Maybe Elon would be able to tell you his plan if you stopped interrupting him. My goodness this interviewer sounds ridiculous!
Yeah, shame you interviewer 🤮
Interviwer has problem with listening what is the point to interrupt ??? Please let Elon speak
He's ridiculous because he's British, he sounds like all the other British who interupt
It's not the interviewer that sounds ridiculous, why is it in a one horse race Americans would bet on the wrong horse? Stop pretending Elon is clever, or maybe to most rednecks he might be.

If you opened up a homeless shelter, I would work for free for you. Yes I have experience. I’m retired. I live in Sacramento. I raise six kids and I’m a Nana to 12. I would love to be a part of a homeless community that helps people learn their skill sets and you have to be moving in a positive direction. If your only skill set is daycare than your part of the daycare so other people can go work we get close to help people dressed for work. I’ve got so many good ideas from raising six children on one income
Three of my four boys serve this country to our disabled vets, so my heart and passion is with those looking for something better knowing they deserve more, but not knowing how to get it just needing love and support
Sounds like you should worry about the 6 kids you're raising 🤷♂️
I'll work for free too.

Letting homeless people move into a building next to where your employees work is a terrible idea.

Not many men with his crazy level of success that still managed to stay a good person with conviction and integrity.. Elon is a patriot
What good did he ever done?? Talk about having a shelter is almost as good as having one , right??
Do you mean calling a professional diver a pedophile? Challenging Putin in combat over the fate of a nation? Ruining twitter? Stoking division between our political parties? Supporting politicians who mounted a coup?
Please throw in some more examples, I'm sure I've only hit the biggest highlights.
@jamesmurphy449 @babajaga158,
please get some help
What does being a patriot have to do with conviction and integrity? You can be patriotic independent of those things (MAGA mindless patriots) and you can have conviction and or integrity without being a patriot. I have never thought of Musk as a patriot (love of country, which is an old fashion thing to be in this modern time of being able to travel to parts of the world as convenient as people 50 years ago did to leave their state). Musk thinks FAR BIGGER than patriot. He’s more of a world citizen than that tiny box of Patriot. Musk is the epitome of conviction! He rates only average at integrity. Which is OK. He makes up for most shortcomings with conviction. I do think he is a good person but he has a lot of flaws so I don’t think he’s a model for goodness. But he’s about average for being good but has access to more resources than average. For example, if he was very good, he’d have applied his conviction and found a way to successfully open a homeless shelter rather than complain how he got blocked by building management. And now he postures like he’s a very good person but a victim of building management just like every other better than average good American. And for goodness sakes, he took over an AV company and against all odds made it amazing. And he successfully is launching rockets and communication satellites into space with a brand new company. Then he comes here and says how “people are dying and something must be done” (people are always dying, we have limited lifespans) and “got blocked by building management”!? That was an average Americans answer to a problem for average people.
He’s definitely not trying to save the homeless, but just using words to blame someone else. Which is OK because if he doesn’t want to save the homeless, he doesn’t have to. But he shouldn’t enrobe himself with “SF is a mess” and “I tried to fix the city because I care” when in fact he didn’t care that much. You see? That’s not high integrity or willpower. Again, I’m OK with that. He doesn’t need to solve every problem. He’s not mother Teresa, he’s a businessman. Let’s not throw around words like patriot, good, integrity, and willpower without being careful to think about what’s really happening.
Peace.
@@lancerkind What kind of patriot has three passports? Musk, like all billionaires, always hedges his bets. He has *two fallback nations* to count on. He can afford not to have patriotism.

Feb 24th, Putrid invaded Ukraine.
Feb 26st Elon Musk activated StarLink over Ukraine and delivered 100's of Base receivers to the Ukrainian military.
Shortly after, Elon said he activated StarLink so that the Ukrainian people would have access to phone service and Internet.👈This is important. There can be many potential legal ramifications for a private individual in Musk's position for helping a Foreign military power.
Musk new full well this would be used by the Ukrainian military, but he also new they would make it available to the civilians. This gave Elon Musk full Plausible Deniability. With a nod, nod, wink, wink.
Months later, Ukraine asked Musk to activate StarLink for the Crimea region for military use. He declined. In the Crimean region, he had no Plausible Deniability. No unoccupied civilian Ukrainians there.
Eventually, the U.S. DOD signed an agreement with StarLink to provide activation in both Ukraine and Crimea
From that point, all liabilities fall to the U.S. Government. Musk no longer needs worry about legal repercussions nor Plausible Deniability.
And this all cost Elon Musk over $200 million dollars out of his own pocket.
Since this all took place, at least 4 ruZZian Oligarchs have strongly urged that someone should "UNALIVE" Elon Musk.

