Dji drone is not ban for customers. Do your research. Smh. It's ban for federal use. Such as for the military, police, fireman used. It is NOT ban for customers use. How stupid are ppl. Lmao
@@luf123 You are 💯 percent correct. This is an Air 3 manufactured at DJI and sold through the Specta company. That is my assessment at this time. I have a hard time believing that Specta has taken such a large financial risk just to be able to produce a perfect clone. Stranger things have happened though. We will know if it is a clone as soon as DJI levels Specta with good strong lawsuit. I strongly doubt that will happen though. Cards on the table, I am considering selling Mavic 2 Pro just to get ahead of the new FCC ban, of DJI consumer products, that may be coming down. Not trying to sir conspiracy but those pieces of this puzzle sure do fit together well.
There simply is no way DJI would stand by and let an unauthorized copy of their drone, controller, firmware, and apps be sold. This would not be the first time so-called "white label" products appeared under different company names in tech. Want more? Reportedly the firmware and app upgrades for this drone are downloading from the DJI CDN.
My guess is that this is the factory in Hong Kong that makes DJI. They make more than DJI orders, and sell them for a little cheaper until Jays Tech Vault does a video about them.
@@taswegian62 its still DJI, remember, most companies that get sanctioned or banned will create a shell company that is a ''different'' brand and than remove their own branding from it and continue selling the same products but now under their new founded company.
I believe DJI is moving the Air 3 sideways in order to bring out an Air 3s or Air 3Pro. I think they are slowly learning their lesson about quick releases. One example is the Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro. The 3 Pro got left in the dust. This way they are able to deplete their stock of earlier versions without undermining their price structure. IMHO.
It would be fun to download that rc firmware into your computer before they realize that released a test version of dji remote control firmware. It would be great to share and see how the guys would do with it.
I would love to see the drone and rc2 connected to DJI assistant. Maybe you could flash it with the DJI firmware. I'm pretty sure it's 100% same hardware just assembled in Malaysia. Who knows why, dji band, tariff? It's a dji drone period!
Update the drone is actually DJI’s drone but they have a new company and gave the licensing in manufacturing to them so they can sell in the US again because of the ban DJI drones due to privacy concerns
I can't see how someone could justify saving a little money for something with zero support. I can't even find a website for these guys. Its like a drone from a parallel universe.
dji has a history of abandoning their older gear and software. which is great for everyone else down the line. so all this seems to be is the new frame with older internals.
What if someone could be buying a ton of dji air 3,s And Then Removing Everything That Has The Dji Watermark, customized the dji rc, and replacing stickers and reselling it as a specta air
The world up side down - China itself making perfect clones of their own products. I'd think it would be really cool a european country company see making a perfect clone of china's stuff, and then sell it for 500 euro's cheaper.
See this what i mean we suppose to as country have the best of of every technology but yet can't make a great consumer drone for there iwn American people i feel embarrassed as an American. 😂😂
Dji need to sue this company. Thats just a fake copy of the dji air 3. For $1200 i would just buy the real dji air 3. Hope this company get sue so we dont get fake dji drones on the market.
It’s the same company just renamed. Its so when DJI Gets banned they can still make profit in the U.S. DJI is a very popular company love by many but some people hate it because they think they’re privacy is a stake. This is a good alternative just in case things go south .
Well I got mine and they sent me a wrong battery. The second battery they sent me was for the many not for the air I was like Jesus fucking Christ. So now I had to send that back and I bought the deal that didn't have the hundred dollars off because I wanted the second battery and now that deals all fucking with the shit so now I'm trying to get them to refund me another hundred dollars and refund me for this stupid battery and then send me the right battery instead of messing this all up. It's probably a copy and it probably is dji. Keep in mind guys that don't cost them nothing to make this shit it doesn't cost them Jack schitt they don't have a ton of money in this stuff they're lucky they probably have a hundred bucks in this plastic crap
Is it possible that dji is selling these units to Specta to be able to circumvent a possible consumer ban on dji's products?
That’s my assumption
@@JaysTechVault It may also be DJI itself that is behind Spectra

you blame DJI for doing this if its indeed true? Its business

👍
Cheers so much ❤
I'll be surprised if it gets any software updates I wouldn't buy it.
@@a-1430 Exactly what I thought. I for one will be staying away from it.

Dji is senzhen china sillicon valley not hongkong
From the specs: "Country/Region of Origin Malaysia"

Very good take on the situation.
ohhh this is a great point! yeah it must be this for sure!
Thank you for the review. Did Cogito send you a replacement to test ?
it have the Log mode in video for better color grading?
Is it manufactured in Malaysia?
Any new updates on this drone and how it’s held up.

So much more interesting than other “Specta” videos. Especially the back side information!!! Very cool and 💯 intriguing 👍
Not better than a complete tear down lol.
i wonder if you can put the dji software in it
Excellent review; thanks for posting this.
How did your rc2 get into the hidden menu?😮
Fantastic break down thanks
does it have C1 certificate as original dji drone?
Are the batteries interchangeable?
No
That is so bizarre…
If dji is banned in the us, it could prevent customers from getting it in stores. Dji is smart if they are doing this
Is it remote ID compatible?
Yes

Tried that no dice.
can it fly where is not allowed with dji drone
look up how to disable geo fencing works on DJI drones
the best civilian drone out there.
Update the drone is actually DJI’s drone but they have a new company and gave the licensing in manufacturing to them so they can sell in the US again because of the ban DJI drones due to privacy concerns
Now they have started selling extra batteries in Amazon, also the price came down to 850 $
hey do you still play on that minecraft server you have?
Very educational review 🤔

That was a fun fact...
Why buy that when its the same price
What if someone could be buying a ton of dji air 3,s And Then Removing Everything That Has The Dji Watermark, customized the dji rc, and replacing stickers and reselling it as a specta air
DJI is getting prepared for bans in the U.S so they made this :)
Dji is ban for federal use only. That's for military, police, fireman. It is not ban for customers. Do your fcking research ? Lmao
Are you able to use drone hacks for this?
It is DJI. We have receipts.
I chose the it only costs 29 dollars to replace my avata if it breaks lol
Wait until you realise potensic are made in the fimi factory
I am a consumer. I am consuming Spectra, and if the law bans DJI consumption, .... then I am not breaking any law.
Are you saying the system is a clone… but the batteries are proprietary!?!?
Obviously the hardware and software is different, it might look similar on the outside but inside it’s not
You pay it if DJI is banned in your country but Specta is not
It's easy to stay 2 steps ahead of Feds
Because it's basically the same drone with almost no internal changes. Yes we've already seen a tear down
The world up side down - China itself making perfect clones of their own products. I'd think it would be really cool a european country company see making a perfect clone of china's stuff, and then sell it for 500 euro's cheaper.
Its not a clone or a rebrand
This drone is here because the US is gonna banned dji drones... Keep up😂😂😂
It’s not a clone 👎🏽 there’s literally dji components inside
This company bought beta production units and removed dji’s logos.
Don’t let the boys in Ukraine see this hahaha

More China wares. Not Good.
But it’s still right around the same price, when they’re probably making that shit in China for like 300 bucks why am I paying 1100?
The short answer I’m not
You pay for not having the stupid dji geozones
Except you still do
