@@HueghMungus I'm sure you already know by now, but yes this glitch can in fact give you nearly any item or even directly any pokemon you want in the game, it just involves different areas of data being corrupted than in this video but still using the same pomeg berry glitch.

Just a PSA on a few things:
Werster (guy who discovered arbitrary code execution is possible with pomeg) says you only need to scroll up about 44 times to corrupt the bit for the win ticket. This will combat the glitch side effects by corrupting the smallest number of bits.
Your pomeg' d Pokemon's hp does not need to be at 0. Doing the glitch with ?34 HP works just as well.
If you go to the battle tower and ask to do the multi link battle and say no when asked to save (like the duplication exploit), the corrupted data in your PC will revert to what it was before the corruption

NUMBER ONE TRICK TO GET POKEMON AWAY FROM YOU (ZUBATS HATE THIS GUY) 100% REAL
a few tips before doing this glitch, clear box 1 and 2 because only these boxes can corrupt. also always check your bag before saving again, maybe your TMs etc are gone. holding up for 17 sec is already enough. getting latias or latios on southern island is random. sometimes the fly point to the pokemon league is greyed again so you have to surf there again, that can actually be prevented by fighting a specific trainer but i forgot which one it was. lastly if you have a pal emerald and plan to unlock farway island and the deoxys island via pomeg glitch you should unlock them first otherwise you'll lose your advanced battle frontier trainer card.
PS: i forgot to mention, even if your box 1 and 2 is empty you can get an invisible bad egg in box 1 slot 1 or slot 30, to get rid of it easy just take 2 pokemon at the same time via select and put them above the bad egg and its gone.

Kuzio hey i got a latias on southener island after i choose latias as a roamer in emerald, why did that happend? I saved the game but i wonder if i can do it again and i don't know if i can get a second ticket or something to get latios? On that note i tried to record mixing the eon ticket from emerald to sapphire and did not work i tried to change the link cables but nothing worked, why?

TheGaboefects like i said its random if you get latias or latios and no there is no different option besides starting a new game or just not saving before encountering latios/latias.
record mixing with sapphire/ruby or emerald should work. why it didnt work ? i dont know, the ingame flag should be set so i guess you did something wrong when record mixing. i can tell you for sure that you can record mix with other games.

AndreLeonardo getting the deoxys event requires way more work than this here and i mean way way more work. just check yt for the glitch but i can tell you right now you'll need a gold badge in the pyramid battle frontier thingy and much more. setting this glitch up can easily take 10 hours

What would happen if you used a pomeg berry on Shedinja? Could you skip the whole getting poisoned and running around til 1 hp nuisance that way? 🤔
@@LRM12o8 Shedinja is hard-coded to always have exactly 1 health point. Whether it has 0 HP EVs or 252, it will always have 1 HP.
The Pomeg glitch exploits the fact that a Pokemon's current HP is reduced if it has its HP EVs reduced. CONVERSELY, this also requires a Pokemon whose HP is *increased* when it *gains* EVs in HP, which is... pretty much every Pokemon. However, since giving Shedinja HP EVs doesn't increase its maximum HP, *removing* HP EVs also doesn't actually do anything. As a result, it's impossible for Shedinja to reach 0 HP with Pomeg Berries.
If the concept of Effort Values (or why Shedinja isn't affected by HP EVs) is confusing, I would recommend doing some research on the concept. Not only is it recommended to have at least a vague understanding of how Effort Values work to aid in the setup of Pomeg-induced Arbitrary Code Execution, it can also just be *fun* learning the technicalities of glitches - such as why one simple berry can completely destroy the game.
@@LRM12o8 Shedinja's health is always at 1, EVs do not change that. So using a pomeg berry wouldn't do anything unfortunately.

Some additional info:
- The pokemon in boxes 1 and the first rows of 2 will ALWAYS get corrupted, so you should get everything important away from there
- You can easily set up this glitch with a Shuppet which has some HP EVs, an uneven number of HP and Curse, because then you can use curse twice and the Shuppet will always land on 1 HP
- if you want to save before attempting the glitch, save before the first battle and before depositing the third pokemon, because if you save afterwards you might irreversibly corrupt your save data. So save with the three pokemon in your party, when the first pokemon has 1 HP and before the first battle, don't save afterwards until you've done the corruption successfully
I tried to get me a Lugia and Ho-oh via glitzer popping as it already worked out with Jirachi, Droxys and Mew! But whenever i want to hatch an Lugia or Hooh egg it turns out to be a "??" Pokemon.

