I'm not a professional!!!! I do this at my own risk!!!
At first i was using L'oreal Colorista Bleach Out to bleach my hair..but then it was adding up($13 each time) because i was only getting a week and a half / to weeks out of it before my hair started to show it's roots again. So i wanted to find a product that would work just as good as that one. When i went to Sally's Beauty and the lady told be about the Ion Color Brilliance Bright White cream lightener and to use it with a 30 developer. I was like great i will get it plus it has more product then the L'oreal one...so it will last me for along time. Remember i said i'm not a professional!!! I do this at my own risk!

Nicole-try using an increased developer AMOUNT. One and a half times as much. For example, if you mix four ounces of lightener with six ounces of developer. This will give you a higher “working volume” of the developer. Typically, we mix a ratio of two parts developer to one part lightener. So, if using a 30 volume developing Creme, this would give you a working volume of 30. If you mix it with equal parts lightener, this only gives you a working volume of 15! Also, cover your hair with a plastic cap after applying your lightener. This will keep the mixture moist AND boost the action of the lightener. You should also be able to find small elastic plastic ear covers at Sally’s. I see your skin around your hairline is reddened-apply a SMALL amount of Vaseline to your hairline before application and this will eliminate this irritation. Be careful not to get it on the hair-you will end up with a dark spot. Finally, if your hair is more yellow in a specific area, begin the application in THIS area FIRST. This means the lightener has longer time in contact with this hair. Yes, I am a colorist and have been doing double process blondes since 1975!

I do hair for a living! if you want to even out the yellowy part of the blonde you can reapply the bleach but with a ten developer and that would brighten it up to match the rest. you can do it right after you wash and dry your hair from the first application. I didn't even notice the difference until you pointed it out though, it looks great!

I do hair as well and I'm a silver platinum blonde , please don't re-bleach ... just use a toner with 20 volume... get wella t-18. It's 5$ and you would only need to use 1/3 each time. The 20 volume will lift the top that little extra bit more and make your hair elsa white. Trust me , I know it's an extra step but it's worth it and does so much more then what a purple shampoo can do! Also , you didn't mention what you're paying for the bleach cream , but I know how creams operate and you go through them like water. You can invest in any of the tubs of powder bleach at Sallys that range from 10-20$ , they are usually a pound of bleach and since you do this so frequently... I think you would get way more bang for your buck! Your hair is so close to your scalp that I would honestly put my career on the lime to say that ANY bleach will lift as high as the one in the video!
Cheyenne Bradley oh i thought i had said the price in the video sorry about that...with my sally red pro card i pay around $11. It says it left's 8 levels and the lady into Sallys told me not to use the powder bleach because it would not make mt hair feel good..with this bleach after using it , it feels soft. I know I'm not a hair dresser and i do this at my own risk. I tried toner and didn't like how it came out. And i didn't bleach hair again . I like using the Milk Shake Shampoo. A few weeks later i put pink in my hair and it faded to a gray/pink so when i went ti bleach my hair again because of my roots my hair went a white blond..which i like and it's all the same colour on top and on the side's now because my hair is after growing out. Thank you for all the tips tho.
You have explained this better than anyone on here, I've been trying to bleach my hair to get a nice white or blonde because I have natural dark hair I plan on dying it lavender but didn't know what products to use thank you so much 💕 on my way to Sally's 😁

Bleaching is so cheap and easy. It's very expensive at the salon. If you want it bright white you have to process twice and use a toner. The toner will cancel out yellow 💛 you want to go past orange to pale yellow/white. I wait a few days between these processes and put condition in my hair heavy. This helps it not fry my hair. Also mixing 1:1 does make it lighten more.
I got this creme bleach. I thought it would be easier to mix. I'm using the creme for my second pass. I only need 2 more levels for white. Yay. I got a pretty pale yellow this time!
Always remember, purple is for yellow, blue is for orange.
That is the best bleach I have tried. I used the quick white on my buzzed head and it left some weird orange spots and I went over with the ion brilliance and it lifted those spots with no issues.
It worked! Got the grey from the last toner out and lightened it where I like. I did have to use a toner my hair likes to go what I call "sunburst" on me so I got a new creme wella toner in a different shade than normal. It was a beige instead of my normal t18. No grey, no sunburst, just a lovely platinum blonde💖 I was sooooo worrie. Thank you for your advice

Wow it lightened a lot!! I usually use ion’s powder bleach but this creme version looks interesting! Also wella color charm toner t18 is really good to get the yellowness out!

