What I noticed most in this interview is that Elon is solution focused and Andrew is problem focused. Every questions from Andrew was a problem, and every answer from Elon was a solution. We need more people like Elon in the world. Amazing guy.

This was my first time watching an Elon Musk Interview, I only ever knew what he looked like. After watching , I’m now a tremendous fan and admirer of his brilliance.

He has also over-inflated and misled regarding stock valuations, in fact he paid a 20 million dollar penalty to the SEC toward this end, he has been, as the interviewer said 'optimistic' regarding time-line estimates for self-driving cars. Etc. I sort of give him a pass there because much of that is likely out of his control...BUT not all of it. SOme of it is hyping something in the furtherance of his company. again - understandable but not really above board. Lastly, the idea he is a "free speech absolutist", as he has claimed, is simply ridiculous.

I see it differently. The first thing Elon says is "I've been friends with you (Andrew Sorkin) for 16yrs and I promised you I'd be here. That's probably the only reason I'm here." I agree with Elon. I also find fulfillment in making things work. I still remember watching America's first steps into space. I was a boy and I was excited and hopeful because of it. When it disappeared I became dumbfounded. When Elon appeared I found hope and something to look forward to again. I applaud him and understand him in his struggle to keep things straight at times. Standing up for yourself is what a man must do. Elon's history of making choices that support a better future is evident. I believe most of us on this planet are applauding him and will stand with him.
As a long term Tesla shareholder I wholeheartedly approve of Elon’s statements in this interview.

It’s refreshing hearing someone of his intelligence speaking their mind for the most part. Too bad our politicians are all lawyers and business majors. We need more politicians from the STEM disciplines and perhaps our government would be more productive and truthful.
We need fewer stem grads as politicians. Let stem grads do engineering and scientific inquiry and let lawyers do politics. Why run a car with square wheels? With exception to Elon musk, you'd be hard pressed to find a stem grad do well as a politician. Is just not their strength, just as software design isn't a lawyers strength.