Same thing happened to me but instead of money, it gave me infinite master balls, rare candy, carbos, and revives. Sadly the master balls are useless because I can’t find wild pokemon anymore for some reason

I once left my starter at the daycare to make it stronger and couldn’t get it out (because I had a full party) and ended up restarting my save to get a new starter. Then I didn’t put any Pokemon in the daycare anymore because I thought the old lady would steal them lol

Uhhh because I really like Pokemon Emerald and nobody sells the ticket any cheaper? Before I saw this video my options were either pay $60 for a used one, $150 for a mint condition Nintendo Power #173 magazine, or game shark which could brick my game. I've got 2 Emeralds so I can just use the dummy one for the glitch and reap the benefits on my main. I think I made the right move.

To anyone who might find this useful, after the corruption when you’re checking ur items, there’s a decent possibility that you’ve corrupted a sellable item to where you can sell an infinite source for infinite cash!! Like two cool glitches in one! And I also learned that you can get all ur berries back by finding an npc to give u a berry. When you try to pick one from soil it won’t show up and it’ll still show no berries in ur bag.

There's a possible chance that Emerald might be nearly as, if not exactly as fucked as the Gen 1 games as far as glitch abuse.

It works out just worked for me. After a few trial and errors here's the best solution to lose little to nothing in terms of items and Pokemon.
1. Move all Pokemon out of boxes 1 and 2. Doing this glitch with turn them into bad eggs in these boxes.
2. Any TMs or berries you don't want to lose, store them in the PC and/or have a Pokemon you've moved hold an item.
I've noticed some of the items do so get glitched in the PC so that's that but it's better then getting deleted. Unfortunately you can't store HMs nor have a Pokemon hold them. If you do this mid game or even post game just make sure all HMs are taught to Pokemon if you want to use them after the glitch. Happy glitching

It's best to do this on a throwaway file, catch the eon pokes and trade them to your main file. Bad eggs are basically a guarantee that your file will inevitably corrupt especially this volume of them. I had a file with 3 and it was enough to eventually make the game speed spike and anything that requires decent movement becomes impossible when that happens.
Best way to do this would defo be to copy your main safe file to your PC, doing the glitch in an emulator and when successful, transferring that savefile to a supercard & trading the Pokémon to your main file.
That's how I would do it.
If I managed it without corrupting any pokemon, items and 0 bad eggs should I be safe?
Ill never forget the day after weeks and weeks of waiting for my middle schools library to stock the new gamepower mag with the eon ticket inside. Oh man I wish I still had it.
You can easily get rid of bad eggs at the Battle Frontier. Do the cloning glitch "backwards". Save w/ the eggs in your party and then place them in the box.

@@charon_cmlxix9458 there's a glitch in emerald that allows you to clone pokemon using the battle frontier pc box. The way you do it is you save with the pokemon you want to clone in your pc and your party empty. After saving, you grab the pokemon you want to clone from your pc and then go talk to the clerk. The clerk asks if you want to save the game. Say yes and then before you save do a soft reset. You should now have the pokemon you grabbed from the pc in both your pc and your party. The way it works is it remembers the pc from your save but your party from when you talk to the the clerk. So as I said. Save with bad eggs in your party, put them in the box, talk to the clerk, say yes to saving (but at this point don't save), soft reset and you'll notice you no longer have the bad eggs you had when you saved neither in your party nor the pc.
You might want to look up a tutorial on the cloning just in case if you didn't get it from my explanation
If I perform this glitch and I realize the game's messed up or there was a very undesired effect (not having saved during the whole glitch), can I just reset the game to go back to before I performed the glitch without any consequences? Or will the effects remain regardless if you saved or not? I'd like to do this glitch, but my save file is around 13 years old and I have a lot of nice Pokemon (including shinies and some competitive) and I don't want to risk it if the glitch is very harmful. Bit late, but if you're planning on doing this, know this:
Pokemon in box 1 & 2 will pretty much always be corrupted, so simply move all your pokemon away from box 1 & 2 (Like 13-14 if you want to be safe).
There could be weird side effects, you never know since you're corrupting stuff. A notable example would be the deletion of berries and tm/hms.
If I were you, I'd probably play it safe and just use another copy of Emerald, and mix records, but it's fairly safe and you shouldn't run into to many problems if you're prepared. Also, you might be able to put tms and berries in your PC, so you (might) be able to save em.

When I was trying to do this glitch, on one of my tries, the pokemon encounter rate was set to 0 and I was unable to encounter any pokemon in the wild making it impossible for the glitch to ever occur again. Yeah, this glitch surely does things...