FINALLY. A video with true INFO!! I have orange hair and it’s a dark salmon color I hate. I’m wanting a true cotton candy pink. Have to bleach it and Lord help me I neva done it in my life but I have done my own haircuts and color for...20 years LOL. Been really considering shaving my head to a longer Mohawk style as well but...Idk if I could get away with it cuz my head isn’t shaped so pretty like yours is. I have Italian skin too. Like I said I'm not a pro at this..I have been bleaching my hair for a long time now. If you have a Sally's beauty supply shop near you ..I would go in and ask what volume developer to use on your hair. Also always do a test on a small part of your hair and check it every 2 minutes. I leave mine on for 60 minutes..but when I first started I would only leave on for 20 minutes.
As for shaving your hair into a longer Mohawk I would go for it. Thanks💜

We use bleach to clean the toilet-LOL you know, we have to think how strong stuff like this is I realize( it’s a bad joke but)...doing it right now. 20VOL developer ion sensitive scalp and bright white ion... I also bought snow cap toner which Do you Google where that fits in LOLOL 😂 I have narcolepsy and ADHD so I am just a mess let me tell you! I have no patience and I’m like a teenager Just dying to try it...GULP so here we go!! Hey so I’m thinking of using the bleach and developer on my hair so that I can dye my hair a purple/burgundy after and I have like medium brown hair, so you think this would work for me? And would it be okay to bleach and then dye my hair?
Hi! Like I said in the beginning of the video I'm not a professional I do this at my own risk and everyone's hair is different..so If I where you I would go to your beauty supply store and ask them if they products would work on your hair colour and how long you should keep the product on for and you can also ask them if you should test a peace of your hair first before bleaching it all. I always like to give my hair a bit of a break with a hair mask and then I would color it a few days after. I hope this will help you.

Have you ever tried using a toner? Maybe a toner would help with your whole head looking the 1 colour. I use Wella T18, and I absolutely love it!
Daily Laura yes i have.. and i just didn't get it to look right. When i wash my hair i always use the milkshake shampoo and i find after a few time's it makes it blend better.
If you want the top to lighten more you could either apply to that area first, or use a slightly higher developer just on that area

I just used this on HH extensions with 40 developer- wrapped them in foil and let me tell you, I got scared lol those little foil packets got so hot I had to drop them in the sick while running cold water to rinse them. So def do not use 40 developer on your scalp lol I can’t imagine hot that would be on your scalp. But I will say this- it works- it lifted black hair to a blonde brown fast and probably lifted 8 shades. I’ll def use this again!
mnmb3640 i would never use 40 developer. Next time when you do use it only use 30 and i would wrap them in foil at all. Just leave them and they will change on there own ..i know it would take longer with no foils on them but then they won't get hot.💜

I really liked your video...I skimmed thru the comments, so I don't know if you have been asked this..sorry if u have .......but I would really like to know. Have you used a toner? Or do you not out of preference? Just curious to know if it was something you've tried ..and also the lighting does give any shaved hair different shading. So your not alone! Just the way the hair grows in areas, it may grow thicker there ya kno, but really cute video! Thanx for sharing!

I just bought this product today and I'm soibf a test strand right this second....i really hope it turns out. Usually I use powder bleach and wella toner but I'm going foe a softer blonde than my usual platinum....fingers crossed. I'm worried because of mixing, since I'm just doing a text strand. The girl at Sally's said one drop to two drops. I'm worried😕😕
I would say to try what the girl at Sallys said and check it every minute to see how it is. For me i never did a test on my hair ..i just put it on because i have been doing my hair for such a long time now that I'm use to it. But i always tell people when they ask me out in public about my hair to do a test first because I'm not a hairdresser and i don't know how your hair will react to the products. That is what I use(at my own risk) depending on your hair you might only need a 10 volume. Always ask a professional. Hope this helps 😊

Ion is a much better quality and ethical brand, unlike L'Oreal, so good choice! And 40 volume is really unnecessary because it doesn't do much more than 30 volume besides burn more.
I just used mine and omg it lifted my bad bleach job with mint green and it’s a lot lighter

Nicole Chantell yeah it was horrible I had blue hair used color remover that smelled like ass had gray hair put purple bleach over it turned it green but now I bleached it all out
@@kikismith533 sorry i misunderstood what you had said..i was thinking that this bleach made your hair mint green. Good that you have it all bleached out. I have been a lot of colours as well.

If you use 1 oz of the bleach also 1 oz of developer. If you use 2 oz of the bleach, 2 oz of developed. :) equal parts.

Hi! Sorry I didn't show it..all I did was I took the bleach (that I had in a measuring cup) and same with the developer and put it in a bowl and mixed it up. I always recommend going to Sally's beauty supplies or a beauty supply store and ask them about the amounts to use. Like I said in the video I'm not a professional and I always go there to ask questions about hair. I hope this helps you .

Why would you need a brush as your hair is so short? The top of your head is yellow...not blonde.
I like to use a brush because it's less messy. I did say at the end of the video that the way the light hits the top of my hair it gives off a different color and also it has to do with the way my hair grows. That no matter what color i but i my hair that the top will always be a little different. If you look at any of my other videos you will see that my hair is whiter on top then it is on the sides now.
