You guys have such a fun vibe/energy, this video is so delightful!! I 100% relate to being an intuitive writer, I've had phases where I tried to force myself to follow a schedule but it just made my writing worse loll
When you both brought up titles and naming the books I thought of two books both named malice where one is an epic fantasy by John Gwynne and Malice which is a sapphic retelling of sleeping beauty
what I would enjoy most about being a full time writer would be the ability to devote my energy into what brings me JOY! sometimes I get bummed out when I want to have the energy to spend time doing what I love, but am too drained from my full time job lol
Oh my gosh what a fun video! I work as a freelance photographer, and I def find that editing in different locations outside my house helps me stay way more productive. Y’all have such a fun vibe! Can’t wait to watch more!!
Love this video! It was so fun to hear you and Mic talk about writing and inspiration - also love the reminder to say things like "I'm just gonna write a little bit, no biggie, this isn't hard" next time I'm struggling 🥰
The advice Mic gave regarding picking a title even if it's similar is so important and so good. My mind in regards to titles changed when I googled Chloe Gong's These Violent Delights and saw that another book with the exact same title but in a totally different genre had come out literally two months before her TVD. As long as you're not deliberately stealing a title from the same genre, it's okay to get inspired
Besides avoiding faking being a morning person (I drag so much during the morning is not fun), it would be traveling a couple of times per year. When I get to be a full time author, a comfy budget for traveling is a must.
loved this!! you guys make me smile (^': this video definitely made me think a little deeper as i'm attempting to be a full-time writer for a little while (a much needed break from the 9-5 life), but i'm still trying to get the courage to go write in coffee shops and the such. mic said something about setting daily goals, and i think incorporating that with planning writing dates with myself would be beneficial. anywho!! enjoyed the vlog 💛
Obsessed with this ❤ (Also please tell me you will write off the food/coffees/smoothies you bought in this video as a business expense because you were writing/made a UA-cam video about it)
I think the top thing I'd love about full time writing would be similar to what Mic said--just the freedom to not have a set schedule and let myself be intuitive with my productivity and creativity. Also, side note, I've never considered myself a "morning bird" or a "night owl" but more of a "midday pigeon" lol 😂
I’m living the reality of this but as an illustrator. You end up becoming stricter with yourself because the freedom thing can get out of hand 😅 It’s scary when you get to day 15 of “not feeling it today”. - like if you don’t whip yourself into shape you’re going to fall of a cliff and never get a creative idea ever again!
the simultaneous "okay!" after trying the smoothie is giving ✨girlhood✨
I love this comment so much hahaha
This video made me more grateful for actually being a full time author! I often forget the gift of it. Thank you.
Aw I love that. Congrats on achieving the dream :’)

Ahhhh this is such a great idea! I need to start taking my writing out of my house lol
Hahaha I swear by the out of house writing sessions!
Obsessed with this ❤ (Also please tell me you will write off the food/coffees/smoothies you bought in this video as a business expense because you were writing/made a UA-cam video about it)
I really need to start writing things off hahaha especially with how frequently I go to cafes!! I need a business bank account to keep track 👀
@@briellewrites A business account or a spread sheet with dates, amounts, location, and receipts, definitely more time consuming but either way works!
@@SaraLubratt true!!! My organization systems need a revamp lol :’)
You have such cute book stores. I’m jealous!
