This car is marketed as an affordable crossover in the rest of the world except in our country! Every review of this car says so too. Even korean prices of this car (where ours come from as the company says) are also for that category. This car is supposed to be the same price range as the Nissan Kicks or Honda HR-V that's why it makes me scratch my head how they did the market research for pricing this.
Pricing of the Trax in the Philippines is similar to the ones available in Cambodia. Trailblazer LT and Premier are still available in the Philippine market
It will be more interesting if Chevrolet priced this Trax just around 1.1 to 1.3 million, better rival for the Chinese counterparts which offers more enticing features and more powerful than this.
I'm a loyal Chevy customer.. had a Cruze a few years ago, and currently on a Trailblazer Z71.. However, I feel that the Chevy dealership in the PH has changed drastically. You did the same with the Tahoe and Suburban, jacking up the price to exorbitant amounts. Was saving to buy the Tahoe but with the price changes, feels like I can only afford a 2nd hand now.
Right on point at 1.9mil sheesh just get a toyota fortuner instead or if the budget is around 1-1.3 m might as well buy a china car since the geely, cherry and changan are way more pocket friendly and also has advane tech.
Oh damn..its not even that unique... Teritory has the the same design Coolray is also similar HRV is also close to the design Chev is reaaaaaally trying to be a dick here.
Someone correct me if im wrong but is this a rebadged Chineese car, compared to the last one it doesnt look like anything Chevrolet could have come up with.
Any US version doesnt come with * rear charging ports * rear cup holders * rear air vents But damn the increase in price compared to the US market is not worth those 3 add ons. Looks handsome and better than the new territory though imo.
I think there are more than 3 differences... the 1rs in north america doesnt have the 8in digital driver dashboard (it use analog instead) and the side infotainment screen is 8in instead of 11in like the rs in this video. Could be even more stuff...
Too overpriced. This was the reason the Hyundai Kona and Honda HR-V failed to push the crossover SUV popularity in the past. Today, they're all the rage because there are so many options now, and there are crossover SUVs that cost below 1.4 million pesos that have more power and features than this. Too bad about the pricing because this looks really good.
Sa halagang 1.950M (if may pera ako) ay bibili nako ng Automatic variant ng Fortuner/Terra/Montero/MUX or yung new Toyota Zenix or even yung Mazda CX30
The thing I dislike about this brand is the Price! Such a deal breaker, too pricey for it's class and it doesn't hold its value for resale since it's most likely (most of their models) to be phased out before you can even finish the loan period.
Nice explanation on the engine. I had the impression, for its size, the engine is underpower. And you know what's the real grown up on this car - the door locks. Man, those are 70s door locks.
It's true. The infotainment system having no Apple Car Play is a deal breaker. But why do I feel a little discriminated? Caco usually do not mention a model having no Android Auto as a "deal-breaker." And for me it was literally a deal-breaker. That's the main reason why I chose the MG ZST over the Geely Coolray Sport Limited - the latter doesn't have Android Auto. Back to the Trax, this one has lots of deal-breakers. Compared to the competition, the Trax does not have 360 camera, let alone an adaptive cruise control, which is very useful especially since they mentioned going to Baguio, and it's supposed to be a "2024" model.
I dunno what TCCCI was smoking when they priced this but damn. They're really hell-bent on losing another brand. Maybe this is why I rarely see a Chevy on the road now...
That's for the bare LT variant without ADAS,without rear aircon vents and without ADAS GM Korea only exports the LS,Activ and 2RS Trax units to the Philippine and Cambodian markets.
not so thrilled about american brands.. my wife had a friend who had a chevy cruze(brand new)and in its 3rd year, it had an issue where it can't accelerate to 20KPH.. after chevy checked it.. it had issues with its ECU and had to be replaced.. fortunately it still had warranty(3 years/100,000 kms)so it was replaced free of charge.. she sold the car as soon as she got it back and now drives a honda..
The car looks good and nice color too. But the price...With how price-sensitive Filipinos are I think it wouldn't sell well unless your a big chevy fan.
NAKAKAHINAYANG TONG KOTSE NA TO. WE DESERVE TO SEE A LOT OF THESE ON THE ROAD ANG GANDA KSI. ALMOST PERFECT CROSSOVER. KSO I DOUBT MANY WOULD BUY DUE TO ITS PRICE.
When Caco mentioned that there’s no apple car play, I almost shut the vlog. This model is not even close to the new Territory given the engine, tech and price comparison.
Look here. US prices of 2024 Trax and it is sourced/imported from SK too. Shipping it to the US is even further than to PH lol. Grabe PH feeling 1st World+. Starting at: LS. $20,400 1RS. $22,100 LT. $22,300 2RS. $23,900 ACTIV $23,900
Someone really needs to check up on TCCCI. Their management is absolutely NUTS, thinking they can just slap on high prices on their cars. - 4M+ for a Chevrolet Camaro that doesn't even have a V8, compared to the Ford Mustang with a V8 being offered for less than 4M pesos - 7M+ for a Chevrolet Tahoe when they launched the vehicle with an ALREADY expensive price tag of 5M+ And now a mere Trax for 1.8M pesos? What are they thinking? Heck, what are they sm0king over there?
First Trax review I've seen that shows this vehicle with a center armrest for the rear seats, and air vents for the backseat passengers. Definitely not a U.S. model. But a good review. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Saw the Trax in Chevy Santa Rosa 😀 Ganda! ❤ Very nice design, very spacious ❤ But the price 😮 ... Chevrolet Ph, please lower the price (I can't afford it, but for those who want the Trax...).
I saw this car on an advert I think and thought it would be priced 1.4 or 1.5 at max. When I read online that it sells the base variant for 1.6M+ maaaaannn, wanted to drive something different from most cars but phew that tag. And to find out from Caco now that it's actually selling at P1.7M+ ... well hey, if you got money, you can get the honey.
Siguro kung prinice nila to na katulad ng territory, baka mas madami pa to sa gen 2 ng territory sa daan. kaso wala eh, gusto magpabulok ng mga kotse eh. 🤣
At almost 2m price tag, Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a better car, better value, better everything. It's not a big ask, it's insanity to even consider this.
Hi Im from South Texas, never seen your videos, Im here because Im thinking on buying a Trax for my daughter, here is one of the best bang for your money as a small SUV the top of the line 2RS fully loaded even with the roof crossbars and the mud flaps and the rubber mats costs $27,750 USD anyway Im subscribing to see of your videos, because you are Funny! just like Mat Watson, you are going to get far easy 1 million subscriber by the end of the year.... 15:45 very funny and natural good job
Can't agree that Trax doesn't look like anything on the road. The MG ZS looks similar to it, heck it looks so vanilla, it's as vanilla as any cross over can get. Compare it to the Territory which has a very broad hood that makes it look like an SUV, or Forester with its matured and functional looks. Think of it like this, if you remove Trax, Forester, and Territory's badges, and plop in the middle of a carpark filled with Chinese cross overs, you'd easily be able to pick out which is Forester and Territory, but Trax would blend so well with the cheap Chinese xvers.
A big No. trax RS here in US is just around 25k $ which i thought in the philippines would just sit around 1.4 M in php. Id rather choose a toyota corolla or mazda cx3
had my trax for about 3 weeks now, i have the base model out the door for around 21k, i have heated seats, remote start and features the base model normally wouldn’t have, you could say i got lucky to get most features a 1rs has but i have no regrets with the car, not only does it have amazing gas mileage but the overall feel and sensitivity in the car is unmatched. one thing in the video i saw which was untrue was the carplay, apple carplay is included in each version of this car
Great comments! Im thinking about getting a base Trax next month. My question to you.......Does your model have a rear seat armrest, and rear air vents, like the model that is reviewed in this video? He seems to be reviewing a non U.S. model. Thank you! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The price have no sense at all, not a hybrid vehicle, not a seven seater and a small engine matter as well. There are many car brands that offers same capability or styling but almost 500k cheaper.
Why the price?!! I checked the US version and the top spec is priced only at around 1.4m. It offers nothing to wow the consumers that is not already in the market and at much lower price. at that bracket it competing against mid spec SUVs and full Hybrids

