A Very Important Food Item For My Freezer For The Upcoming Winter Season/OLD SCHOOL BEEF CHILI

- OLD SCHOOL BEEF CHILI
So I love to make chili this time of the year
You can use beef if u like in this recipe
Recipe
1 pound large grind beef
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped bell pepper
8 oz chopped tomatoes
8 oz can rotel tomato
1/2 cup chili powder
1/3 cup paprika
4 cup beef stock or water
Salt and pepper to taste
Saute onions and peppers until soft
Add seasoning and cook 5 minutes
Add meat and cook until brown
Add beef stock and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour
Thicken with roux if u desire a thicker chili
ENJOY WITH CORNBREAD OR CRACKERS

Hi, Chef Jeffrey. I'm from FL, but recently moved to the Houston area. Since I came here, I've often wondered why the chili here was without beans. Reason why I was so curious is because every where you go to eat here there's Tex Mex cuisine and most menus offer bean dishes. So I couldn't understand how the chili would be beanless. I've had it and it's good, but I am still more partial to beans in mine. 👍🏽😊

Great looking chili 🙂 . I would probably leave out the smoke sausage, but a lot of people like it , but if iam gonna use on a hot dog , I feel it changes the flavor a bit, with that smokiness. Thanks for video!!

That good'old belly filling Chili and a deck of those Saltine or non-salted Crackers or even light bread is a great meal all by Itself ! You actually Can top'off that Chili in any kinda Way regarding the extra thing's that You might like to be in there ingredient-wise to make that Chili really hearty and totally Side bustin' filling to the Stomach.👍👌💯%

Looks delicious! I'm over here in Virginia where we usually always have beans in our chili. Not a fan of kidney beans so I use black beans and white beans in mine. It's getting to be that chili time of year here.
Chef Jeffrey, good morning to you. I have one problem with you. Don't talk about us East Coast people on how we like chili with beans because I am a part of the group too. I can eat it with or without beans in the chili. It is all about how hardy a stew can be. We may want to enjoy on a very cold blizzard day when you are bone cold during the winter time from shoveling snow. 😊

I keep chopped and strips of different colored peppers in my freezer. They come in so handy for cooking! Chili looks delicious!
What is that 2nd spice after the chili powder you put in please? "Camino?" Cumin?
Try using a little Masa flour mixed with a ilttle water to thicken with next time.....it's delicious in chili!

This is an excellent starting recipe for chili. I like a little spicier version, not too spicy but a step above what you made. Chop up a jalapeno or two instead of the bell pepper for me.
I just made Chef’s recipe with the bell pepper, and I added a jalapeño. It’s good!
