      I fully agree Sir. The TOTL Tracker is more expensive than the Coolray Sport but the former does not even have cruise control. Sooner than later, Chevrolet Phils. will need to offer huge discounts (say, P200+K) just for buyers to notice the Tracker.

    • @legaspichristiani5694
      @legaspichristiani5694 2 роки тому

      That is a possibility in the near future. But I'm of the opinion that despite that, many buyers still won't look since buyers at this segment can be choosy and would be willing to pay more so long as they get more from the car. Too bad.
      Just look at the new Terra and MUX. They realized that more and more are becoming premium buyers and want nicer interiors and more tech and they improved much over their predecessors.

    I recently made this purchase and have been enjoying it for a month now. Yes i agree normally at that price point it's not very competitive BUT due to a promo at our local dealership with bank financing, was able to get it at 19k dp 22k monthly. Which meant that it was now suddenly a really good option for me. That's probably the only reason i went for it.
    As for driving, it's a really pleasant experience. Keeping it on drive is smooth and the manual matic part of it i use for engine breaking on slopes. When you use it, "sluggish" is not what comes to mind but rather it feels "tighter" like i have more control over the acceleration. There are occasions to use that mode whenever i don't want the car to engage turbo on its own.
    As for the door lock button in the middle, i actually ended up liking it. Convenient for my wife to reach and lock. And to be honest we don't use it much. The doors autolock when you go on drive, and unlock when you are on park. The doors can actually be opened at anytime from the inside. That's the inly time we ever use the lock button when we have someone who's opened the car door from the inside -for safety.
    As for fuel efficiency. I am city driving in Cebu. I am getting around 1:14km last trip was 7L per 100kms. I find it quite fuel efficient. Lasts me a good 2 weeks for a full tank of gas (40-45L full tank). But then again this depends on how you drive which is precisely why i prefer having the autostop over the cruise control (there aren't a lot of long straight roads where i am). For a vehicle of its size it's actually quite efficient.
    There is one bug/ defect i experienced though.. the infotainment system suddenly blacked out... even the reverse cam couldn't be used. Did some research, it's a common problem among Chevys if the infortainment system gets too cold it happens. Just let it warm up again and it should return to normal.

      disclaimer: I live in Cebu. There's city traffic, but the distance between point A-B is obviously shorter.

Runs the same as it did when we first got it. I still stand by my first comments. I think either decision you make will be a good one. Kept reading MG ZS in this comment section. You guys don't know the deal for the ZS. I happened to own one and had to sell it immediately for almost 30% off with under 3k mileage. Reason, it was nothing but a fancy cheap vehicle. Granted the tracker is also Manufactured in China by SAIC as well, but the difference is, the MG ZS is really cheaper in terms of quality. If you check the groups of the ZS, you'll see people with 2 week old ZS having tech issues if not engine start issues.
    What many people fail to see is, while it really is cool to have a lot of tech and features in your car, it also means a lot of things can break. Now I test drove this comparing it to the ZS Alpha, this has a much behaved ride, the ZS is feels a bit the same but it has a more bounce to it. I like the more simple look of the Tracker and while it cost more than what it offers in Tech. I'd rather be the more human less tech kind of guy since I do not want headaches in the future when the fad becomes obsolete.

Everything else is lackluster, this is going to be dead on arrival. Comparo with other crossover please… By the way is Tracker made in China as well? Territory is actually is a steal but users review is alarming. Not sure it just because of its 1st launch. Coolray has the best tech and revew but how’s the support after out of warranty? Somehow VW Tcross is ok because of its uniqueness in and out. But some techs are missing and the engine is not even a turbo charge. So need your best comparo review please.

    you guys get shafted by that configuration. even here in ecuador where we usually get the crappiest versions of cars, we get the Tracker with the 1.2T with 130 hp and 190NM of torque. the 1.0 is way too small for that car, its fine on the Onix but not on Tracker.

    Chevy shall be aware that even here in PH, their cars are not competitive (both in pricing and record of reliability/aftersales support).
    They even claimed on their ads they were the MOST reliable car in US superior to Toyota/Honda/Ford.

      Yes, it's a different segment. The Corolla Cross is a Compact (C-Segment) CUV, the smaller end of the that is. The Chevy Tracker is in the smaller end of the Sub-Compact (B-Segment) CUV. The Tracker's competitors would be the likes of the Mazda CX-3, Kia Stonic, Hyundai Venue, Toyota Yaris Cross (if they end up offering it here) just to name a few.

    The only advantage it has, with most of its competitors, is its torque converter automatic, instead of a CVT or DCT.

    The problem lang talaga with Chevys are the maintenance and the parts. I can still remember my cousin telling me how he got headaches just changing the oils from his trailblazer sa case. Mahal!