What do you think happens. ???
Big oil and pharma companies give donations to certain people, just out of kindness ???
Politicians have an agenda.
They're power hungry, thieves, that get kickbacks for allowing certain things.
Do you really think it's in our best interest to invent all these drugs, pharma along with doctors shove down our throats.
Fauci is a great example.
I'm no expert, and know very little about most things. But, I've always been able to read between the lines, notice all the BS, and hidden agendas behind everything.
If I'm interested in something, or get curious....
I dig and dig...
Research the subject as much as possible, before coming to a conclusion.
I read the positive and negative sides of the subject..
I read what they claim, I read what conspiracy theorists claim.
Then, I pur it all together, find what the real truth is.
Mostly, its a combination of truth and lies.
Mostly, both sides are right.
Both sides twist the truth, to fit thier purpose.
There is no denying Big money runs our government.
There's no denying politics is a game of chess.
Yes, there are great politicians out there.
Ones who truly care about us, about our country.
But, once they get in office, they see the only way to get anything done, is to compromise.
The scariest thing, and I've always said this, always believed this. ...
Our government is getting rid of the middle class. We are becoming communists.
We ware becoming a dictatorship.
I don't know enough about it all, or what you call it.
But, this country, our politicians are NOT putting us, the citizens 1st..
They run for office to become rich, become powerful, to make connections.
Our founding fathers gave us the right to bare arms, so we could stop this from happening. .
They knew sooner than later, politicians would get greedy.
Greed is human nature.
Our constitution was written to prevent this.
Little by little, the government is taking over everything.
Monopolies used to be illegal.
In the 80s and 90s, law prevented monopolies.
In the recent past, monopolies are taking over everything.
And politicians are getting paid to allow it. The economy is out of control.
Sure, war and covid made the cost of everything sky rocket.
But, do you think for one second, any of the companies out there will lower their prices, once their costs go down. ???
Hell no. Why would they.
Oil profits are higher than they've ever been.
I can't spend hours explain everything.
But, pur government is out of control.
And back to the original point.
Elon is doing more for us than anyone has.
Some of his ideas may be crazy.
But, he is thinking in the right direction.
He could solve a lot of our problems.
Giant solar farms, giant wind farms, could supply more than enough electricity for the country.
But, the oil companies loose money.
Politics has always been tied to oil.
Just like pharma....
Research Dr Fauci.
He owns patents, or has investments in every pharma company that owns the drugs they're forcing on us.
He was the one who decided what companies got government grants.
He made money by pushing drugs that were never verified. Never researched enough.
They still don't know how to stop covid.
Well...
They do, but it's not in their best interest.
They make more money by "treating" a disease, not " curing" it.
Everything we buy now is made to break or wear out, after a certain time.
Look up the history of light bulbs.
There were 3 or 4 major manufacturers.
They DID find a way to make bulbs last a long time.
The major players in the industry got together, had a meeting, and signed an agreement, that said no one can manufacture bulbs that last a long time.
It's called " planned obsolescence "...
Look that phrase up.
Everything we buy is made to wear out, after a certain period of time.
There has been more than 10 inventions, just the major inventions, that could have given cars over 50 mpg. That was back jn the 70s.
What happens when cars get 50mpg ???
Big oil looses money ! ! !..
Any major invention, that could save the environment, that could save us, the consumers money, has been bought out, buried in a cave, and never been allowed to reach the public.
With all the technology out there now....
Your telling me they can't make a simple washer or dryer last more than 10 years ???
It's cheaper..... not even cheaper....
It's more profitable for them to build a weak, flimsy washer, that constantly breaks, that wears out so fast, it don't last long.
Then, charge so much for parts. Where it's not worth repairing anymore.
We're better off buying a new one.
Planned obsolescence. ....
90% of the people in this country are living in an illusion.
We are being lied to, being conditioned, to fit whatever agenda the rich want.
My mind just went blank...
I'm rushing to leave for work now.
I got stuck wasting time on the dam internet again...
There's thousands of things the public should know.
Important facts about our government, the oil co.panies, and all big business.
They won't put that on our local news..
They don't want us to know.
Instead...
All we hear about is mass shootings..
How guns are bad for us.
How we must spend billions, sending money to Ukraine and Isreal.
What about our own people. ???
There is so much deception around us. I can't keep track of it.
Turn off you TV sets. Stop believe what the news tells us, and do your own research .
Don't just give it.
As of last month, our great, our so called free
Country, passed a law, and now sensord the interent.
Just like China and Russia.
This country is being destroyed. .our freedoms are being taken away.
And our very government forces transgentmder on us ??
Forces racism on us.
Government wants us fighting each other, so we don't see what's really going on around us.
Government had plants in the crowd on Jan. 6th...
Government forced us back jnto racism.
Government let all these illegals in, to give us something else to Talk about.
Government made Covid happen.
This country makes me sick.
I used to be proud of the USA.
Now... we're the laughing stock of the world.
And 90% of pur people don't see what's really going on.
Invent ways to charge Trump.
Dig and dig for evidence he broke the law, just to keep him from running again ???
While we have the definite truth. That Biden was involved in his sons business.
That Biden used his power as a vice president to make his family millions of dollars.
Whether you love or hate Trump....
Is keeping him from running for president again, an "American " thing to do ?
How can we invent ways to charge one person, and ignore the fact that another broke the law...
I don't care who you like....
That's just plain wrong. ..
Ok......
I'm gonna make up a lie that your a child molester, while I hide evidence that I cheated on my final college exams.
Put all the attention on you, so I can graduate.
Do everything I can, make false statements, twist the facts, and put everyone's attention on you...
Real "American" isn't it ???
That's the type of country you want to live in ?
Not completely misleading

