silver...in the old days when they had the silver challenges or OPS I played my premium tanks until the silver OPS were done...I don't buy tier 10's unless they are on sale lol n all of my tanks have equipment n a lot of premium rounds...spot on vid sir play lower tiers learn the game earn the silver n XP before moving up jmo
Playing tier 6 and below is a nightmare nowadays with 4-7 idiots in every game not even firing a shot. Some firing tanks just fire at birds and rocks instead of firing at enemy. These players are killing the game.
What’s killing the game is those people you are describing are moving up to tiers 7 and up. The simplification of tech tree progression was a bonehead move on WG’s part. Like putting 75 mph signs on a washed out county road and designating it an interstate highway.
Another mistake: The number of tanks in your garage, well...more is not always better. Collecting as many tanks as possible does not make a better tanker. This splits up your time and resources. This may slow your advance in the tech tree. Collect too many and you get wasted resources put into premium tanks thay collect dust. Spend wisely
bruh, I have over 140 tanks that have never been set up. Whether earned through ops, key cards, or rewards I don;t even bother with wasting my time if I know I am not going to play them. This is even more important since 6.0 as selling equipment only nets you 50% of the original cost. Easy to lose your ass by setting up tanks you don;t intend to play frequently.
Your winrate is largely dependant on what you play and buy. If you came from 360 to ps4 and buy prem because you don't want to regrind again.. Then you stuck playing against tier 10s constantly and yes you can do well but you will not win games, with few exceptions. Light tanks are stronger then anything else at that tier in my opinion. The maps are all gone, all the good city and field combo maps are gone. Heavies are not good anymore, in most cases but if they gave back the maps then they could still be fun. You can know the mechanics even know them well and you still have to learn the maps and learn them for each tank type each tier. I don't really care about the winrate I just care about having fun fair games. I bought all these other tanks and wg ripped me off, least that's how it feels. They mean little without the maps to play them, with a fair tier balancing. I assume it's because there's not many console players left and most are playing tier 9-10. Everything they do is rubbing me wrong. The silver grab the prem the sneaky UI. The stolen maps wtf. They can leave them in and still work on the maps, they don have to remove them to do it. No customer appreciation, players into payers. I've bought like 50 premium tanks in maybe a year and a half time frame. Shit u should get free prem all year if you buy more then 5 prem at 50$ in a year. Do you know how much money they make? A shit ton and yet they always reach for more. Shows you they are a true globalist elite mindset company. I doubt it costs much to do what they do, servers uploading tank images scanning ect. There's not that much going on. World of warcraft charged 15$ a month I think... 50$ a tank.. At tier 8 much more at tier ten. Yet they still get greedy. Now they want to restart and do it all again in coldwar.. I doubt it. Sorry for using this as a blast site, I'm sure you get a lot of negativity.
On average, even in Tier 10 games, I'll see someone in a Super heavy, like a Maus, E-100, 705A, etc... that does nothing but sit behind a rock at the cap and look to snipe. End of the match, I normally see at least 3 players that have done nothing, no damage at all. Just played a game yesterday where EIGHT players did zilch, nada, not a damn thing and most of them were Tier X vehicles. We got steam rolled...👀
Pfft completely wrong at the beginning, the E100 was for most people their first tier X and even today it is one of the absolute best tier X’s My first tier X was FV4202 back in the day and I hated it so I got E100 as my second and now I’ve had a total of 22 tier X’s and E100 is still one of the best I have
Well I don;t know about avoiding these mistakes in game but it would appear WG have made a few mistakes over on WoWs judging from all the excrement floating on the oceans there. 😂 You might like to watch this - ua-cam.com/video/d57cgLl5uSA/v-deo.html Especially at the end where some of WG's more "shady" business dealings are involved. The good ship WG might be doing a "Titanic" soon. 😄
It's almost like this guy's a relative of bushka on blitz and he's trying to give you this run-down version of somebody look at the amount of time and money these guys put into this game, the game is based on people impulsively getting what they want centaurion aviary is a perfect example, the German tear guns and tear tanks are much more accurate historically than any other gun but this game is developed by belarusians that make Russian tanks piss excellence and everyone else that wants to run historically accurate armaments and guns gets shafted just think of what would happen if they had the PA k40 in this game Tr10 tr90 real just a bunch of folks that have immersed themselves into the game and want their Burger King their way right away same thing rinse wash repeat anything deviating from that it's just a distraction
Hi Eclipse, I’m a noob. Need basic advice. First, I will spend $ but I’m not going crazy. Premium account, but at what point, how soon? Season pass? 2) I’m playing with the three free tanks. Not sure what country I want to grind. Advice. Best countries , ie top 4. 3) how do you know what type of tank to play when as a noob I stink at all types. 4) how do I learn where to go on the many maps? Sorry for all this. One of the biggest mistakes new players can make is regarding the ammunition. Shooting a lot of high explosive because the alpha damage is higher.
took me forever to get my 1st 10. many irons in the fire and no hurry to finish any of them. my weakness starting out was 10 garage slots for 1500. loved me some garage slots i did
When I first started during the first year wotc came out I never shot premium ammo because I thought u would have to use gold to shoot premium ammo wasn’t until about a year later that I found out about switching currency lol
The tank I have the most games in is the Super Perishing, I find it a fun tank.
fun, long as its not going uphill or out in the open being bombed by artillery. still a great tank
Sound advice, Any advantage is good, Excellent clip, more like this for the green beans team please.
