Its insane how a grown woman can’t take any accountability at ALL. Everything is I “misspoke”, nothing is lie. And she continues to wonder why people don’t like her when she can’t admit to anything.
I think I see what happened with the weight loss doctor (around the 14-minute mark). I'm betting that, at the beginning of their appointment, he looked at her, her health, her history, etc., and said, "Yes, you need weight loss surgery." Then, later, when it came out that she has a habit of binge-eating, he said something along the lines of, "Weight loss surgery would not be a good fit for you UNTIL YOU GET THAT UNDER CONTROL." Binge-eating can be fatal in patients that have had WLS, especially while their sutures are still healing (remember Dr. Proctor chewing Amy Slaton out for eating right after her surgery?). If he got the impression that she didn't believe how serious that would be, there would be no reason for him to send any literature home with her. He probably recommended a therapist instead.

She also will tell on herself most of the time with her "medical knowledge" and say she knows better so she is going to do it her way. Any doctor that touches her would face the medical board with a bad outcome and its not the risk most will take

Same, a lot of the other reaction channels are annoying with how over the top they are to compensate for nothing happening in the Amberverse, I think Salty mitigates this by reacting to specific older videos and only doing weekly recaps

I had a D&C some years ago due to a cyst. They give you a sedative for this, so you're asleep, but not under full anesthesia. You're not on a ventilator or anything (maybe oxygen if needed), so of course sleep apnea can kick in while you're basically sleeping. For a hysterectomy I'm sure (not a doctor, just being logical about this) you get put under anesthesia, which means you don't breathe on your own and a machine has to do it for you. Obviously, the machine doesn't mimic sleep apnea. It just breathes for you. Soooooo, of course she didn't F-ing stop breathing under anesthesia. But her IQ is somewhere around 140... Sure, Jan. Sure. And I'm flying my cow over to Mars real quick, to get a Mars rock for a snack.

I had a d&c while awake…it’s not the same as a surgery where you’re under serious anesthesia. I’m sure they had breathing support for her during the hysterectomy so she probably didn’t have a chance to stop breathing. Girl should get tested for sure.

Yes a DnC is a twilight procedure. It’s done under gentle sedation similar to the sedation used during a wisdom tooth extraction. A full hysterectomy is done under general anesthesia, during which you are given a paralytic and you need to be intubated to keep breathing. With sleep apnea, she would have had problems breathing during the twilight procedure, but not the hysterectomy. Because during the hysterectomy she would have had respiratory support.
As a super morbidly obese person on the verge of stroking out or having a massive heart attack, the doctor would definitely want ANYTHING for weight loss. Pleeeeze.

It was interesting how much time she spent on that one as opposed to some of the others. I agree with Salty that it really wasn't a big deal in the first place. Even if she said here that she lied before to protect Becky and left it there, I wouldn't have thought it was a big deal. But she goes on and on about how wrong it was and how sorry she is, and that is the most striking part of it.

A D&C is commonly performed under MAC anesthesia which doesn’t require airway assistance, whereas a hysterectomy is performed under general anesthesia which requires airway support

During surgery the anesthesia Dr watches your heart and breathing 100% of the time. A loud alarm goes off if she stopped, however, you're drugged and that wouldn't coordinate with nightly sleeping anyway. She's lying
She confuses "I feel" language so much. It's supposed to be feelings resulting if actions (actions that are rooted in reality!) not creating false intentions. A good example of it is: "I feel disregarded when you schedule things without asking my availability first. Can you please explain what went wrong so we can prevent it from happening again?" that is how you GROW as well.