But it starts by him meaning we'll.
I'm just going by what I know. Which isn't everything.
And that's my opinion.
I'm not saying you, or anyone else is wrong.
As Americans, we should be able to disagree on something, yet turn around and have a beer together.
The government and the news has created all this hatred between us.
Democrats and republican can no longer be friends.
We all have the right to say what we want, believe in what we believe in.

I love Elon, he has a beautiful heart ❤❤❤
C-R-I-N-G-E alert ...
Every person in his situation, their biggest problem is people don't trust them.
I wonder why people don't trust them... Experience?
Nice good to hear and l would move out of San Francisco
I spent last week in a park in Los Angeles talking to 3 homeless guys. It was amazing.
They sit there all day and wait for someone to feed them. They smoke cigarettes all day.
They asked me if I want to smoke pot with them. They complain about how the govt won’t pay them. They all just happen to lose their ID.
I like Elon….but notice the way he HAS THE CONVERSATION without revealing any information. It’s a talent!
😈
He said "why not" and the building owner (typical of a wealthy Californian)said ... "Not in my backyard"
But yet they ARE in their backyard. They see the homeless DAILY.
The building owner has to worry about the following:
1. Will they trash the place? The odds are very, very high.
2. Once you let them in, will it be possible in this lifetime to ever get rid of them? Cali law makes eviction an incredibly long process.
@@WildBikerBill Have a think about the solutions of what you’ve just said? Will they trash? What about putting bins and signs saying “please use the bins?” About will they ever leave? How about set up programmes for the homeless to help them with jobs etc so they can leave and not go back to the building? There’s people who want to solve homelessness and there’s people who turn a blind eye to it. And most of those fortunate people are part of the problem tbh.
@@coreyjennings4910 The problem is on all sides. Many homeless don't want to give up addictions.
exactly...
Elon is the man. We love his compassion for everyone who's homeless.
Oh shit, i need to pay my rent. Thanks for the reminder.
My man.
It's not about giving shelter to homeless people but the liabilities (drugs, crime, theft, etc) they bring with themselves.
Sorry but everything you mentioned is already there they already brought it.
@@patriciasalas4210 Imagine having to repair, rebuild a building because homeless are a liability. Hotels that took homeless in had to get money from cities to repair and clean post pandemic when the homeless were kicked out. They destroyed the places they were given because that's how they live. They don't own shit because they destroy shit. Unless Elon wanted to open a mental facility with hospital beds to help rehabilitate instead of let homeless go on living uncivilized lives with their mental illnesses -- building owner was right. He had to protect his asset.
@@delaineyjohnson8238If Elon is renting the place then he would naturally take on the liability for any damage.. He understands that for many people the first step to recovery is actually having a roof over your head and some safety and privacy - these are still human beings regardless of how degenerate they may be.
@@DavidSid Nah...bringing their tents is not rehab or recovery. Just live like you're living under a roof. lol
@@delaineyjohnson8238I don't think he means that, it's so they don't get knicked leaving it outside
Thank you Elon for caring about others!! I appreciate your kind gestures. It’s too bad you can’t turn it into a homeless shelter. Hopefully this will change!!
My daughter worked at a place that hired a man on a ‘work release’ program. He got upset one day, threw a physical tantrum, scaring everyone, besides making the evening news. I had no idea my daughter was working in the same business as a prisoner. 🤷🏽♀️
I like the way he says "we" when really he's talking about government or agencies. He sees himself as part of the solution ❤
Put your money where your mouth is! Buy some real estate for the homeless if you really want to help them. "My landlord won't let me" is a bunch of BS. With all your resources you could build a city for the homeless...You are so full of shit Elon.....Spend some of your money and help be a part of the real solution.
I see him part of the solution too, so far
Musk is tricky! He'll have much to do with end times!!
I’m living in my car over an argument, and I think Elon is the man. Most of us are just one paycheck away from being where I am, and it easy to be condescending when it’s not you. Thank God for people who see the forest for the trees.

