If you just go out and ask a random girl straight up for a date yeah it's going to be a lot of rejection even if you are good looking.
By going out there , go somewhere where people go to have fun. Vacations , music shows even historical monuments etc. somewhere where people will be more open to meeting new people.
By asking a girl out , start a random conversation completely unrelated to dating and after a while if you notice interest ( if she is talking with you for an hour there is a decent chance she is interested ) than ask her out.
Its not easy by any means and rejection sucks , but I never used dating app in my life.

@@Makyura43 You do realise that men (and most women) use dating apps to sleep around, not to seek relationships, do you? You do also realise that the majority of women between 18 and 28 want to sleep around not form a relationship to lead to marriage, do you?
The model you present reflects a past society which ceased to exist since at least the early 90s, i.e. it was dead even before the advent of the internet and about 20 years before the popularisation of dating apps.
Go back and check the numbers. The numbers never lie, the give you the reality as it is. 80% of men are deemed unattractive by the average woman. That means that the average woman who could be "better" than merely the 35%-40% of the female population (i.e. a relatively unattractive woman) finds unattractive men who are better than 75% and even 80% of the male population. Average women find "somewhat attractive" and only "under strict conditions" some 15% of men (i.e. men who are better than the 80% of the male population) and they do find genuinely attractive only 5% of men (i.e. men who are better than 95%o of the male population).
The average woman does not want to do anything with the average man and will only think of it around 30 years old, after she has been used and abused and being then desperate for a man to impregnate her and pay for her kids. That is the state of affairs today. If it was different most women would be married by 21-22 years old. They prefer to go have "careers" because they do not want to be associated with the men that actually correspond to them.

Unlike what Brett nonchalantly suggested (going out and asking a [possible mate] out) there are individuals which through no fault of their own will never find someone to be their partner, who may not even have the function of preforming sexually, and for these people porn is likely the only method they have of experiencing even an inkling of sexual satisfaction, on top of this there are those who decided that they do not wish to breed, or form partnerships, but still have sexual desires(not to be confused with a romantic asexuals) which porn can solve. I won’t say that the current system isn’t full of problems(as is pretty much every system touched by capabilities greed) but it does have legitimate use cases outside of just hijacking the human sex drive.

I don't think its as simple as that. "Go ask girl out on a date." Good luck with that. For most (average) men be prepared for shit-ton of rejection. The #me-too movement, has taken care of that, you cant even approach woman at bar , store , gym , etc.. with out the possibility looking like a stalker. ( or perv) ( unless your attractive guy), Worse case scenario ,charged possibly for harassment.
The key problem is that women are only interested in the very top of the scale. They do not realize just how selective they are. To them men of 6ft are plentiful - in reality only 15% of the population at best.
Most women wouldn’t give a guy with the national average salary a second look. 50% of men will earn less than this average. Women are roughly twice as likely as men to say that they will value financial viability in a man, for him to increase his rating on a 10-point scale by two points he requires around a tenfold increase in his salary. For a woman to achieve the same two point Improvement on a 10-point scale in a salary would need to increase by 10,000 times. A woman is concerned about a partner's socioeconomic status. ( Most have the golden penis syndrome)

( your the type of guy that works with his hands for a living ,Blue collar - your chance are even worse )
And another big one need to be in top 20% in looks also - Now days average looking girl wont even give average looking guy a chance, she can go online and get all the dates, and validation she wants.
That's one of reasons a lot of men, go to porn, you can pacify yourself without dealing with shit - I believe whole -heartily most men would want be in committed relationship if given a choice.

I agree that the problem is bigger than porn. The modern world is NOTHING like a hunter gatherer tribe where we spent all of our human evolution.
The problem includes the shaming you mentioned. Women thinking they are all tens. But don’t just pass that off as female nature like the bitter red pills do. It’s the modern environment.
Women don’t need individual men anymore. That’s the biggest fundamental piece. It’s hard to want and appreciate things you don’t need. When your needs are met all you have left is desires that aren’t as important.
The number one cause of male suicide is not feeling useful. And I would add that it’s probably not feeling useful to a woman. Hard for them to feel appreciative when they don’t have a use for you though. And I would say THAT is what makes them only interested in Chris Hemsworth rather than a dysfunctional ignorance of all average men.
A hunter gatherer tribe wasn’t composed of one guy banging all the women and fifty virgins.Women aren’t THAT hypergamous in our natural habitat. The fifty guys would quickly just kill the alpha under those conditions.
Please learn more so you can understand the real evolutionary causes instead of just blaming females instincts.

