40 vol is unnecessary in my opinion. It bothers so many clients scalps. 30 vol should be more than sufficient for anyone lifting several levels.
Yesss I totally agree when I first started doing my own hair I damaged it so much because i use to use the 40 vol and I’m still paying the price but after doing it like this my hair is slowly coming back. Glad you enjoyed the video! 💕💕☺️☺️
Yep.....your are correct. Fools use 40 Volume Peroxide, thinking it will lighten better, and faster. WRONG!
TIME and patience is key.
I use 30 Volume Peroxide, leave on black/dark brown hair for 60-70 minutes. Second processing, use same mixture, leave on for only 45 minutes. Wait overnight to Tone hair, thus, allowing hair and scalp to rest and heal.
I used this process and my almost black hair turned paper, pure white, without toner....I have NO yellow at all. Going to be using 20 Volume Peroxide with Ion Icy White, on damp, not wet, hair. Damp hair makes the Toner add dimension and shimmery effect on the hair.
Unfortunately, people are uneducated and in a hurry, no patience, thus, burn their scalp and ruin their hair. Dumb.
The skin is the largest organ of the body, which the scalp is skin. Thus, the chemicals used to bleach and color hair ABSORB into the bloodstream through the scalp and follicles. Sad.....I know this, as I am an ER/ICU/Trauma Nurse, and taken Chemistry in college. Hair restructuring is one of the things we talked about. A true and good hair colorist should have understood Chemistry BEFORE touching a client's hair.
Oh....and NEVER use dryer geat to accelerate the bleaching process. Only cover head and allow the head's natural heat to help the processing.
I used a Walmart bag then covered it with a Beanie....lol.

Next time just bleach your roots nothing else and only use 20 vol developer at your roots. it lifts just as much as 40 or 30. It just takes more time and causes way less damage. And if you feel the need to do the ends which it’s hard to tell if your ends needed it cause they were already toned. But put bleach and 20 vol on the ends for 5 minutes at the very end before washing it all out, just to remove the old toner. But if you think your mids and ends were already a level 10 never put more bleach on them. Bleach will break your hair off if there already a level 10.
Also purple shampoo is for maintenance after toner is fading and from hard water etc. you shouldn’t use purple shampoo before toning. Or even directly after unless you want purple hair the cuticle is still too open to put purple shampoo on after bleaching…. Use it your next hair wash if you want but never before and after bleaching unless you want some purple hues
Never use a 40 when bleaching!!. You can add the oil right in with the bleach and or color. Less irritating

Hi there!! 😊 If you have the toners you do not need it it basically does the same thing but I like the purple shampoo more only because I feel it’s less damaging to the hair but it does not last long with two washes it’ll be out of the hair if you want your hair toned for longer definitely do the toners