I love Elon Musk! He seems like a sweet kind hearted man!
God sent gentleman!!! May there b more good ones who cares for HUMANITY! !! God bless u EM & fly!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
That's one of the signs of end times government prohibiting people to help other people
Thats not the government prohibiting it, its the building owner. its like renting your house out and saying, no, you cannot let 50 strangers sleep there daily.
But the government is definitely not helping people by refusing to stop the crime. That's because the corrupt people within the government make too much money OFF OF THE CRIME.
@@turtlecat3507,its nothing like that. Its the world's richest man offering to rent a building for the homeless. Not a house. An industrial building.
@@blueyedevildarkness7649 Right, but the point is the landlord of the industrial building said no, likewise, if you rented a house (or industrial building) the landlord is very unlikely to say yes, as most landlords wouldn’t allow 50 random strangers into your (leased) house.
So, its not the government saying no, its the landlord, because most landlords do not want 50 or more strangers sleeping in their house OR industrial building. It is practically the same if not even worse in an industrial building, as it is more expensive to maintain.
Dont forget all those years ago there was no room at the inn for a pregnant woman about to give birth

COBGRATULATIONS !
Thank you, my Friend.
Elon is amazing. Even though I have worked my entire life. I now feel closer to homelessness than ever in my 57 years.
What about besides just a shelter a mental and drug rehabilitation program and job training?
The SF homeless are there so that they can use drugs easily. Not so that they can be forced into rehabilitation programs.
Job training also requires that people actually want it and commit to it.
There are pretty cheap coding boot camps in SF - even free ones (that demand that you work hard, after which they’ll take a percentage of your first year’s salary)
@@Leto2ndAtreidesone thing I don't understand, why someone, brave enough, and smart enough, doesn't go after the cause, instead of effect of using drugs...that's what I don't understand. From 7-8 billion people, somebody must've been, even once, thinking about it, otherwise we'll wait for God to save us, because we're incapable and truth is we are nothing without God. @@AWAVAVAActually, there would be no need for shelters,if there was a massive building campaign to restore the housing stock back to pre-1980 levels. Homelessness isn't normal, and back in the 60's and 70's, there was virtually no homelessness, and I was born and raised in California, Los Angeles, so it was a better time for renters back then for sure ! If Elon can spearhead this, to begin with looking for land or unused office buildings, and turn them into housing all over the country, it will end homelessness.. Because not ALL homeless people are using drugs, or alcohol,or mentally ill. High rents are a problem for most people now.
@@JulieSevelson-nb9nj I agree with you. Increasing the housing supply would end up helping a ton of people as well, including the homeless. I've heard building materials are a significant factor, but I think zoning is the main issue in some places. As for Elon, I'm nearly certain he has already considered tackling that problem, but he only has so much attention to spare and there are only so many hours in a day. I think he's focused on the big picture. There's a chance somebody else will do something to solve the housing issue here in the US, but nearly zero chance somebody else will take on getting humanity to mars.
Although, in a way, he is helping to lower rent, albeit many many years from now. People leaving to live on Mars will make homes cheaper on earth! 😁
The frankness with which he speaks is so revealing of his character. It's so refreshing!
Homelessness and crime mostly come from lack of economic opportunities. If he would actually care, he would be lobbying for higher taxes on top bracket, mandatory profit sharing for big companies to workers, unions, limited ceo stock options pay, tax on stock buybacks and government led social benefits for healthcare/mental healthcare/unemployment benefits/assistance.
Dont get me wrong, government spending is usually inefficient and could be done much cheaper but I still would trust them much more than todays hypercapitalistic corporatocracy. Even if private insurance and other services do it more efficiently it still costs more for taxpayers since every single private enterprise is all about profits and getting as much as they can. And the government buys those services from them...
Shelters are not the answer getting people jobs and replacing credentials is what needs to be done.
Jobs have nothing to do with the homeless issue. Get drugs off the streets.
problem is when you don't have a home how do you get a job?
Homelessness is a multi layered issue. You have mentally ill, battered, drug addicted and disabled. In various combinations or have all of the challenges Some are youth and some are seniors and the rest are inbetween. Shelters don't work. You need secure and safe accommodations that provide all of the needs for them. If we don't start making this a priority, it will continue to get much, much worse as we are already seeing in North America, Western Europe and other parts of the world. We need to as a society put the human being first ahead of money and profit. It is our destiny to do so as we evolve as a race.
That would be the individuals responsibility.
"Give them jobs" isn't a solution.
There's no shortage of jobs.
There's no shortage of handouts.
There's a shortage in ambition and qualifications.
@Friendofstfrank the home usually comes after the job.
Pretty sure everyone that has a residence, first had a job to pay for said residence. Everyone I know, at least.