Question, you said you can mix records for the ticket on other games? If I do this on my Emerald, than mix records with a Sapphire, start a new non-fucked up save on Emerald, than mix them again, will the clean Emerald save get the ticket?
Banette and Dusclops(?) work better since 2 curses drop you to 1 health. Hold it for 13ish seconds to avoid the issues. Or easier i found when the background first turns blue. Tried it everytime and got it on the first try.

On my God I actually managed to get it without ANYTHING corrupting. No bad eggs, no TMs missing, no berries gone, and I could still fly to everywhere!! I'm even using an Emulator so I can just get everything back.
It worked!! I did It on a Spanish cartridge, took about 6 tries but I finally have my Eon ticket! Thank you so much, I dreamed about something like this when I was a kid

Just to confirm, you CANNOT mix records with another game to pass the eon ticket to using this glitch unfortunately. I've tried searching the internet and don't see a way currently to do this. You need to set the Eon Ticket flag and not just the item in order to mix records

The bad egg was a anti piracy check on emerald sapphire and ruby if you pirated the game back in the old days this would eventually happen but doing glitches did not also cause it to appear cheating devices sometimes flipped the triggers too so if you had a gameshark back in the day or action replay it would be advised not to use it too often as each time you used a cheat it would have a chance of triggering this too however this was the final mainline pokemon game to have this in the game (some spinoffs like pokemon mystery dungeon had this feature but it was long since retired) though i did learn one intrusting aspect of emerald ruby and sapphire how Nintendo had these areas secretly locked away and eventually would be open to play though via an event technically you could visit any part of the game without going to an official event as long as you knew how to glitch in the items as shown in the video though a safer way to get the eon ticket would be to cheat it into your save file (though remember what i said previously it may not always but does have a chance of making a bad egg appear so understand the risks and check your boxes if you decide to use a cheating device backups are allways advised) lastly bad egg does make an appearance in later gen games but dosent give the same effect as it does in emerald
Pokemon emerald doesnt have anti-piracy, just certain anti-cheat measures.
@@thealbinotadpole2878 pretty much the same thing nintendo put in the bad egg system to combat those who did not pay for the game and in a way to punish cheaters emerald was way ahead of its time especialy the event items it was like dlc dorment in the game and we only knew about it when nintendo announced the event datamineing wasent really a thing back then so we were in the age of rumour and speculation on alot of pokemon stuff

Yeah, but you need to do several dangerous glitches to get Ho-oh and Lugia. At the very mistake you make, the game willbe corrupted forever if you didn't sabe before starting the glitch

I honestly wish I could hold on to some of my childhood interests such as pokemon because of how it was so fun but those interests just keep slowly fading away automatically time after time.

I have a question. What is the worst case scenario while attempting to do this glitch? Like will it just cost me a save file or total cartridge retardation?
In all probability, just a save file.
For this, I would prefer the ereader, but then for navel rock and birth island, the glitch seems to be the only way to get the events and need to first play the game in a way that once we trade the event pokemon into another game we can then make a new game that would be clean from things like bad eggs.
But you know since he can clone pokemon.. if you do the order in reverse, insteasd of cloning, it would "delete" the bad egg. But then, would it "actually" delete/clean the bad egg's effect from the game? i wonder

You do realize that you can (also) save as you approach 1HP, so you can reset if you overshoot with the poison, right?
You don't need to if you just check frequently

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you have to make it to post-game Emerald and choose which coluor of pokemon (red or blue) you see on TV? What would happen if you did it before hand? Would it automatically be a Latias still?

When I use the pomeg berry my Swampert's HP falls exactly to 0. It's level 55 and I've used it since the start of the game. Any ideas?

I'm considering getting a second copy of emerald just for glitches but then what's the point of doing the glitch I could just catch the other lati but I always love glitches
There are other uses to the pomeg glitch like obtaining jirachi, celebi, mew, etc. There are also other glitches that you can do to obtain other things.

Finally, a glitch that works
Okay, through some extensive glitzer popping I got myself an eon ticket.
I had to get some new berries and buy some new TMs to make their menus work again since some items got some unearthly amounts but...
Aside from that there are seemingly no side effects.

I already caught the roaming Latias in hopes of getting Latios on the southern island but instead, it’s another Latias...
Any ideas what could help?
I'm trying to do this myself, and I can't seem to get the ticket. Did you follow the video? Also, I'm not sure why it wouldn't get the other roamer. I assume it's because the ticket you glitched in was exactly that, glitched in a way that it would only produce the Latias.
It seems so, there are either 2 tickets, based on whether you choose Latias or Latios or the data which determines which one you get got corrupted.
Anyway, yeah, just follow the tutorial and you will succeed eventually!
I personally got the ticket after glitzer popping for around 40 seconds.