Women across the board feel entitled to the top 10% of men. That leaves a lot of men sh** out of luck. It's not entirely men's fault/choice. The problem is much deeper than men just being lazy and choosing porn over relationships. Nobody would make that choice given a better option. But not everyone can be a top 10-20% guy. Women need to take responsibility for their role in this problem too, which is embracing the false promises of feminism. They need to humble themselves and remember that being a woman is about fulfilling a social role more than it is about fulfilling selfish unrealistic fantasies. It's about building strong children, communities, and country more than any individual woman's fantasy. Yes there is something broken, and unfortunately women broke it. Of course sex with a real life human partner is more satisfying than watching porn. What an absolutely absurd statement. The problem is lack of access to physical intimacy. Most every guy would choose a gratifying relationship to porn, but in a time when it's the hardest for even above average guys (6 and 7s) to find a woman who is interested, vs the fact porn is at its most available and accepted (in the history of our country at least) It's no wonder so many men (young and old) turn to porn. Just scroll through UA-cam shorts, see how many average women put ridiculous demands or qualifications on potential partners. They did a study where they took the stats from the top 5 dating sites and they found 82% of women only found 5.6% of the men dateable. Roll those numbers around in your head. And have things we struggle with. That being said, it is scientifically and objectively very bad for our society, no matter how we try to paint it. Yes, there are some creators who are not victims of anything, some who view it sparingly enough it doesn’t have a significant impact on their brain but in all reality it is like alcohol. It’s a terrible drug that ruins many lives but is viewed as normal or culturally accepted by many cultural groups around the world and is even being further normalized. The science is there, pornography is a terrible thing, we don’t need to go on as a society justifying it as empowering or freedom. We can accept that it does exist, because banning it is certainly a terrible idea (prohibition anyone?), but we need to stop accepting it and glorifying it because of the 1% who make a good living or don’t outwardly appear terribly affected by it.

Nowdays there's like a million reasons why I was right from the start, we can see the after effects everywhere at every corner, but I don't think we can stop it anymore, we can just educate people more. For people who still think porn does nothing with humanity, just give them a simple response that is true and based in reality, like "porn has progressed so much that some people are now sexually addicted to fictional animals fucking half humans and can't get off to humans anymore, but because there's not much of this specific content on the internet, they are willing to pay absurd amounts to authors of these works on Patreon etc.. just to get another dose.. to the point where they can't no longer function in a society and end up posting LGBTQ+ promotion content on Twitter all day and write fan fictions about different types of dragon's dicks"

There's plenty of instances of parents doing their absolute best to raise their children certain ways, including to ensure that have certain values, only for those kids to either rebel against it or as simple as just turn into their own person despite the upbringing.
Kids don't always follow the advice their parents give them. Even if you lay out the pros and cons for them, even with making them feel comfortable enough to talk to you about it, they may still walk away from those conversations convinced that the pros outweigh the cons.

Here's my take on this issue: For Men to consider stop watching pron, you would have to give them some kind of compromise that is worth it for them. Modern day women have way too high of expectations on Men, so you could also argue the influx of Men watching pron is due to the lack of female partners out there willing to date on their level. If every man had a partner, guaranteed you would see a drop in Men wanting to watch pron. It wouldn't completely go away, but you would would see a major decline. Both parties involved have a responsibility to fix what's going on, not just Men.

    • @chrisjfox8715
      @chrisjfox8715 Рік тому +3

Typically with arguments like this I'd say that men need to take responsibility for themselves well enough to stop expecting women to give them the time of day just because they say hi. A man, any person for that matter, should aim to become a better person for the sake of themselves..not to impress someone else and feel entitled to a reward for that self-improvement. If girls are rejecting you then take it as a blessing that those girls aren't right for you - become the best version of yourself *for yourself* and seek out the *right* girl, not the multitude.
HOWEVER, I do agree that the struggle of all of that is what leads dudes to falling into it. It is a blind spot on Brett's part when she said "Go ask a girl on a date!", but here's the thing...a lot of these dudes spend more of their time and energy complaining about how girls are based largely on the echo chambers they stick to online far more than any significant amount of experience they have with actually socializing with people. Like the dudes claiming they're scared of getting charged with sexual harrassment, yet can't tell me of a single incident of such that that's ever happened to anyone they knoe. Staying at home is quite literally the most counterproductive solution to their problem of finding a woman, and at the end of the day a man needs to take responsibility for what he wants.
That said, it's all a big circlejerk clusterfuck: girls make millions on onlyfans because there's a market of lonely men that "can't" get dates with real girls...all because real girls are picky and dismissive towards these men...all because the culture of *endless* choices being at girls' fingertips gave them room/NEED to be selective...all because a ton of horny men flood these women's inboxes with these endless choices. I think the start of the "Tinder" era led a lot of men to believe that it was going to make dating easier, not realizing that because SO many dudes are willing to get with just about any girl then girls online tend to get tons of attention which is addictive in its own way.
Bottom line, porn and onlyfans are only successful for these women because of the market that feeds it. You're right that picky women create lonely men, but the entitlement of lonely men is the very thing that gave women more and more reason to get picky in the first place. Breed a culture of men with decently high standards then women, both in real life and online, won't have the massive inevitible audience anymore.

