@alexmcmillen7892 you must not know how to cook or read, which is very unfortunate for you. The recipe says brown sugar is optional, I don't have AB's creole seasoning, and I've had chili with cinnamon but didn't like it. If you actually knew how to cook, you would know that just because someone admits 1-2 ingredients, that doesn't mean they didn't use the recipe. My chili won, so several people thought it was the best one! Happy New Year and I hope you have the day you deserve!!
@@lovebabygirl2012 what’re you trying to prove with that response lmao. If you omitted ingredients, you didn’t follow the recipe. You probably still made a good chili, both can be true.
I'm pretty sure my phone eavesdropped me talking about my company chili cook off coming up and that's how this wound up on my recommended. I'm glad you posted! Now I'll give it a shot and maybe do the same as you, I'm also not sure I like cinnamon in it. You might like chilli with cinnamon if you add a little cocoa powder. It gives it a much more well rounded spice flavor and if you add guajillo chile it makes it a bit smokey.
Thank you so much! Made this today for a chili cook off at work. Within 2 hours my chili was completely gone. Won the cook off! Was told by far the best chili ever. I did add extra cinnamon and less sugar. I also added Thai chili peppers because I like spicy.
PEACE! Texan here. First day is w a side of excellent iron skillet cornbread. Next day Frito pie then enchiladas. Like how you assembled all the ingredients. Your right it's all going to come together. I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks
Fellow Texan here. I'm making chilli :no beans" tonight for Our 1st Friday event. I didn't think about bringing a bag of Fritos but I will. 😋 2 weeks ago I made chilli beans.

Interesting, Did the recipes with a small modification: Replaced the Jalapino by boiling dried Chipotle - Ancho - Puya, puree them when soft. Gives a more smoky and layered pallet. Never tried Cinamon before, but it works super well and provide another layer, especially with a very small amount powdered Clove . Thanks for the inspiration
Ok. It's official. You are my FAVORITE youtube chef! I have made two or three of your recipes, and have received compliments on them! Thank you so much for your delicious content!

1 year ago, you taught me how to make chili. I grew up only eating and making Mexican food so a huge thank you as it’s my husbands favorite! I always come back to your chili video.
The Chisolm Trail ran cattle through San Antonio Texas in the 1800s where they created Chili to keep the Ranchers fed. I appreciate your creativity but Ranching culture is an important part of American history.
😊 I just want to thank you for this recipe, I have made this so many times now and the family absolutely loves it! I do omit the jalapeño most of the time because of the light weights in my family 😂, as well as add some other spices from time to time, but overall I follow this recipe. Thank you again, I look forward to making more of your recipes, they have made me a better cook!
Ok so I made this today with every ingredient you used except the rub (I plan to buy some). Let me tell you, this is the best chili I ever had in my life. I made it to last 3 days. It only lasted a day in a half because it was all I ate because it was so good! Now I’m back to make my mother some lol! Thanks AB
Soon as I get some money ima donate to you and your channel because I’ve used 3 of your recipes already and fell in love with your techniques! You are so awesome and thank you!❤
Thanks for making this video. I’m in a chili cook off this week and love how you put all the meat and spices together before adding any liquid. That meat soaked up the flavor of the veggies and seasonings. I like to use vegetable juice for the base and beef broth. One other thing is I use the Bloemers chili base in the fridge section at the grocery.
I automatically love whatever you are making. I love your voice😂. I love your recipes and I love you. You make life worth cooking!!!! I’m going to put this chili recipe in my neighborhood chili cook off!!!!🎉
Did beef bacon base, then garlic, then green pepper, 4 jalapenos (left seeds in one of them) and onion, then added the smoked brisket, then crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, V8 spicy, and acan of tomato soup. Chili powder, cayenne, cumin, black pepper, pink salt, black raspberry syrup, beef bouillon for the seasoning, and added red kidney and black beans. Cook low 4 hours and completely cool. Then, cook low again 2 hours. I love your videos, Bro. Keep 'em coming!
I JUST made this. It's amazing! You're right, no oil on top! I added Morton season salt, and some chili seasoning packs! One pack of ground beef and one pack of ground pork💕 I was a little nervous during the 2hr cooking period because I'd smell Cinnamon, but it made a good taste! Thank you so much💕 I love a black man cooking 🥹🤎
Yesterday I went to the store and brought my ground beef and my kidney beans and I like garbanzo beans to and I usually use two of your other recipes but lo and behold you have a third recipe for chili and this is the one I'm making right now thank you so much for everything you do you are an inspiration and I love cooking and❤❤❤❤😊😊 using your recipes
Aww AB! You had my mouth watering!! Love this recipe, and yeah I add the kidney beans and also a can of black beans. My kids called my chili 5 alarm due to the spices. I’ll be trying the secret ingredient! Have a blessed day!
Yep, it's about that time to bring out the comfort foods! Looks delicious 😋! I cook my chili with pinto beans because that's how I grew up eating it, but I must try kidney beans. Also, I must try the brown sugar and the cinnamon. Thanks 👍🏾!
Everybody has their preferences when it comes to chili. I use a shot of spicy mustard in my chilis and I up the heat using Scotch Bonnet or Carolina Reaper peppers rather than the jalapeno. The cinnamon twist is a new thing to me but I'm going to give it a try next batch I put together. I found that the Fritos tend to make the end result too salty for my tastes, but that's me. My preference is usually the cornbread or oyster crackers, depending on how much liquid I get per serving. I did pick up one of those hamburger mincers and it is much faster than using a bamboo spatula. It's also very handy when I'm making sausage gravy. Thanks for bringing that kitchen gadget to my attention. I'd like to see your approach to goulash, not that nonsensical stuff made with hamburger, but the real deal that some people call paprika beef stew.