🤭😁🤣... TCCI epic failure again ✔️
Over price for the 1.2 with 3 cylinders.
Other countries dont have train law
Exactly
It will be more interesting if Chevrolet priced this Trax just around 1.1 to 1.3 million, better rival for the Chinese counterparts which offers more enticing features and more powerful than this.
would contend mightily against those bang for buck Chinese crossovers surely.
Only a diehard Chev fan will buy that...
good luck finding parts for that one!
And the best part of this new Trax is...the price 😉. With the prices that they are asking, its another way of saying dont buy Chevrolet 😆😅😄
for real, its almost feels like they dont want to sell it
Add 100k more and you have 2.0 awd Subaru xv
You’re kidding? It’s not a Chinese car. It’s got all the tech and safety features so the price is justified.
@@jflrck141 lmao, have you seen the price of this car in other countries? no its not justified
@@jflrck141 dude Chinese cars have better tech and safety features vs this and more power too. Price is definitely NOT justified

You did the same with the Tahoe and Suburban, jacking up the price to exorbitant amounts. Was saving to buy the Tahoe but with the price changes, feels like I can only afford a 2nd hand now.
In other countries Trax is relatively cheap. Kinda weird that it is more expensive than a freaking SUV here in ph.
Chevy needs to replace its ph distributor, just like Hyundai with HARI.
Yup.
Right on point at 1.9mil sheesh just get a toyota fortuner instead or if the budget is around 1-1.3 m might as well buy a china car since the geely, cherry and changan are way more pocket friendly and also has advane tech.