Purchasing the season pass is a no brainer. GG wg.
play the tanks, get the next tier with xp but dont play it for a while, its tempting but I went down the e5 line and stopped at the t29 to really enhance my skills and positional knowledge
I was fresh out and chose the British heavy fv215b just cause it looked cool.
Now I have 5 tier X off of that line after updates
Here’s an idea. Why not have bonus experience earned for playing your tank role. Heavies get bonuses for deflecting damage or taking damage, lights for spotting, TDs for damage and kills.
This is a great idea!
The XP is actually doled out based on the way you play the game in that tank in addition to the damage ETC. You get less XP in a heavy for sniping instead of getting in and brawling.
@@diecastneverland756 I’m a day 1 console player and never knew that. Hence why there should be more tutorials on the base gameplay
Let us see some of ur games on the T92 spg
I don't think the world is ready for that yet 😂😂
I wasnt upset tho cuz the e75 and e100 were very good tanks imo especially after the e100 penn buff
which E100 pen buff?
@@SOIBand back in the day the 152mm gun only had 235 pen
@@SOIBand we used to call it the heat 100 cuz you had to load heat ammo to be competitive
@@willo.2324 that Sounds even more painful
Eclipse...you plan on doing any future live streams? That last one was pretty fun. Maybe go through each nation on each livestream. Just pick random tanks in that nation.
Nice vid I’m grinding for the 277 and just got the second gun on the kv-85, it’s a beast! 2k Sam age 1st game
Not a good player but I'd love to play a few games with you if ever possible
Ive found that I can easily grind a season if I have as few as 10 days left. I'm playing every night, but it's very doable.
Great tips!!
3 min. I died
It's literally a Silver Printing Machine.
I know the stupid +/-2 matchmaking really screws things up and should be taken out of the game entirely.
you played too many games in that arty, that I could take your words serious 😂
Okay jokes aside, nice tips. As for the arty, I think everyone should play what they want. I wish I could enjoy arty, but I dont
I have camo net on my e100 and try to snipe
61% win rate dang n here I can't even get past 51% lol...I have almost all the tier 10's n have over 450 yes 450 mil in silver...in the old days when they had the silver challenges or OPS I played my premium tanks until the silver OPS were done...I don't buy tier 10's unless they are on sale lol n all of my tanks have equipment n a lot of premium rounds...spot on vid sir play lower tiers learn the game earn the silver n XP before moving up jmo
Don't expect the guys on your team driving tier 10 tanks to be tier 10 players.
Additional advice - it's a game. Be a good sport. Being gracious, supportive and understanding doesn't take much more effort than being a jerk.
- dont: think you need to rely on gold ammo. (unless youre a scrub playin some op prem tank that needs it to even be good)
Your winrate is largely dependant on what you play and buy.
1.3k games in the T92 HMC... are you alright? 😂
Grinding five or six tech trees at a time
…..yea. About that. I have too many tech trees going at the same time. Currently 6 tanks at tier 9, just for one example.
The Tiger I is listed as the most played tank by me in my gamer profile. Why will it be?😂😂😂
Me when I saw that the t92 is your most played tank😳
dont hurry and have some fun blowin stuff up and getting wrecked
Can we talk about the world of Campers we're seeing lately?!? Did everyone suddenly forget how to drive forward since the 6.0 update???
Going for the "I can't let my tank get hurt" and "easy wins."
I have 0 tier 10 tank , but i have cold war tanks
youre overnight gonna suddenly get better if you watch a youtube video- eclipse
youre gonna be the best player in the game- also eclipse
Biggest tip for new players, Japanese mediums
Pfft completely wrong at the beginning, the E100 was for most people their first tier X and even today it is one of the absolute best tier X’s
My first tier X was FV4202 back in the day and I hated it so I got E100 as my second and now I’ve had a total of 22 tier X’s and E100 is still one of the best I have
Well I don;t know about avoiding these mistakes in game but it would appear WG have made a few mistakes over on WoWs judging from all the excrement floating on the oceans there. 😂

It's almost like this guy's a relative of bushka on blitz and he's trying to give you this run-down version of somebody look at the amount of time and money these guys put into this game, the game is based on people impulsively getting what they want centaurion aviary is a perfect example, the German tear guns and tear tanks are much more accurate historically than any other gun but this game is developed by belarusians that make Russian tanks piss excellence and everyone else that wants to run historically accurate armaments and guns gets shafted just think of what would happen if they had the PA k40 in this game
Tr10 tr90 real just a bunch of folks that have immersed themselves into the game and want their Burger King their way right away same thing rinse wash repeat anything deviating from that it's just a distraction

I have much more but I’m sure you don’t have the time. Thanks