@@chrisjfox8715 Agreed. However, the likeliness of that happening is very slim. Everyone would have to cohesively work together to make it stop but I don't see that ever happening. There is always going to be a portion of people that give in. There has to be a compromise in place or deterrent to start seeing practical change on a mass scale. People generally change based on hedonistic tendencies or fear, not from the goodness of their heart. Every major historical leader operated on these factors, and unfortunately that's what it takes to change the world.

@@joshberry777 agreed. I actually think the influence of the internet overall got away from us faster than we knew how to deal with, and yes the genie is out of the bottle.
But the very thing I'm getting at is that part of that compromise you speak of is that people need to start holding the men accountable for how we got here and are here just as much as they hold the women accountable. Everybody's waiting on someone else to make the righteous move. And much like with promiscuity and hook up culture in the real world, somehow the onus is on women to keep their legs closed yet it's okay for men to stick it in wherever they can get it all because "that's just biological" as if we can't societally rise above being a man-whore just because the candy's available. It takes two to tango... You can't have a society of sexually indulgent straight women without a society of sexually indulgent male partners to take part with them. And even to the degree that most men aren't man-whores at all, we live in a society that largely has no problem with those that are..if not encourages it. Then some of the very people that've encouraged it seem shocked and appalled that an era of sexually indulgent women has blown up the way that it has.
I get that the sexual, even merely social, *depravation* of lonely men is what you're talking about, but much of the way a lot of these men's mental state responded to rejection has a TON to do with how much pressure society put on them (i.e., making them feel like they were less than a man just because they weren't getting laid as much as the next guy). Not just being rejected by women but being ridiculed by fellow men, making them not feel good enough well enough to just give up. But I will say that it has more to do with a longing for even just some basic human connection with a female, since many girls' impatience with even the slightest flaw from a man can often stand in the way of that connection...or dudes leading them to believe that "the friend zone" is a four-letter word as if there's no such thing as purposely and happily just being friends with a girl..which fundamentally stems from society being SO sex-crazed that many of these men have internalized every girl that isn't interested in getting sexual as a rejection well enough for them to give up on the real world, to then live online in echo chambers that help them justify the notion that "no girl" wants them...all because society, men included, made them feel like shit for not being sexually active enough.

Honestly I like brett cooper, but her argument on this is pretty weak:(
The reason I think porn is bad is because sex and intimacy is something that I believe should be saved for marriage. Because it’s sacred. However the greatest gift god gave us Is agency. There is nothing I would/could do to change others behaviors because their reality and beliefs are different than mine.
Do I agree that the industry and its effects on consumers is bad? Yes but, can I control what others are doing? No. Do I want to? No. Because, it’s important for EVERYONE to choose these things for themselves.

No matter which way you fall on this subject, this is a great example of someone having an opinion, and struggling to use logic to justify it. She gives some examples, but she doesn’t actually have any data, or proof to prove any of it. She also repeatedly alludes to the fact that these are purely her opinion, and that she thinks the world should conform to her beliefs. She ends by saying she doesn’t wish to actually create any change in the world, that these are just her opinions, but that the world to change to match her opinions.
There are a lot of valid reasons and concerns in her opinions, but she doesn’t back it up with anything substantial, or make a strong argument for any of them, while having the underlined tone of one thing in the world to change to conform to her opinions.
Also, people should refrain from saying “objectionable“ without hard numbers. All of her “objectionable” statements are subjective at face value, within the context of the conversation.
I don’t mean this as a heavy criticism of her as a person, I don’t know who she is, or anything about her, I’m just pointing out that you shouldn’t be swayed by peoples opinions without hard evidence, and in the case of this video alone, none are presented. Maybe she has a more proper thesis somewhere out there.
