DiResta Light Box Sign

- This is rush sign i was asked to make in 2 days for and indoor event in California. The face is made of lexan Plastic!
Because of the cold the glue was not drying fast enough to ship the sign... So i use 2/56 x .5" screws through the face to keep the pieces of frosted plastic in place. i was able to ship the sign with peace of mind. Off camera i did paint the screw heads.

At first I was like, this isn't really the best quality sign I've seen Jimmy make. Then I read the description about it being a rush job, and it made total sense. It's a killer sign for that quick of a turn around. A skilled artisan like Jimmy can make such beautiful things, even in haste.
Aside from the other works of pure class, it's not hard to see why Bulleit keep coming back for more signs from you. Loved the vid man!
Gday from down under. Thanks for doing another sign video, probably my favorites. Quick tip mate, if you spray your blade with cooking spray when cutting aluminum, you get a smoother cut and the material doesn't jump around too much. Especially when using a circular saw. All good mate, keep it up. Stevo
I love watching your sign builds. always something new to pick up from them. Great job Brother! 👍🏼
I can’t say enough how much I love the little hands. And when Spike decides to help.
That little hands. Love and respect for this hard-working man.
Another "Classic Little Hands" video!
I also love the feeling I get knowing you are thinking the next three steps ahead.
Love & Respect Brother.
I love the sign videos, always have, always will
Love it. Never gets boring watching your content. Thanks!
Very cool idea to make it look like metal! I love the "rivets" around the frame. They really make it work!
Wow, that is awesome! You are one skilled carftsman. Pure artisan
Got to love “Tiny Hands”. Great job as always Jimmy.
Good work. Its always fun to watch what will be the next project.
Great job Jimmy! Always something new to learn from watching your videos! 👍
Keep up the great work brother , cant get enough of your videos or podcast , I'm almost caught up to current events on making it!
I’ll never get sick of these videos!
haha thank you brother!
Whenever I see that you, David or Bob have a new video it is the highlight of my day. I know I say it all the time but thanks for the inspiration brother.
Fabulous how the light above the led strips seems to come out of the letters, like it is supernatural as though it gives a glimpse into a brilliant reality that normally is forbidden to us. Thanks for sharing!
This is why I watch your videos Jimmy. A rush sign that looks great. The different colours sprayed on the front and I did wonder why you drilled the sign at the end... but read your description and well that's cool! Time to get making!
Classic DiResta! So happy to see both tiny hands and Jimmy at the bandsaw. :)
Amazing as always! Thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Your sign videos always make me want to go and build a sign for myself!
Jimmy you rock man!! Always love the videos! Excited to see this one 🤙🏼 keep up the great video making ✊🏼🎉
I always love it when I see a notification and have the time to watch it right away. Cool backlit sign. I always want to do one of these. Never take the time.
love the Griswold moment with the plugging in of the lights.
Probably one of the cooler looking signs you’ve made. I like the studded look by attaching the little acrylic pieces.
Yeah, super simple technique to make that simple angle look more industrial. Very cool.
We enjoyed a couple of shots of Bulleit just last night! I could watch you making signs forever, type is fascinating.
One more good job. I think you've already made another box signs for this client. Congratulations.
Nice one mate. Easy to see why they trust you with the rush jobs. No fuss about not having the right materials, just get it done with what you have or can get quickly.
Hey Jimmy, I just finished up making a pressure foot for my Cnc router. It removes all the lift you get on thin sheet material. Also means you can get rid of most of your tabs, just one or two per part. I couldn't be happier with it, no more cat hands needed.
Awesome work Jimmy! 👍🏻👊🏻
I love your never give up attitude, great can do everything genius I think. Inspiration to me
My lastest NEEDS: 1) CNC; 2) Some talent; 3) Set of tiny hands. I'll settle for a bottle of Bulleit (my favorite for the past few years). Thanks, Jimmy!
With every 100 signs, you get free bluegrass music! Love the sign, Jimmy. Now I know how to "hover" the parts of letters that are cut out, like the B.
Amazing as usual Mr Diresta! Awesome talent sir!
Really good stuff - cheers Jimmy & have a great weekend !!

You are a true artist. I love your videos.
The Fonzarelli of fasteners. Great Video Jimmy. Thanks!
Is it just me or does it seem like Jimmy really likes making signs. I've been looking forward to this one, the pictures he already shared were pretty cool!
He's good at it and they pay well while providing content for his channel. What's not to like?
I saw something with him on Ask This Old House where he said that he spent many years working in sign shops. I think it may have been one of his first jobs.
Stakman1-Stacey L when you think about it handmade signs are really cool. They are one of a kind, seen by thousands of people and used many many years. Who wouldn’t love making it!
Te admiro, te respeto, y te envidio!!! Abrazo desde Mar del Plata, Argentina!!!
I'm most impressed with how you can make something like this so quickly in your shop, where it would take me 9 trips the supply stores.
Those little hands are so creepy !!!!! I love it !!!
I thought Donald Trump was helping him.
Reminds me of the SNL when they were making fun of Lawrence Welk
Jimmy, you better not let OSHA see you making your hired help have his hands that close to the router.
Steve
Ficou muito bom!! Mais uma vez um excelente trabalho, parabéns!!!

Was wondering how you were gonna attach the middles of the letters - such a simple idea! Great video Jimmy 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Wow, even your rush work is awesome! Great! :)
Those little worker hands! 🤣 watch those tiny little fingers! 😂🤣
Awesome as usual! Nice job!
This is a great example of customer relationships. As jimmy has made loads for Bulleit. Returning business. And with new toys and technics and ideas makes more and varied works for them. Would love to see a video on how much is your idea Jimmy and how much does the customer input into the process. As you have many signs for these and each is vastly different 👍
thank you!!! i got little sketch for this concept.. the time crunch was more important that the design ..
they trust i will give something good as long it was on time
Love the bluegrass!! Play more of it plz!!!🤗
Jeeej, just what I longed for, a sign video, thanks sir.
You probably won’t read this (but just in case..😜) Thank You so much for doing what you do! Sharing “Tricks of the Trade” is one of the MANY things you provide for us all, which is FREE content by the way! Much Love Brother! ❤️Have A Super Week!.....Gus
Love the tiny hands. 👍🏼
I need to meet this man!! Diageo need to commission more works and bring you to Scotland 🏴
Sweet sign Jimmy! Did you use the screws on the face of the sign for added strength or to add to the design?
Awesome work. As always.
Inspired.
Again.
Thank you.
When you're up against the clock, the correct material is whatever you have to hand right now. The CNC must be a massive time saver for rush jobs like this.
Sei per me numero uno. Non ti serve un operaio posso lavorare pure gratis sei attrezzato veramente bene complimenti
Omg Clean work wow !
Jimmy it’s Colten from Averill Park, I completed your homework of making the sheath on that ice pick I put the ring on and everything, I sanded the sheath a bit so that it was shiny and I really liked that look and I thought that your shop was super cool with everything that you have there and I’d love to do one of your blacksmithing classes, if you read this it’d be great to get your number down or something so we could talk about the stuff we build
-Thank you so much for letting me meet you and thanks for the ice pick too😁😁😁
Great video and project
I absolutely love the tiny hands 😁