People self-diagnosing for attention just infuriates the 💩 out of me. As a bipolar person, it’s no joke. My doctor said I “showed signs” as well, but waited an entire year because he wanted to see me in a manic episode. Even going through my history and the medications that made things worse (like SSRIs) he still wanted firm confirmation. Mental disorders and mental illness can be deadly and incredibly hard to live with, including for loved ones and caregivers. Medication for mental illnesses is SERIOUS and not cheap. From what I was told by my psychiatrist, it’s incredibly rare for a child or teen to be diagnosed with bipolar because 1: hormones and changes in the body as well as a still-developing mind can make anyone coocoobananas and it’s dangerous and reckless to give someone brain-altering chemicals while their brain and body is still trying to figure life out.
2:most people don’t actually start exhibiting real signs of mental illnesses such as bipolar and schizophrenia until their 20s-30s.

A couple things about the sleep apnea: first, you do not need to be officially tested to be diagnosed with sleep apnea. A patient of her size with her sleep issues would be diagnosed just based on those symptoms. Which it sounds to me like that’s what he doctor told her.
Secondly, during a major surgery like a hysterectomy, your breathing is assisted thru an oxygen mask because most people would stop breathing after being under heavy sedation for a prolonged period. So no, that’s not a valid point to say “well my breathing was fine during that surgery.” A d&c is different - it’s a much shorter procedure which usually does not require a breathing tube.

I have severe obstructive sleep apnea and I went under anesthesia for 4 surgeries in 2020. Not once was it an issue because they place breathing tubes in your mouth/ nose and BREATHE FOR YOU.

Hey Salty, health care worker here. Actually, one of the anesthesiologist or CRNA main jobs, if not their most important task, is respiratory management. So it definitely didn’t go unnoticed. What probably happened was that she had a D&C under epidural or spinal anesthesia and was put in a “twilight sleep”, which is a way they can kind of sedate someone without having to take complete control of their airway with intubation. She probably had this type of anesthesia and the anesthesia provider noticed she was apneic and had to intubate her to oxygenate her because she stopped breathing on her own during the procedure.
I had the twilight sleep done twice when I went for my spinal shots. They just did a saline drip IV, then just used a syringe in the IV port. I liked that because I wasn't too groggy and out of it afterwards.
Although the shots did absolutely nothing and was eventually followed up with three back surgeries at various points in the last ten years. 😣😵💫

The ring controversy was never about whose *money* was used to buy them. Amber initially made it seem like Beck bought them in secret to surprise propose, and that she had no idea it was happening. But then it turned out Amber picked them out and physically bought them herself so she knew all along. A lot of people also think she kinda forced Beck into proposing by buying the rings. Making it seem like it was about the money is manipulative.
I think a doctor may have told her she had “metabolically healthy obesity” and she ran with the “healthy” part.

It really depends on where you live. Wait times can be that bad, or even worse. But it's also possible she just isn't willing to look for other providers

In my own experience (and I live in a major metropolitan area), wait times for routine "checkup" appointments have been two months at the very longest. Personally, I don't think we can trust much of what Amber says.

so, my doctor must be super mean. I was super morbidly obese still am at 200 still working on it. Every single time i go to the doctor he says lose weight. He does answer question and support me in my weight loss but he hold the boundary of you arent healthy you are just holding off the fate every day. it does get better but with weight loss you need a medical team because so many issues that could change life
Yes, I am 10 kgs overweight and not even in the obese category but at my annual check-ups, the doctor always writes in her report to lose weight even when everything else comes back normal. I don't believe that any doctor would not say anything to a 33 year-old woman who is morbidly obese.

I was snarky and said something like so i am getting ear infections from my fat? he said well no, probably not but your immune system is compromised by your weight so long term yes your weight is contributing to not healing properly.

@Salty Crab, she would've been intubated for the hysterectomy and an anesthesiologist would've been monitoring her respiration, heart rate, blood pressure...hope that helps. D&C is much faster procedure than a hysterectomy and patient doesn't always need intubation.
's crazy she had the most heartfelt apology going off about protecting beck's dignity than she did lying about ... literally everything else. you're right, she should've taken /that/ "lie" to the grave; it's not as big of a scandal as she thinks it is. people go shopping for their own wedding ring w their spouse-to-be all the time. no one cares about who bought it, especially since it didn't matter in the end anyway.
