This was the most helpful combi valve replacement how-to video I have watched, partly because of your exposition and partly because the wiring and piping most closely matched those of my 2001 Passat (AUG engine). Instead of removing the air injection inlet hose completely, I removed the three mounting screws from the valve adapter itself, swung the assembly upward, and pulled off the combi valve assembly. I have the Schwaben low-profile Torx driver set, and wish I had a hex version of it, but a T30 fits a 5mm hex decently enough, assuming the bolt is not too tight. Anyway, everything went according to plan. I cleaned the small amount of carbon off of the adapter, replaced the gunked-up valve, and reassembled everything. Thanks again for a very helpful video!

I've got a 04' Passat GL 1.8T Wagon with 5-Speed Manual & Four Motion. Last of this specified vehicle according to VW's chart of registered vehicles. She runs still smooth and quiet but she has 228k. Still has alot of it's original one time use clamps and tubes (Sept PCV of course). Appreciate the video. I'm sure she is due for a EGR cleaning. Thanks much for the video.
Check your hydraulic cam chain tension adjuster. If that is the source of the noise, you need to tend to it before the chain jumps a tooth or two and you mash your 12 inlet valves against the pistons. (Big OUCH financially.)
I have a simple Audi A6 1.8T 2002, and got the "Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow P0411" Error. Should I replace thr EGR with a new one in order to solve the issue?
My Lord it doesn't matter what it is called, it still needs replaced and this video shows you how to do it. Combi is actually what the Germans call the EGR valve, so that's technically not correct either, if we are using your definition.

sall, before you take the egr out and clean the car, it had some symptoms, the engine was misfiring, etc

How to check the solenoid under intake that kontroll egr valve?
You sure this is called EGR valve ? This is COMBI VALVE and it doesnt take the exhaust but air from SAI pump. Check again.