WHOEVER PITCHED, AND APPROVED, THAT PRICEPOINT SHOULD BE FIRED. ONLY ILLOGICAL MIND WOULD BUY THIS CAR.
1.9m and it doesnt have a 360 cam? Nah.. Even if I have the money, I wont buy this thing.
looks great and very feature packed but my GOD is it expensive
Wow with the SRP, might as well go for the middle variant of an SUV than a compact SUV
Any US version doesnt come with
* rear charging ports
* rear cup holders

@@laxuscloud2495 HRV, Territory, Creta to name a few

Porntuner or Tagtag.
I'll go for Korean brands

1.8M lack of features, 1.2L and 3 cyl. Engine. No apple car play yeah that is a bit much for an crossover suv.
USD 20,000 only in the US

This will definitely be a flop just because of its price
Yes the owner will be having a unique car because he is the only one stupid enough to buy that at that price...
Love This Chevy
Never buy GM products!
Looks like the new GAC GS3 EMZOOM ....GAC is more affordable and got sharper look

Pricey, pass, ford territory better
I’d rather buy toyota cross top of the line much bette.
We should be this model but it becomes small than the previous year models ... then we changed to Ford Everest Tit..
i want some of what chevrolet ph are smoking!
HAHAHHAHAHA tucson na lng...

Saw the Trax in Chevy Santa Rosa 😀 Ganda! ❤ Very nice design, very spacious ❤
But the price 😮 ...
Chevrolet Ph, please lower the price (I can't afford it, but for those who want the Trax...).
Thanks for sharing. I'll be inclined to the older Honda CR-V still, and I'll be happy with it.
Financial Year for most businesses ends in the last day of June and starts at the first day of July... hence; 2024 . Just saying! 🙂
Should be below P1.5M for the RS variant. Unfortunately this will not sell..
That price point.. with that engine. Hell to the n*
Small low powered engine for that price? Lol
Cool. Do u know that the BowTie is a stylistic Swiss Cross ? It's bc Mr. Chevrolet was a Swiss that moved to the US...

1.8 M for a brand that has been plagued with reliability issues. yikes. No tnx.
For that price, a mazda cx-5 is waaayy better in all aspects.
Nice territory
So many better options than this… i thought the Trax would somehow give life to an already dying brand… i was wrong.. Chevy gonna stay dead

I can’t get an answer anywhere as to why the Trax is more expensive than the new Trailblazer in the PH.
Global models cost more because they comply with higher standards.

I love the car so much , great review and nice sunblock too 😄
The price is too much for its specs 5 seater 3 cylinder 1.3L gas for 1.8-9 ?really not worth it, if money is not an issue then go for it.
Best variants of the Trax are the LT and Redline
I'll wait for a 100,000 Peso cash discount for it
even with 150k discount it's not worth it. There are better choices in its price bracket that offers more
@garienza so? Your not the one who's buying it
Might as well buy a Subaru xv with that kind of price, and that xv is an awd
I know it's top of the line very reason why its expensive. But with that price, there are better options with better features.
Great..no cvt ever..love it..

add 40% if you use US car prices as basis
Because it is an import from Korea.

I think Caco missed disclosing about the sunroof?!
The price range of the car 😅 go get a china car instead or maybe a toyota fortuner. Love the review of the car but the price is way out of hand 😂.
The price is a deal breaker.Sad!
semi-loaded about 25,000 us dollers 20,000 £ once converted . wont happen here
Mas mura pa sa US tapos $ earner din sila dun. Dito sa pinas, peso earner na nga mas mahal pa Trax dito. 😂😂😂
Haha what a waste of money might just get a legit SUV with that lrice point. Nothing special really
WT*😱 at that price ill go with Crv cx5 Suba-XV or Fortuner Q ha ha🤣🔥
2 million for a front wheel drive chevrolet!? Chevrolet philippines needs to start firing people in that payroll
The pricing is completely wrong for the Philippine market !!!
Nice car, but at those prices, most folks will look elsewhere. Too pricey for what the car is.
if Daewoo is still making this chevy for the asian market then this chevy is RUBBISH... rubbish...
It is still a Daewoo underneath (GM Korea).
Does anyone know if the chevy Transverse suv, is available in Phils?
DoA due to that price.
The maker of the corvette and the camaro came up with this ? And tbh the price is too freakin high
